I've added reference to Flash object. Then dragged AxMacromediaFlash to form. [renamed Flash1]. Even after setting Flash1.Movie="file.swf".
it doesn't start playing ! I tried, loadMovie,Play,MovieData etc etc.. nothing works. There's no error, no warning, nothing. That Flash object remains plain white. am not using try catch too. I'm on Vista Home Premium 32bit, Flash player 10, Flash ActiveX version 10. Tried re-installing player, activeX. its just not working! : any known issues am ignoring here? and same file works fine if I drag it in IE. and if I check Flash1's state, it shows playing.
After pressing a button Private Sub btn1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles btn1.Click
[Code]...
It works, just that there is any "white flash" when the appearance of the form .... I also tried on another computer (both powerful processor and graphics) ... It 'can be improved?
Hi, I'm just beginning to teach myself how to do OOP in VB 2008 Express. I have a quick question after seeing a video online. Is a VB variable the equivalent of an 'instance' in Flash and a VB object like a 'symbol' in Flash? Is this what it means by a variable being a reference or pointer to an object and not the object itself?
must stop the user from proceeding if the textbox is null,if the textbox has only spaces in it.i tried . trim but that doesnot work, still spaces are excapted as valid characters.
I am working on a Flash training video. I would like at the end of the video for a message to pop up with a dynamic confirmation code. I have the code for the confirmation code, but am having trouble creating something either at the end of the flash video or within the aspx page to trigger this message.
how do we add a shockwave flash object to visual basic 2005 express edition without the message saying: Failed to import the active-x control. Make sure it is properly registered.
I am currently trying to get a WebBrowser object not to download flash and images. This is just to make a lightweight browser. I know this can be done within the IE settings, but i would prefer it on an application level.
Public Class Form1 Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click WebBrowser1.Navigate(New Uri("http:google.co.uk")) End Sub End Class
I have found some C# code, but i dont know how to change it to VB.Net and the convertors make some bugs, which i do not know how to fix
i have added the shockwave flash object into my tool box from COM COMPONENTS, but when i add the shockwave flash object to my form so it gives and error. the error is "Failed to import the Activex Control. ensure that it is properly registered"
I have used VB6 to create controls for robotic devices via serial/usb ports... and I already figured out the serial port.I create a graphic gauge for showing data by making a shockwave flash file for example: analog1.swf I then load and use the movie by setting the frame number. In short, 100 frames, 60% would be frame 60, etc. It looks like an analog gauge, makes the program look great. In VB6 I had the file specified as app.path & "/analog1.swf" then when I built the file I would click on the swf file when asked if there was anything else I needed to include... and it would be included in the build. I figured out most of the issues; how to include a shockwave flash object and I found a replacement for app.path... after experimenting. I found that Application.StartupPath() pointed to the DEBUG folder.so if I place the analog1. swf file in the DEBUG folder, I could do something like...[code[ when I tried to build the file in VB.NET, the SWF file wasn't in the publish/SWF1 folder I made. (I selected install from CD so everything should go into one folder as I understand it.) This means that if I distributed the install files... the person would not see the graphic, just a white box where it should be.
I read some more here on the forum... and I found out that I could do the following to add a resource...Click - Project on the toolbar.Click - Add Existing File from the drop down menu.Pick (analog1.swf) from someplace on my hard drive.Okay that got it into the program resources and I presume VB.NET will make a copy in some folder someplace... but I'm not seeing it right now. (Possibly because of the next issue...)How do I specify it in the code? if I create a shockwave object and call it "flash" what goes here. And is there anything special I need to do so that when I click BUILD and/or PUBLISH so it actually includes the SWF file in the finished product so the person installing it sees a gauge instead of a white box?
I am having trouble getting the shockwave flash object to show up in the COM components i have installed the adobe flash player and adobe shockwave flash but the shockwave flash object is still not there.
Well I am trying to make a exe that shows a swf game(Club Penguin). When ever I run the exe and login to the swf game, A Internet Explorer Window pops up and its title has some javascript. After a few minutes the window closes and I get an error:Internet Explorer cannot download.Unspecified error. After this the game runs fine, But if I go to a room or something in the game, It does the same as above. (You might need to play Club Penguin in a Visual Basic Program to see what I mean.)
