Jul 18, 2010I need to get the url of the webpage the webbrowser is navigating to, but since the code executes faster than the webbrowser navigates to the webpage, it gets the url of the last page. I cant use DocumentComplete Event because i have a tabbed browser,
and i cant write events because im creating tabs(with webbrowsers) at run-time. So how would i check to see if the webbrowser has loaded a document?

May 18, 2009I've made a gui for a cmd line program and I need to wait for the cmd line program to finish running before continuing.nd I have some code that starts the cmd line program and then calls a subroutine when it's finished running. But this method won't work since now I'm trying to run the cmd line program in a loop.Edit:Is there a way to just have the runtsmod subroutine (shown below) wait until the cmd line program is finished, instead of relying upon a subroutine starting when the cmd lineprogram finishes. This would simplify things greatly being able to call the sub tha starts the cmd line program and having it finish when the cmd line program is done.

VS 2008 Wait For File To Finish Downloading
Apr 4, 2010I'm downloading a file asynchronously so that it doesn't stall the UI. I'm using a very basic WebClient and calling .DownloadFileAsync.The file I'm downloading is required for additional tasks after it has been downloaded. The issue that I'm running into is that, since the file is being downloaded on another thread, execution on the main thread continues while the file hasn't finished downloading.Is there any way to pause execution while the file is being downloaded? Or is there a better method?

Wait For Files To Finish Populating A Directory Before Processing?
May 26, 2010I am using the FilesystemWatcher to look for files in a Directory, it does not matter what the file is. After a file appears it starts my ftp process and I end up with a bunch of 0 byte files because it processed before all the files arrived.
I would like to WaitFor... (Files_Created) to finish but dont seem to have the right syntax to get this to work properly. I have working code up until it loops. As you can see I have tried various processes to get it to work... mostly commented out. I also have imported just about everything trying to get this to work. Please ask away.

WebBrowser Control Is In A Wait State : How To Kill The Wait
May 27, 2009While navigating to a series of sites at one site the WebBrowser control's DocumentCompleted EVENT is tripped and no other recorded Browser events occur after that. When this happens the hour glass cursor indicates the browser is waiting. From this point it take 120 to 250 seconds of wall clock time before the browser resumes. I am looking for a way to force an abnormal termination without destroying the control. I have tried "Stop", "nav to about:blank" repeatedly without success. How can I force an abnormal termination when the Cntrl is in a wait state?
Consider the following: The last known Browser event to be tripped is a Document Complete event; nothing else occurs after this. When this transpires the Cntrl is waiting.

i currently have

to check if the webbrowser is loading, but it doesnt really work.

Dec 25, 2011I have been tasked to do a project, and have been given a list of links from the client - what the Project needs to do is:1 - open google with a specific search phrase - no problem2 - look on that page for any links containing any member of the list of links, if found, invalidate the entry in the list, and auto-click the link, then go back3 - repeat for any other "finds" on that page4 - when done, auto-click on "Next" (no problem) and go back to step 2For now, I am not even attempting to auto-click the found link and go back, I am just listing all found links in a TextBox. The problem I am having is waiting for the next pages to load before looking for a match in the list of links. I tried using webBrowser.DocumentCompletedto set a Boolean - I tried testing WebBrowserReadyState in the DocumentCompleted event ar the code below gives the best results but it is inconsistent, meaning it completely misses some pages that I know have links on them that match.

Sep 4, 2009I am trying to automate login and navigation to a website using the WebBrowser control. I can successfully logon to the site using the wb control but after that I can't seem to get access to the newly loaded document's elements within the same routine. I check for ReadyState Complete and IsBusy but they don't seem to be working. There don't appear to be any frames being used at all so I can't figure out why this won't work. I know that the wb control is successfully logging in because I can see the page load in the wb control. However, after the page loads I try to access the HTMLDocument for the new page (after logging in) and it is either set to Nothing or it's the previous page's HTML. I've tried putting in a Sleep to wait for the page to finish before trying to access the HTMLDocument on the new page but it still doesn't work. If I create a button on my form that accesses the HTMLDocument and click it it works fine. I can't figure out how to ensure that the entire page has finished loading within my routine. I tried putting a switch into the DocumentCompleted event but that doesn't work either.

The ToolStripMenuItem properties are set to CheckonClick and an example of forum1. vb code for this section of the application is:[code]What I need is for the user to be able to add his/her own ToolStripMenueItems to those already present, along with the base url.So that clicking Button1 sends them to the base url And also have the Radio Buttons automatically add the extensions to the base url when the RadioButton is clicked.They need to be able to do this from the application itself.But I'm not sure how to code this in.They will not have VB to make modifications.

C# - WebBrowser.Print() Wait Until Complete?
Mar 18, 2010I am using a WebBrowser control in VB.NET and calling the Print() method. I am printing out using a PDF printer and when Print() is called it is not immediately kicked off (it waits until it has completed running code for the entire Sub or block.
I need to make sure the file I am printing too is complete and continue process with this file, therefore, I would like to print on demand and get some status of when the operation is complete. I have tried usign printDocument and process without luck.

Now the thing is that when I write the HTML of page in file, it does not write the HTML of current page rather than the initial one because it calls the event before even the page is loaded.
How can I wait until the page is completely loaded before calling any event?

If ret is true, not loaded, otherwise, loaded. It works fine on winxp, however, on vista, most times, it works, sometimes, not. Do I have to use documentcomplete for this? The page is loaded from another thread, does it matter?

Using a WebBrowser control, it works in a 2 step fashion, using a textbox to input the symbol and a button to trigger navigation.
