I have tried the search button to no avail. I am attempting to make a feedback form to open on Windows Live Mail. The user clicks the "feedback" item on a menu strip and it opens Windows Live Mail with Process.start("code here blah blah.exe"). What I want to do from this is force open a new message.

I have a Contact page in my resort website asp.net 3.5. I want to write code in VB.net to send my feedback to mail id.I have Name, Email Address, Contact Num and Message in the form. It would connect to the Hotmail server and see if the user/pass combination is correct. If it can log in, it would display a label that the account is valid, if not it would say that the account is not valid.

I would like to create a tabular view of my data in which i would like to show dates as column header and room no as rows header. And room reservation data in that tabular form. I would also like to make date zooming from year, half yearly, month, week to day. Denote the reserved room in some color along with name too.

View 1 RepliesI am wanting to create a logon similar to the Windows Live logon, so in other words. user has frmLogon and is located in Australia. The user enters his/her details and then the program connects to a server in the United States and checks the Username and Password to make sure it is correct if it is correct it allows the user to logon and move to the next stage, if it is wrong it will give him an error message. I am wondering if anyone has a tutorial or source code laying around that I can rip apart and see how it works. I want to put the database on my server and connect to it from my desktop using the logon form.
View 3 RepliesI have an application with a scrolling window of thumbnail images. On XP it works just the way I want it; as the user scrolls the thumbnails go flying by. But in Windows 7 the thumbnails stay put until the user releases the mouse button and the thumbnails jump to the correct position.
I've examined the properties of the control I'm using (I am actually using windows.systems.forms.form set to autoscroll) and there doesn't appear to by anything to activate live scrolling - besides that would likely be inconsisten between XP and Windows 7.

Today I realized upon testing I get the following error:The procedure entry point IstrcmpiI could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.Upon some research I found that maybe I needed to install MDAC 2.8, which i downloaded and installed today, however i still get the same error. I have had my communications and network admins check traffic and connectivity to the smtp server and all is working fine. Yet I still get the error.

Being the noob I am it took me about 6 hours to figure out how xml works and to write some code for what i need to do.
Here is what i came up with:

It opens up a new email message so the user can add to the email message, and then the user clicks send.The code works fine. However there is one small problem. The email that the code opens, is always in Microsoft Outlook. Sometimes the application's user has Outlook Express set up as the default client, but my application always opens the new email message in Microsoft Outlook. (Outlook 2003. In the one user's machine that has Outlook 2007, everything works fine and the email opens up in Outlook Express.)As I searched for a solution, I saw this problem posed many times in various places on the Internet, with no solution (or none that worked). I did try several suggestions which involved creating registry settings and registering some dlls.
