Can I do it in the footer maybe? Would that be the best way? Bind the footer to a datatable and throw some blank rows in there?

rptRepeater.DataSource = SomeFunction(SomeVariable)
rptRepeater.DataBind()
In the html I have a basic repeater layout and am using the below code to get the Properties of each object returned.

My question is, would there ever be a case that it would execute the Function more than once?

Dec 1, 2009I want to evaluate the current DataItem being bound to a repeater and remove it from being added if my condition meets. I would have thought that setting e.Item.DataItem to Nothing would work, but it does not. Any ideas how to not add a DataItem to the repeater when a certain condition meets?

Sep 1, 2011Can anyone tell me why "Rows cannot be programmatically added to the DataGridView's rows collection when the control is data-bound." I keep getting an error "Invalid Operation Exception was Unhandled" error. All I am attempting to do is allow the user to select products from a list(or a second datagridview) and have it added to the datagridview so they do not have to type in every cell since the other cells are not visible because they do not purtain to their needs. Plus they will be able to save all items at the same time.

Asp.net - UpdatePanel Inside A Repeater - Update All Rows
Apr 15, 2011I'm trying to speed up my Repeater so that not as much HTML has to be resent via the AJAX UpdatePanel on each call.
So here's what I have (a very much simplified version):

So, when I click 'btnSaveAndCompleteLastStep' I want all the UpdatePanel in 'rptContactSteps' to update. Having the UpdatePanel inside the ItemTemplate should help prevent having to re-load the html/text that populates the Eval("script") & Eval("notes"), since the value of these variables could be very large and over a 3G connection this could be very costly (in time & money).
I though by adding the async trigger it'd work as I have used this type of trigger before, but not when inside the Repeater. Currently the UpdatePanels aren't getting updated at all, except from the one from which the button was pressed.

Jan 15, 2012following is the code at button event which copy data from one DGV (dgvAccesList) to another DGV (dgvProbReport) and its working properly. Its paste data to 3rd and 4th column of destination DGV.But the problem is that, if at source DGV first column and second column have data..lets say up to 2 rows..then its copied data starting from 3rd row..for the 3rd and 4th column..which is incorrect..its should be always start with first row of third and fourth column.[code]

Drag And Drop Rows Bound Datagridview?
Dec 29, 2010I am trying to develop a scheduler for my workplace for which I am using a datagridview. The data displayed in the datagridview is bound to a SQL server database.
I need to be able to drag and drop rows so that the any job with a high priority and a nearer deadline can just be dragged from anywhere in the grid and dropped to the topmost point in the grid. I don't mind using two buttons (up and down) to do it either. But I am not able to figure out a way to do it.

Oct 28, 2011This post is similar to one I have posted before about a dropdown filtering results in a gridview. Well now I need this dropdown to attach itself to a repeater that will filter results into a gridview. I have tried rptLetters.DataBind() in the code behind of the dropdown list, but that doesn't seem to be changing any of the letters at the top of the page when I click on different items in the dropdown list.The screenshot doesn't show enough of the products, but in this case it skips from G to L, and in the repeater the letters between G and L are still shown. I need to be able to get that repeater to recognize the letters that start each of the products associated with the company chosen.

However, if a field is blank (in this case - a field called "Actual Date" which is meant to be blank for this record), the ListView will stop populating at that point.I thought this may have been the 'CausesValidation' property of the ListView but that doesn't seem to change the behaviour.Is this an inherent feature of the ListView - if so it seems daft - or is there a property I need to change or an override that I need to code?
