Access A Txt File - Retrieve Individually To Make Further Calculations?

I am trying to access a txt flie in my project. This file contains many records that I wish to retrieve individually to make further calculations with.My first problem is how to connect to the file in my project, I have no clue howw to do this, have tried many different ways, but still no success.I also wist to have a textbox that I can type the (airport name) so that the streamreader will search for that record, similar to a google type search.

I made an application that writes to a text file in csv format, and on another tab, there is a listbox where the user can click the "View Report" button and it will display the information from the text file in a list box. Right now, I am really pleased with it because I was able to use "split" to get all of the separated values on there own individual lines.Now I am wondering, is there a way that I can display one entry at a time in the list box, and then maybe implement "previous entry" and "next entry" buttons so that the user doesn't have to scroll down through the entries to view them, they can just hit next entry and it will go to the next line in the csv text file and display the information from there? I have tried doing it a few different ways, here is what I have so far for the "View Current Report" button:

I have a datagridview which as several rows read from an access database which I can not alter. Column 4 of each row shows the date of the last service call. I would like to have a calculated column showing the difference in days between the date in Row1 and the date in row 2, the date in row 2 and the date row 3 etc.. I have exported the datagridview to excel and have set the calculated column it works ok, but is is possible to do this from within VB datagridview

I have a unbound datagridview which i use to enter data. I would like to make calculations using individual cell data as follows:-
Datagridview1.rows(0).cells(1).value = datagridview1.rows(1).cells(1).value + datagridview1.rows(1).cells(2).value
This works fine but if im using lots of cells it can be quite confusing .I was wondering if there was a way that i can give a cell a unique name so i can be easy for me to identify. Using the above example it could read TOTAL = JAN TOTAL + FEB TOTAL

I have a database that dynamically loads from Access into a datagridview. I have to enter data manually into one column in this datagridview. I need to be able to perform calculations to this data, for example I need to sum the data in this column, sqaure it and substract it from individual sqaures of the data in the cells. I should be able to sum it sum(22,33,44,53,67,23)^2-sum(22^2,33^2,...23^2). The number of columns keep changing depending on the database I choose to load, so I need to code this dynamically too. I am not really a VB person. I did the same in excel using Visual Basic and I am trying to do it in this Visual Basic environment.I built a tool in excel(VBA) that do some statistical calculations and data analysis and I am trying to build the same in Visual Basic.

I haven't used VB in 2 years and have forgetten way too much, but I still understand quite a bit. I just can't synthesize it.
Anyways, here is what I am struggling to do.
I have a CSV file as formatted in the screenshot at this link:[URL]
Number of rows can change but the number of columns won't.
I need to:
1:read in a csv file
2:take the second column save the first and last number as a variables for computations (these numbers will be the smallest and largest numbers, respectively if that makes it easier to program)
3:put into the first column of a new array the following computations based on the 2nd column from the csv file computation=((array value-first number)/(last number-first number)*100)
4:add to first column the same computations again but +100 i.e. if the first row had a cell that had computed to 1 then the next number would be 101
5:add to first column again the same computations again but with an addition +100 (+200 total) this should cause the column to have numbers between 0 and 300
6:write column 3 of array to 2nd column of the new array
7:write column 4 of array to the end of 2nd column of the new array
8:write column 5 of array to the end of 2nd column of the new array
9:delete excess array space
10:write new array to txt file with delimiter of " " (a tab) with the same name as the previous file
I have been looking at this for 6 hours now and although I figured out how to read in a csv file, I was not able to figure out how to call up the individual values for computations.
I won't complain if you give me code but what I really want is an understanding of what I need to do to accomplish this.

I found a great way to get the equations of calculations from application to Microsoft word file with MimeTex here-[URL]
But unfortunelly the code is only for Microsoft Visual Studio Solution under the Eq2ImgWinForms folder, but I use on my application Visual Basic language (Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition).
how could I use the same thing on my application with Visual Basic?

I am using Streamreader to read a text file containing data such as the following:
IN;SC;PU;PU;SP1;LT;VS10
IN;SC;PU;PU;SP1;LT;VS10
PW5;PU4179,27448;PD4179,29951;PD3244,29951;PD3244,30286;PD5494,30286;PD5494,29951;PD4555,29951;PD4555,27448;PD4179,27448;
The final goal is to use the numbers next to the PU and PD characters to perform specific calculations.
Essentially, I think the code needs to do the following:
1. Read each block of characters ending in a ";"
2. If the block commences with anything other than PU or PD, discard it
3. Extract the numbers in such a way that calculations can be performed. The following is an example:

Essentially, there will be hundreds of these rows and I will need to sum up the deltas so that a specific formula can be applied.
I have tried doing this a number of ways but each seem very inefficient (using text boxes to store/swap data and creating additinal text files are 2 methods I have tried) and so I'm looking for some direction.

Im trying to work out how to do a project called pig latin in vb.net 2003... so far I've gotten it to work for a single word. If there are spaces it still acts like there is only one word with the rules (ex: monkey stuff = onkey stuffmay) I know that i have to figure a way to seperate the string up if there is a space and do the rules for pig latin for each word and then make it show up in a message box but I'm stuck... as soon as i can get it to split I have to calculate the number of words starting with a variable and percent of said words and so on which shouldnt be hard with an If Then statement

I did some research (mainly in the Drawing namespace) about animated GIF files and I know you can see how many frames are in the specified GIF using the GetFrameCount method, however how I can access each frame directly/loop through them one by one. This is my first time trying anything like this and I can't seem to find the right methods, classes or information. I'm not even sure if this is possible using the .NET framework.

In asp.net 3.5, I am using a login control which has an id. When i set the id's font to bold, it sets all the fields to bold. for eg., the login control has "Username", "Password" & "Remember Me" and i want to set only the username & password fields bold and leave the remember field to normal.

I have defined 5 variables T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 As Double and set them all = 0. On a form I have a enter information button. Each time the button is pressed I want to assign a different variable, to a text box input. For instance, If I enter 1 that will become T1, and then if I enter 2 and press the button again, that value becomes T2.
I have tried
If T1 = 0 then
T1 = textbox.text
End if
If T1<>0 And T2 = 0 then
T2 = textbox.text
End if
I have tried to use 'else' statements and all kinds of things like that to no avail. I can get the first two variables correctly assigned but three is impossible with my current understanding. Is there a way to do this, or do I need 5 buttons, so that I can control which variable is assigned? To be correct my intent is to create an observation with three variables each time the button is pressed.
For example, the first button press will result in three variables being assigned a value other than 0; they are T1, B1, and R1. I have just begun to understand the concept of arrays and am wondering if that may be the way to go in this situation. I was just going at this in a newbie way I'm sure and trying to handle each variable type individually, and figure out all the T* variables and move onto the B* variables.

I have 42 RichTextBoxes (RTBs) and I would like to add my ContextMenuStrip to each of them (which I have already done), but the problem I am having is when the application is running and the ContextMenuItem "Copy" for example is clicked, I can only make it copy the context of one of the RTBs, when I would like it to copy the contents of any individual one. So as I mentioned, I have 42 RTBs, but I am having trouble getting the contents of the focused RTB. The below code is just copying the 1 RTB and when I Copy on another RTB, it copies the contents of RTB1.
I originally started out with like so, but is just for the one RTB and when I add more than one in the code below it's even more of a disaster..

The book name and chapter number can be obtained from the beginning of each chapter and each verse within each chapter is already numbered and on a separate line in the file.
