Wired <-> Wireless Network Communication - Grab A List Of All Networked Computers?

Mar 28, 2010

My issue, however, is connecting to the wireless laptops as well.

[code...]

I need to grab a list of all networked computers, and I definitely include systems on the wireless

network in that list. I'm just not sure how to approach this. Being able to enumerate through a

'tree' of all networks and systems available would be a major plus.

Java - Communication Between Computer And Mobile Using Bluetooth

Feb 6, 2012

I am trying to create a client server application. Server side is vb.net program which runs in my computer and listens for commands. Client side is J2ME application which is in my mobile that will send commands.

I have a Bluetooth dongle for my computer and I am going to use Bluetooth as the medium. Wifi is not supported by my mobile.

I know basics of VB.Net(using VB2010). And I have Oracle's J2ME SDK installed in my computer and I have created small(simple applications) applications using it.

So, I have searched in Google. But most of the results are confusing. Today I found Wireless Communication Library .NET Edition. But documentation is very poor. So I don't know in between things, that is connection establishment. But I can code how to execute when each command is received at both sides.

Test Telnet Communication On Remote Computer Using .net?

Feb 2, 2012

I have a central server and I need to write a bit of vb.net which will see if I can telnet to a specified server on a specified port.Is there anyway this can be done in VB.net? I thought about sending command prompts to the remote server to execute telnet, then output the logs of netsh and read those and send the information back to the central server for review.

Its a very messy way of doing it, so I was just wondering if there was an easier way

C# - Limit Wifi Access Using .net Application?

Aug 30, 2009

Currently following is the setup of my wifi connection.

Laptop 1 ------> Wifi Router <------
Laptop 2

There are about 5 laptops which connect to the wifi router to access internet. Network is password protected so anyone with a valid network key can connect and access internet.

I am planning to develop a local website which will be having a list of username and passwords. I will also remove the password of the wifi network so that anyone can connect.

If a connected system tries to access a web page in the internet then redirect them to a Login page (in the local website) and ask them to login. Once successfully logged i,n the mac id should be added to "Allow" list and monitoring starts. Internet should not be available for those who don't have a valid username and password.

I was thinking about developing the application to block/allow internet access though a vb.net/c# application.

I am okay with the website part. What I would like to know is

How I can block/allow internet access through the .net application. Is it possible in .net or should I be going for an unmanaged code development? If it is possible where is the best place to start? I have experience in winforms development but not much of network programming. Will there be any change in my current wifi setup? May be a new webserver/proxy server which will host the website and the windows application?

Finding Available Wireless And Lan Connections?

Oct 14, 2010

i'm using Visual Basic 2008 - Office 2007 - addin for ppt.

ok i'm going to delete the other thread. i'm going to rephrase and try to explain as clearly as possible.

I need to find a code that (when i click the "Search" Button) will start searching for all available lan and wireless connections.

All the available selections will be shown in a List Box provided.

Once i find one i want to use, i can stop the search (by pressing another button "Stop" in this case) or just straight away click the one i want and press another button ("Select" in this case) and if it needs a password or WEP then it will display or it will just connect without asking.

I would just like you to help me start up.How do I create a wireless network ENTIRELY THROUGH VB during the initial setup of the application?
