Visual Studio 2005 SP1cr10 developer also installedOn XP machine, works fine. Got a Windows 7 machine(64bit and all) and copy over the project, run it and can't, I get an error in each crystal report gets an error [code]I take these lines out, and no more error for the report. Since there are like 40 reports in a project and there's 5 different projects that would have to be altered, this will be a pain. And I'm not the only developer. Another developer, on Vista and another will be coming in on XP, don't have this issue. I've tried uninstalling everything Cr and visual studio, then reinstalled visual studio and ran it, same thing, then installed SP1, same thing, then updated security fixes, same thing. CR10 isn't installed. I've removed and added the references back ,they seem to be the exact same versions.
I can create a program or web page that can display crystal reports. I have searched and searched with google but am still none the wiser. I foolishly assumed that there would just be some .NET SDK on the Crystal Reports website, and there isnt... there is a lot of talk about it, but no download link or anything. They are using Crystal 8.5 - does anyone have a clue how I can even get started with this? Will there be an SDK on the Crystal CD or something?
I have Visual Studio 2010 Professional, version Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Version 10.0.30319.1 RTMRel Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.0.30319 RTMRel
[Code]...
After installation completed, i could not find the crystal reports any where in the VB2010, so i changed the .Net Frame work from Client profile to .Net framework 4.0 as i found in some blogs, but still did not solve the problem any how.
I am working on VB.NET(Visual studio 2008)..I completed developing my application and i need to deploy the application. I tried it and faced problems in some areas like adding crystal reports to the setup and deployment. I created a setup file to my application and everything is fine except crystal reports...its showing the error like; An error occurred in crystalDecisions.Reports, crystalEngine threw exception.
I am refactoring an old program to use VS2008 (instead of VS2005) and the 2003 Crystal Reports merge modules no longer work on the client machine. I am using the CR version bundled with VS2008. Neither the CR10 merge modules downloaded from the SAP site work, nor the CR x86 msi.
Could not load file or assembly 'CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms, Version=10.2.3600.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
Add a new report to a windows forms project. Now add the table data region from the tools. If you don't already have a strongly typed dataset displayed in the data sources view, get that ready. Now do the tried and true easy-to-use trick of dragging a field from data sources onto the table's details row.
I have built a project using VS 2010 and I have 2 reports I am creating within the project. While in VS2010, I can debug the program and the reports work perfectly. Now I have come to the point where I want to publish my project and install it on a machine that my program will be used on. I tried 'Publishing' my project and running the 'Setup' file on the other computer and I get the following error: Unable to install or run the application. The application requires
that assembly CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommonObjectModel Version 13.0.2000.0 be installed in the Global Assembly Cache (GAC) first. Please Contact your System Administrator.
Doing some research, I have found out that you can manually change the GAC or have Windows Installer fix it for you. To be honest, I don't know where the GAC is or how to modify it. My ideal solution would be to figure out how to setup Windows Installer to fix the GAC and configure Crystal reports however to get my project to run on a basic machine. setup Windows Installer to install the appropriate Crystal Reports Engine so my project will work??
I've developed a small windows form application in Visual Studio 2005. I have tested the application on a completely fresh install of Vista 32-bit as well as Vista 64-bit and it works fine... But when I copy the application onto an XP machine the following problems occur:The application no longer has its icon, just the default .exe console box icon Whenever I try to open the application, absolutely nothing happens
I am creating reports in Crystal Reports that is integrated within Visual Studio 2008, and I noticed that some of the features are disabled. One is the ability to link tables with a Right Outer Join or Full Outer Join. I also cannot "Show SQL Query" in Crystal Reports. Is this something I can enable or do I have to purchase or upgrade?
I have a test app driven by bluetooth serial events In my form load code I hide the cursor so it doesn't get in the way of pictures (fullscreen) When one event is called by bluetooth, it brings up a msgbox and the user has to click OK. I tried Windows.Forms.Cursor.Show() but it doesn't work.
