This should be a fairly simple one. I am creating a dataset which will contain a description field which I would like to sort by. The reason I want to sort the dataadapter and not in my SQL is that I am already ordering by the results that have a particular value.My SQL looks like this:
SELECT pif_desc, pif_fund, psf_end, (CASE WHEN SUM(pmi_units) IS Null THEN 0 ELSE SUM(pmi_units) END) As fundunits
FROM tbl_mem INNER JOIN tbl_sfunds[code]....
I want to sort the datarows is ds.tables(0) by pif_desc but still have the rows with fundunits > 0 listed first. how I can achieve the correct ordering.
This program i am working needs to be sorted alphabetically but right now it just sorts by the length of the names in descending order. i think the problem is my if statement. [Code]

I essentially need the first level of the tree to be sorted by two things: 1) In the tag of each node there is a zero (0) or a one (1) - I need the zero, then the one to be the first sort order. Then I need it to sort alphabetically after that. How can I do this?

View 4 RepliesI have a simple form. In the top left corner I have a numericupdown box. Under that I placed a panel that holds a picturebox. I did that so I could use the panel autoscroll feature if I resize the picturebox to be bigger than the form. To set this up, I set the panel to dock fill. If I do this, it covers up the numericupdown box. The docking on a form is very, very sensitive. How can I make sure I set this up correctly.
btw - If I place the numericupdown box on the panel and I scroll later. The numericupdown box scrolls away also. I am trying to make sure it stays fixed.
Also - I looked to add the numericupdown box to a toolstrip, but the box is not available to be placed on it - This would be my first choice.

i have a panel. the autoscroll is set to true. and i have the menu called "add bar". when user click on it, the usercontrol will appear. but different placed. so there will be more that one usercontrol. i want to do the usercontrol y location is increase when the location x is more than 600 for e.g.

the code above is work, but the problem is, why when i scroll down, and click on "add bar" the value of y location is not same as the previous usercontrol, it should be same on y because it is not yet reach the codition x > 600.

The problem I have is I have made a program which you select a value from a combobox and it changes the value of a url for a picturebox and thus changes the picture, I also have a button which randomizes all of the comboboxes so I will get something unique, but every time the program loads, and I hit random, it chooses the same numbers in order. If you need an example, when I press random the first time I get the number 7 for my first combobox, so the selected index=7, every time I load the program and press random it picks 7 for that combobox.

The problem I am having is where the flow chart asks us "is the letter at counter < the letter at counter -1? In my above code I am trying to answer this with this line:
If intCounter < strLettersGuessed.Length - 1 Then
I have tried about 50 different things in place of intCounter as well as strLettersGuessed.Length -1 and nothing seems to work. Sometimes I get an error stating can't be infinite, etc or I get no error at all but the sort button doesn't work.
How can I get the resulting generated list of links sorted out alphabetically according to "sTitle"? My sort function on line 272 is not giving me the results I need.

I need to display a set of images as rows and columns in a form. The layout should be user selectable similar to MS Word 2007+ - Table Insert functionality ie. rows & columns need to generated during runtime. Is there a built-in layout manager to support this functionality?

I already got this part done. Now the thing is, I have to make a For...Next statement to rearrange them from Lowest to Highest.
View 4 RepliesI have made a database that stores images as each record. I want to add a feature where mum can select a few of the records that she likes the images of. Once that is done I want a new form to appear whereby she can drag those selected images about and arrange them in a simple collage. Then save that as a new image. The database is done and the images can be stored, however I am not sure what would be the best way to select the images she wants. What do people reckon? A form that displays thumbnails of all the images and she can click on the ones she wants? or a check box on each entry? Then does anyone know how I could allow her to arrange and save the images as one new image?
