I'm trying to create a Software Sales calculator. My issue is not being able to have the lblPackageA3 to display the number as FormatCurrency after having the txtPackageA being multiplied by $99.Also need to figure out how to apply discounts depending on the number of sales IE 10-19 = 20% off

I am trying to keep track of the total number of discounts given (whole numbers) I keep getting .75 after the first discount, and it adds .75 for every trans action after that. I have tried to pick it apart but I just don't see it. You can follow by tracking the comments that relate to the summary. I know that is an Integer but the book has it declared as a decimal so I went with it.

i have a database shown on VB 2008 showing music information. i am trying to show the track with the greatest number of sales however it is only displaying the current information on the screen (i am showing the access database in multiple text boxes) rather than searching the database.

I need my program to output and input a customer ID and sales amount multiple times. I need it to display both outputs, customer ID and sales amount, on mulltiple lines. It also will need to accumulate the sales amount and then display the total sales. it should look something like that.[code...]
I think that I was supposed to use a messagebox but wrote the program a different way. the form.vb was already locked, but I added two text boxs. Not sure if I did this right because I need to enter multiple sales for one customer ID.[code...]

I have read a text file into a textbox. The text looks like this (small snippet):

What I want to do is to only display certain lines - this depends on the N number shown above.
E.G. I want the text box the display line N5000 upto N6000.

I have a datagridview created for my windows app in 2005 and I'm not sure how to get it to grow and shrink, depending on the number of rows that are displayed. The form contains several filters for the user to use in order to get their desired recordset displayed in the grid and therefore, the size of the grid will be constantly changing. How is this usually handled?

I have a list of 100 assets that are pulled from AS400 and shown on a gridview alongside a dropdown box with 6 possible status and a textbox.
If the user selects a status other than "Found" (whether it's "Not Found", "Scrapped", "Sold", "Transferred","Other"), the user cannot leave the textbox empty. They must insert a comment into the textbox. Once the user is done he clicks "Save" and if, let's say, the status is "Sold" and the textbox is empty for all assets then a Message Box pops up saying "Please fill the textbox".
The problem is, the message box pops up 100 times (or once for every asset that has the error).
1) What can I do so that the message box only appears once even when 100 assets have the error?
2) Also, when the message box appears and I click "OK" the information the user had filled up to that point gets erased.

I have a program where I want my picture box to change depending on what number comes up in a textbox. Lets just say, my picturebox is called PictureBox1. I'd imagine I'd use an IF statement followed by the path type in to change the picture. My question is how do I display a new picture in the picturebox? Whats the code used?

I am trying to design a report where one filed can be multiple lines and the other related field should be located below (See attached)
address may be 1 one or more lines, city state zip should be located just below.
I already have the field set to can grow, however the spacing is the issue. How do I make the spacing adjust at runtime depending on the number of lines in the field. I can space it to say 3 lines, but if the address filed is only 1 line it leaves a 3 line gap.

the problem with this code is that it only inserts the serial number of the LAST checked checkbox and the number of entries of it depends on the number of checked checkbox for example ... if I checked the rows with the serialnumber 123 and 55652341, first the row with the serial number 123 then second 55652341, only 55652341 appears in the database and it is entered twice(twice because two checkboxes are checked)

The project is suppose to total the 8 commissions (in the array) I see the coding but when I try to put in a label at the bottom of the txtReport I get an error now I have deleted the box and am confused as to what my next step should be. Do I create a label box in the txtReport. I am so close to being finished.
The item "objDebugWindowsApplication1.Form1.resources" was specified more than once in the "Resources" parameter. Duplicate items are not supported by the "Resources" parameter.

I am having some trouble with my program that I am doing. I am supposed to code the application so that it creates a report which I have done. Now the problem that I am having is I have to use an accumulator for the total sales amount in the access file. I'm working on a visual basic application( w/ visual studio 2010) that calculates ticket sales. This one is been really challenging since i'm a newbie when it comes to visual basic.I'm i'm having trouble getting the calculate button to Here are the instruction to get the costs from the functions and use them to calculate the total.
1.)User selects whether to purchase season tickets or single-game tickets
2.) User enters the number of tickets needed and the type of seats based on whether they selected season single-game tickets.
3.) User clicks the Compute Ticket Cost Button to display final cost
4.) User clicks the Clear Form button to clear the response
I'm stuck on the calculating button. I just need to be able to capture the cost from the button and then use the button to compute it.

I have just finished college and I am awaiting my exam date. I have created some desktop applications for my portfolio, but now I want to create a Point of Sales (POS) system to add to the list.I notice in supermarkets and various shops that POS systems use touch screen monitors to interact with the program.My first question is, do I need to use different code or controls in my applications so they can be used with touch screen monitors.I have created an application for hotels for booking rooms (not for a client, just as a demo project), but if there is anyone out there who could give me some pointers on how to create the POS system.I will be doing some research and I will start designing some controls over the next few days. I have a table with these columns:
IDsales, salesDate, salesmanID, itemDesc
I need an SQL querry to select all the sales from a certain date, with the summed sales grouped by salesmanID. The problem with the querry is that the data in the salesDate field is in a long format (with dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:sss) and I dont know how to set the querry to disregard the "time" info, and take in account the "date" part only.

I have a project that you enter someone's name, home town and initials saves it to an array which later is produce into a pie chart.
