May 28, 2011I am building an application where on a form is a datagridview and textboxes. The dgv and tb are bound to the same table. I am using the dgv to have an overview of the records and the tb I use for editing. Selecting a record programmatically in the dgv is no problem, but the textboxes have to be filled with the same record. Here I have added my code to this far.

I want it to show the person's name, then their age, (jump down a line) then their ticket price, and then it jumps down a line to show the next person's name, age and ticket price. Issue is, when it's meant to jump down to show the next person, it just completely deletes the last person's details.I'm using this line of code:

PerformClick() Doesn't Work - How To Make It Work
Feb 2, 2011I have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.

Dec 18, 2010I have nine pictures that I need to animate -I need to use the ToString method and a counter to concatenate a file name into a string variable from the Image.FromFile method. Once the counter reaches its maximum value, and the last picture is displayed, the counter should be reset to zero or one depending on how the first image file has been name. Also a static counter variable should be incremented in the time routine. what I have so far -- I know what I have to do; however, I just do not know how to code this properly.. Right now I have this going thru a button procedure but it needs to go through a timer.

Reflected Method From A Loaded Assembly Executes Before Calling Method?
Jun 9, 2009When I am loading an Assembly dynamically, then calling a method from it, I appear to be getting the method from Assembly executing before the code in the method that is calling it.It does not appear to be executing in a Serial manner as I would expect. Can anyone shine some light on why this might be happening. Below is some code to illustrate what I am seeing, the code from the some.dll assembly calls a method named PerformLookup. For testing I put a similar MessageBox type output with "PerformLookup Time: " as the text. What I end up seeing is:
First: "PerformLookup Time: 40:842"
Second: "initIndex Time: 45:873"

The user should be able to enter a part number consisting of numbers and either one or two letters. "MS" representing "Mail-Standard, "MP" for "MailPriority", "FS" for "FedEx-Standard", "FO" for "FedEx "Overnight" and "U" represents "UPS" I want to code it so that it does the above and displays an appropriate message when the part number contains an invalid letter or letters.
