Jul 31, 2008I've got 2 seperated programs.
One is a program where you can select a product and select how many of them you want. Then the total price wil be displayedin a label. And the list of selected products will be saved in a .txt file.
The second program is an Edit program. The user can edit his selected products. Here he can change the total of a product.So if he had selected 1, he can change it to three or something. When the user clicks the button Save. The changes will besaved in the same .txt file and the total price will also be changed and displayed in program one.
Program one is compleet.Program two has problems and here i need your help:- the user can't make a change in the numbers, seems that the textbox is read-only or something. How to solve?- Then when i click save, the changed must be saved in the .txt ( i can't test this yet because no changes can't be made)- the total new price must be showed in program 1 (i think i programmed this well, but can you take a look)

As F# programming is not suitable for GUI, but GUI is necessary for my current programming.I want to know how I can rewrite the above code in VB.NET.For example, I have a float32 array, (I dont know what data type in VB.NET is equivalent to float32 array in F#) of (1.0, 2.0, 3.0); I want to serialize it using DataContractSerializer, then read it back so I can still get the same float32 array.

Mar 22, 2010I'm having difficulty figuring out how to run different programs with my VB program. Using Excel and other MS office programs is easy enough since I just add in the relevant COMs, but I can't for the life of me find out how to run other programs. I promise I spent many hours searching before bothering you kind folks here! I'd think this is a common issue so maybe I haven't been searching for the right thing.how to write code that will control and read data from applications.I know you can do "Process.Start" to open any application, and it looks like there are ways to determine the controls available on an open application, but I can't figure out how to do it. Is this possible? Or do I have to import a .dll file for every program I want to control? Or are both possible?

VS 2008 : Control App Via Internet?
Sep 21, 2009I have a app that sends me a text message to my cell when my pc starts up. i want to be able to send that app a "packet" or "signal" via the internet to control somesort of action like run a program or pop up a pre defined message or even shut the pc down. im not sure how to send packets or recieve them if its even possible, i know there will be some port forwarding needed on my routers end and i can do that part.

Apr 25, 2012i wrote some code to control an ip device, i made in windows forms application , silverlight and asp.net, they all work on the local network , but won't work from internet web server, i have the router forwarding to local device ip and port,
i get this error:
