Jul 14, 2009Can I Post a Windows Application that uses Excel for live data calculations? Basically from the Windows app, a user makes a menu selection and which in turn opens an excel file in memory using it for calculations. These files are put together by different groups and formatted for the Windows app to build interfaces based on each file.I also accompany an .mdf file as well. Is all this possible for customers to access and run this with Windows Azure.

Is that a driver that is "expressing" itself like a folder structure?How about when you plug a camera or other device in a usb port and it shows as a G: drive, for instance?I'm guessing the G: drive trick is just a "driver" starting up for the usb port that somehow makes itself seen as a mapped drive.Is the \tsclient thing done the same way? Is there some kind of tsclient.exe that runs to do whatever this does?How can I make my own "pseudo" folder structure?

Jun 9, 2011i am developing an application which automatically sends invoices to clients every month. the invoice should bear a stamp from a taxation body. this signature is composed of values generated(hashed)by the device itself. the invoices are designed using a crystal report. how can i get the values calculated(hashed) from the machine and include them on the invoice before sending or how can i send the invoice to the device to be printed and sent via E-mail. Remember it is not physically printed. it should be automatically sent.

It would connect to the Hotmail server and see if the user/pass combination is correct. If it can log in, it would display a label that the account is valid, if not it would say that the account is not valid.

This would enable users to add preset activities to their calendar and edit those actiivities to reflect the time they've spent on them.A perfect example would be the excellent work from April16 here . Unfortunately, my company will not pay the price April16 is asking for this component. No need to post comments on that...The time recording application already exists but was recording activities in a different manner, which enabled me to use DataGridView with activities and percentage of time spent on them. Getting Live Status From Other Application
Dec 15, 2011With my application i call an external commandline tool that converse iso's to other fileformats. Right now i just call the iso converter and it will run in the background, when you would run the iso converter via commandline you see what it is doing, but in my application it just runs in the background.
Right now it only gives me the status after the isoconverter is done in a textbox, how could i change this so i can see live status? like i would see in the command line tool?

The user enters his/her details and then the program connects to a server in the United States and checks the Username and Password to make sure it is correct if it is correct it allows the user to logon and move to the next stage, if it is wrong it will give him an error message. I am wondering if anyone has a tutorial or source code laying around that I can rip apart and see how it works. Oct 21, 2011I have an application with a scrolling window of thumbnail images. On XP it works just the way I want it; as the user scrolls the thumbnails go flying by. But in Windows 7 the thumbnails stay put until the user releases the mouse button and the thumbnails jump to the correct position.
I've examined the properties of the control I'm using (I am actually using windows.systems.forms.form set to autoscroll) and there doesn't appear to by anything to activate live scrolling - besides that would likely be inconsisten between XP and Windows 7.

Being the noob I am it took me about 6 hours to figure out how xml works and to write some code for what i need to do.
Here is what i came up with:

That code works fine.Now when i add another column to the datagridview called "update size" i want to know how to add the grabbed data from another sub i made to the new column.What would the code be for adding the strings for the new sub into the seconds column? the first was, DataGridView1.Rows.Add(str)" . So what would the second be ?Also another question i have is how do i put an image in an imagecolumn by a web link, not a local picture.

I guess this is a reference issue, but I have added references to WMP libraries (axinterop.wmplib.dll and interop.wmplib.dll). The WMP works on the XP machine, but not when called from my application.I have searched the web now for 5 days and changed references, and reinstalled the media player on the XP machine, but nothing works.
Form Controls Changes From The Windows 7 Format To Older Formats On Runtime While Running .net Windows Application
May 15, 2012I have seen this happen before but am not sure how I resolved it in the past. On runtime the controls of my form change from the windows 7/vista format to an older version format as shown in the attached image.
