I have a WinForms group box that needs to be sized programmatically. Everything else is working well but I am having trouble with the below line of code because as the form is re-sized larger the group box grows over the buttons that are underneath. I am looking for a way in code so that the group box grows with the form, but no so large that it grows over the button underneath it.

I am trying to load bulk images and trying to put them as a slideshow and it's working fine. Now I would like to have some effects like flip out,ease out effect and fade effect on those images when changing them without using any user control as I would like to do with the existing picturebox.Is it possible to do so?
If so can anyone point me to some resources.As I have done googling and found some useful links and I am placing here that might helpful to someone.And all these have use seperate usercontrols to do, and I am not looking into that.[URL]..

View 3 RepliesI want to select a button("Exit") on the ToolStrip after pressing a button ("ButtonFocus To Exit") outside the toolstrip. I used ExitToolStripButton.Select() on ButtonFocusToExit.Click but which seems like its selecting the button ("Exit") but when i pressed enter it never execute the code in "ExitToolStripButton_Click" .
So the button is still not active. Can anyone have fix to it?
I've got a basic VB.net 2.0 application together in VisualStudio 2005. Within a form, I've tied [enter] in several text boxes to a button. What I'd like to do is "press" the button from getField_KeyDown() to give the user a visual indication of what's happening.With the code below, the button click work is done but the button's look doesn't change and the user is left without feedback.

Ok so i have an jpg image of around 8.10mbs at around 13424 x 11344 pixels, i need to load the whole image in to a scrolling picturebox, is they anyway to do this without using so much memory for example like what google maps does n cuts the image down and some how stitches it all back to gether?
View 1 RepliesI have a simple code that visits web pages. It's done in VB2010 & it's just a simple form with a web browser control built in. After leaving it on for a few hours, it goes from using about 50mb of RAM to 700mb. All it's doing is visiting 1-web page per 2 minutes from a txt list of url's.
What can I do to flush/reset this un-needed RAM usage without re-starting the program itself?
I have a Form which has several questions - each question is answered (bythe user) by choosing between 2 options - each option represented by a Radio Button. I have six questions and hence 12 radio buttons on my page but all of them seem to belong to the same group - i.e., the user can select only one of the 12 buttons whereas I want the user to be able to select one from every pair of radio buttons.

I seem to be having trouble getting group boxes to appear when I click a radio button.
For example:
If radiobutton1.Checked Then
Groupbox1.Visible = True
Groupbox2.Visible = False
Groupbox3.Visible = False
Groupbox4.Visible = False
End If
This indeed brings up the first radio button however I have other groupboxes underneath which with the same code will not appear when the radio button is checked.
Eg:
If radiobutton2.Checked Then
Groupbox2.Visible = True
Groupbox1.Visible = False
Groupbox3.Visible = False
Groupbox4.Visible = False
End If
The second groupbox does not appear and is directly behind the first groupbox.
The .Top code doesn't seem to be working either.

This occurs when I do pretty much anything in the text editor, and can be replicated by simply adding blank lines to a function, and then deleting them. Or pasting some code. Or... lotsa stuff.
SP1 installed I had DevExpress' refactor/coderush, components, and codeit.right installed, but have removed all 3 of them. (I had installed the latest version of Refactor Pro! (9.3.4), perhaps the day before)
I have tried a VS.NET Repair. There is a kb that referenced some cpu destroying with vb, but it was included in SP1

I have a WinForms application (VS 2008, .NET 3.5) that has a form with two different group boxes, and inside of each group box are different sets of radio buttons. When I run the application, the first group box automatically has the first radio button in it already selected, and the second group box does not have a radio button selected by default.
I have looked through all the properties of the radio buttons and the group boxes, and cannot figure out what the difference is between the two.I would like both group boxes to have all radio buttons unselected when the form is first opened.Also, I looked through the Designer.vb file for the form, and could not find anything unusual going on in there either.

I have a form with many buttons on it and I would like to loop through all the controls in a group control and find out which button is clicked.
I plan to use the click event of the button and I know it's easy to create a click event procedure for all of the buttons but would like to avoid that.
The group control is called GroupFilterButtons.
I need to have 4 text boxes and three command buttons. One button should be used for exiting the program, one button should be used for clearing all of the text boxes, and the last button should be used for any calculations/conversions. You should also have a radio button group for the user to choose entry temperature type.
One text box should be used for the entry of an initial temperature. The radio button group will then allow the user to select the entry temperature. When the button is clicked for conversion, the other three text boxes will populate with answers to the conversion. and if I enter 37 degrees Fahrenheit, the Fahrenheit text box should read 37 after the conversion.)
I want to find the "select" query in the code behind of a button in a winform LogOn form.I have the source code of one big solution which includes 15 projects. There's 1 project with all the UI that I can run and start my debugging. During the debug process, I click log on button there's a line of code where I want to step through which it's calling a diffrent project in the same solution to validate the username and password. But it doesn't allow me to step into that project to validate the data. It just goes right through it and the username and password pass validation right after that line of code.

If the Group Name exists for the Current User, I want that group name to be displayed in a drop down list. I'm writing a program that print images in full page. I.E, I print image on A4 paper, landscape. When I print an image without rotating it (the image IS landscape), the image uses all the space of the page, and is not cropped. it is OK. The print job is about 1.5 Mb. When I print an image WITH rotating it (the image IS PORTRAIT ), the image uses all the space of the page, and is not cropped. it is OK. The print job is about 28 Mb. The images are about 2000x3000 pixels, and stored in JPEG files (about 2.5 Mb each). I suppose that the 28 Mb should be the "uncompressed" size of the picture, and 1.5Mb, the compressed size...
By the way, When I look at the task manager, my application memory usage grows by job size, which seems to be OK. It grows either 1,5 Mb if no rotation is occured, and 25-30Mb when rotation occured.
Since I can print hundreds of image at once, my print queue will grow abnormaly if I need to rotate all