I'm guessing it's something to do with delegates and events and the form, but the debugger doesn't complain at any point. It just refuses to show the cursor. How can I get my serialport event to show the cursor? And then hide it after?
I have the following code and I can't get the lost focus to work.
Private Sub txtSpeed_KeyDown(ByVal eventSender As System.Object, ByVal eventArgs As System.Windows.Forms.KeyEventArgs) Handles txtSpeed.KeyDown, txtSpeed.LostFocus
I am trying to SendMessage to an app called 'Signal threads' - a test app which sends out a message called TV1_Threads, and listens for a reply. I have shown the values of each variable in the commented areas.
I currently have a simple crystal reports application which generates a crystal report and in the built in viewer provided by VS2005. There is a drop down where you can select options to change the criteria of the report. I wish to convert this app to a windows executable which will take all those select options and generates pdfs based on the crystal report. the executable will be triggered by windows task scheduler...or maybe command line app?
Obviously this will be somewhat of a re-write. What would be the best way to start this as? a crystal report application or a windows application.
I have a basic Windows form with one Crystal Reports form veiwer control on it. When ran on the development machine it displays the report fine. After build and publish the application is now installed on a user PC. I am getting an error that the Crystal Decisions. Windows. Form version 12.0.2000.0 can not be found. All the Crystal dll's are in the install directory but none of them are being installed in the install machines GAC.Am I setting my publish output up wrong, may references wrong, or is the local GAC files the problem. The message is so criptic, it doesnt really point me in the right direction.
I have a MDI form that has a child form that is opened by default when the application loads. I also automatically maximize the child form. Even though I have set ShowIcon to false, the little blank image that indicates that there is no icon appears in the upper left hand corner of the form. Is there a way to get rid of this?
Private WithEvents m_frmLineItems As frmLineItems m_frmLineItems = New frmLineItems(Me) mfrmLineItems.WindowState = FormWindowState.Maximized
I have one tool which we developed on visual studio 2010. there are basically two parts of my project, one is UI part which i wrote in VB and algorithm part which is in C++ on back end. When we compile C++ part it creates a .dll which is used by my front end VB program.
Now my problem is little weird since i am compiling and deploying this tool on windows xp machine but some of the users are using windows 7 64 bit machines and after running the program for about 5-10 minutes, it crashes on windows 7 with following error
Not enough storage is available to process this command and when i view details of that error, i get the following description.
See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.
************** Exception Text ************** System.ComponentModel. ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib
[Code].....
i am completely clue less for this error since this program works fine on xp but doesn't work on windows 7.
I am preparing crystal reports using vb.net 2008 with ms sql server 2005.everything is showing fine.. except that i want my report to be multiple column... I cant do this using "format multiple column" option because the data is not shown in details section. Actually i need to group the data in data.
e.g: i am preparing a warehouse report to know how much quantity of which products are left, products with 0 (zero) value are not displayed..
I want my reports to be as follows: item1 item_quantity item2 item_quantity item3 item_quantity
I'm using VS 2008 to develop a solution which will report on data mostly contained in SQL Express databases, across two servers. It will be used by up to about 10 XP clients. I am unfamiliar with the Reports Applications. Will I need to buy extra licenses to use a Crystal Reports application? Why are they both included in VS? What is the basic difference between them?
How can I connect to a Crystal Reports 4.6 report that connects to SQL Server 2005 as a data source, using Visual Basic?I don't want to specify the connection string in the report. I want to pass the connection from VB. Is there any way to do this?
I am working on Windows Forms Projects.I am creating a report for customers. The report data is pulled from a "CustomerDetails" table.A field in the table is called "CustPhotoName", this holds a string which relates to an image file.
I Currently have a report set up which runs for a single customer by passing in a customer ID. Then using the passed in ID to populate a Dataset with an ImageRow and then a sub report with the image from the dataset.
I am wanting to set up this report where I can pass in an array of customer IDs and produce the reports (1 page per customer with image (if CustPhotoName has value))
