Application Which Can Create/update/delete/search Records Using Access Database?
Apr 24, 2010i have a simple application which can create/update/delete/search records using Access database. If i add a record, save it, then close the application and run it again and search for that record, it appears. However, when i write some code to my application, nothing to do with the search function, and i run the application the record is not found. For example i added a button to clear the textfields, and when i ran the application the records i have added earlier were not found.

It has 3 fields Name, Dept and Designation. So is it possible to do these task against a Acecss 2007 database
-Delete table
-Compact database (to clear out table)
-then run query to remake table

Jun 20, 2011If I modify a program of mine in some parts, adding also some settings in My.Settings and changing version, then I have to compile and create a new installer with the dear old InnoSetup.
Then I install the program, I go to see the settings ... and I see that them are the default settings stored in the MyProgram.exe.config file shipped with the new installer.
But is absolutely easy that a user would have changed the settings in a previous version (if existing) of the program.
So now the question is: during the new installation is there some clean and tested method to retrieve and update the settings set by users in any previous version of a program?

Mar 29, 2011On my add button i still have to add codes that disables my navigation buttons and and my search button... and add codes that will enable them in save button... im still new thats why my codes are just simple if, else if, else conditions that just manipulates enable, visible, text, properties..also if i search my data will be search but my textboxes only shows the searched data.. i still have to add button that will only be visible if the program finds a data... and this button function is to remove the filter..rather than disabling some functions i want a messagebox to prompt the user that this functions arent functionable...

Aug 15, 2011How to insert, search and delete a picture in vb.net and Microsoft access 2007? A picture that will be store in access is inserted in a form or a picture box. But it seems I have the wrong codes.. and when I click the insert button, it doesn't store in the access, and when I click the search button, nothing appear in the picture box.

Delete A User In A Mysql Server Based On Search Results?
Sep 8, 2011I have a datagrid control with a list of names that it retrieves from a MySql database. I can search through them until i have one result. I want to be able to Display a groupbox control when the number of results is equal to 1. Also, in the groupbox i have a button that when clicked will delete this user from the server and their information from the mysql table called "employee". when the user is deleted i'll display a confirmation message in a messagebox, and reload the table with the updated list. so far the only two problems i have are showing the groupbox when the results are equal to 1 and deleting the user from the sql server based on the name of the search result