Guys, this is my first day at the forum, and my second thread. Can someone explain me how can i make an axshockwaveflashobject2 to copy what happens at axshockwaveflashobject1 like a picture or video. I have a tabed trainer and i want to see my stats in game at the second tab. i have the hack menu on a toolstrip, but i have at the tab 2 flash1.get variables to textboxes, but i can't see what's happening at the flash1,and i may lose the level by falling in the sea. The code should make something like a mirror from flash1 to flash2 at the other tab.
I need to be able to add elements to a copy of mylist.testlist without modifying the global mylist object. (Which seems to be happening via the below code.)When I am working on x, which should be a totally separate object, mylist is getting modified as well. How can I fix this? I have worked with lists extensively and never seen this behavior before. I have tested and reproduced the problem in .NET 3.5 and .NET 4.0 on Win 7 Pro 32bit.
Source Code:
Public Class Form1 Public mylist As New test Sub Main()
Good day all,A Flash movie that plays fine when opened in a web browser is playing slowly and choppily in my VB 2005 WinForm application on the same machine.
I have a class that has a property that I declare like this:
VB.NET Private _DirectoryList As List(Of FileDirectoryInfo) ''' <summary> ''' Array of directories. ''' </summary> ''' <value>Object</value> ''' <returns>Directory array list</returns> ''' <remarks>N/A</remarks> Public Property Directory As List(Of FileDirectoryInfo) Get Return _DirectoryList End Get Set(ByVal value As List(Of FileDirectoryInfo)) _DirectoryList = value End Set End Property
I need to modify a button so that I can add a flash property which will flash the backcolor red.Along the lines of RedLightButton.Flash = true.I have the following
Public Class RedLightButton Inherits Button Private WithEvents FlashTimer As New Timer Private isFlashing As Boolean = False Public Sub New(ByVal ButtonText As String)
How can this be so difficult and why? Returning simple XML with no Name Spaces and an XML decaration. Creating the XML using XML Writer is easily done and if I output it to a file then great. How on earth can you return the contents via WCF. Using an XML Element is no good as you loose the XML declaration and using a string is no good as the output is wrapped up in a <string> element. Can't return an XML Document as it can't be serialised.I know that there are many posts on this site, but none answer the question. I am using VB.NET (boy I wish I had the time to learn C#) and I cannot get the Data Contract to work either even using IXmlSerializer. An example of the output I need to send back via WCF
Protected Sub btnAdd_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnAdd.Click Dim li1 As ListItem Dim addList As New List(Of ListItem)
[code]....
Updates are happening on the load of a dropdownbox This has something to do with autopostbacks and the page load I think, can someone please help When I click the add button even if I have selected an item in the listbox, it will always return an error message. I don't think the listbox changedselected item is firing.
I'm having troubles with terminating an application. When I close the main form everything disappears but the process remains active. I think I know the cause, a certain activeX component will not release properly. As soon as I create one, I can't close normally...
dim someActiveXcomponent = new X() ... <formClosing> someActiveXcomponent = nothing GC.Collect() GC.WaitForPendingFinalizers ' here it hangs
Probably a bug in that component, but the problem is that I don't have much of a choice, I'll have to use that component for now.
Calling System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ReleaseComO bject( myObject ) will kill the reference and now the application closes properly.
I've got my code to delete rows out of the database when the user clicks on the Delete button in my GridView, but the GridView isn't updating to reflect the new data changes.
EDIT 1:Did some stepping through the code and found that e.CommandArgument is not getting a value in grdQuestions_RowCommand
EDIT 1 (Revised):The fact that e.CommandArgument wasn't getting a value was my mistake. I'd changed the way it's value was being assigned without removing the previous method. The code runs through grdQuestions_RowCommand and then goes into grdQuestions_RowDeleting and then executes GetModuleData.I have a feeling that to view changes to the grid, a PostBack might be required, but I've removed all DataBinding to an If Not IsPostBack Then block because the alternative caused problems with the DropDownList whose selection is used as a reference to populate the grid (ddlModules selected the Module whose Questions will display in the grid).
I'm having this problem with a networked app in vb.net. If the program exits normally the port closes fine, however, if it crashes sometimes it remains open and I am unable to close it. The next time I run the program it is unable to open the port because it is already in use. Here's the exception: 10048: Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted on how I can reclaim this port, or how I can close it? I tried using the reuse address socket option
