Nov 9, 2011I had made a media player program, i have some other posts regarding that, my question though is how do you reorder a listbox using drag and drop, kind of like you can do with windows media player. I want to be able to drag song 4 after song 1 and then have it play that song after song 1. I seen a different post but it looks to be in C and not VB.

Arrange Controls On A Form?
Sep 3, 2011I have a simple form. In the top left corner I have a numericupdown box. Under that I placed a panel that holds a picturebox. I did that so I could use the panel autoscroll feature if I resize the picturebox to be bigger than the form. To set this up, I set the panel to dock fill. If I do this, it covers up the numericupdown box. The docking on a form is very, very sensitive. How can I make sure I set this up correctly.
btw - If I place the numericupdown box on the panel and I scroll later. The numericupdown box scrolls away also. I am trying to make sure it stays fixed.
Also - I looked to add the numericupdown box to a toolstrip, but the box is not available to be placed on it - This would be my first choice.

Sep 5, 2009i have a panel. the autoscroll is set to true. and i have the menu called "add bar". when user click on it, the usercontrol will appear. but different placed. so there will be more that one usercontrol. i want to do the usercontrol y location is increase when the location x is more than 600 for e.g.

the code above is work, but the problem is, why when i scroll down, and click on "add bar" the value of y location is not same as the previous usercontrol, it should be same on y because it is not yet reach the codition x > 600.

Extracting A Number From Listbox To Add Them?
Jan 25, 2010i'm trying to do a workshop selector that adds price of each workshop selected and puts the type of workshop the place and the total price then adds the sum of all workshops together.i'm trying to figure out how to extract only the price from the last list box and add them to get the final sum and display in a text box. I have a loop to add it but it only works when the workshop and place is not in the listbox.

Aug 11, 2011I have made a database that stores images as each record. I want to add a feature where mum can select a few of the records that she likes the images of. Once that is done I want a new form to appear whereby she can drag those selected images about and arrange them in a simple collage. Then save that as a new image. The database is done and the images can be stored, however I am not sure what would be the best way to select the images she wants. What do people reckon? A form that displays thumbnails of all the images and she can click on the ones she wants? or a check box on each entry? Then does anyone know how I could allow her to arrange and save the images as one new image?

Add Each Account Number To List1 So Now The Account Number Is Associated With The ListBox?
Apr 26, 2009Ok this is what I'm stuck on:I have 2 ListBoxes and 2 Lists, let's call them ListBox1, ListBox2, List1 and List2.List1 needs to be associated with ListBox 1, and List2 with ListBox2 I loop through a bunch of accounts, add them to LixBox1 at run-time.During that loop I add each account number to List1 so now the account number is associated with the ListBox index number which is right.Now when I double click one of the accounts in ListBox1 it is added to ListBox2 (but it still remains in ListBox1), and the same index of List1 added to List 2, now the account in ListBox2 is associated with the account number at the same index in List2 you see where I'm going with this?The issue wtarts here.When I double click an account (let's say the account at the first index) in ListBox2 it should be removed from the list, so now I remove the index from List2 since it's no longer needed, but now you know what's happened right? ListBox2's List indexes have all decremented by 1 because I just removed an item from the beginning of the list, but List2's indexes have stayed the same (at least that's how it appeared when I tested it).
So basically whats the best method for keeping things in reference? I was told about list boxes in another thread of mine, but is it really the best way to go about this, I can't seem to keep everything linked together reliably.
Check Number Of Items In Listbox?
Jan 17, 2009I have a listbox, textbox, and a button. every time I push the button, an item from the listbox is put into the textbox. when the button is pushed again, it grabs the next item in order and puts it into the textbox. so on and so on until it gets to the last item. once I get to the last item it keeps repeating the last item over and over again. SO what I was wondering is how do I get a messagebox or some sort of checker to tell me when it has moved the last item from my listbox to the textbox?? PS textbox2.text=0 and every time the button is pushed another number is added to the value of textbox2.text. so basically if I could figure out how to grab the value of lines at any given time in listbox I could call a msgbox up!! here is the code I am currently using[code]...

Dec 13, 2011I am trying to use a listbox to hold categories from one table in a database and by clicking on the categories in the listbox it will display data from another table in the database that is linked to those categories. One table has a field called ID and the other has categoryID and categoryID is linked to ID so it displays the numbers from ID.I am using this:

Currently, however with this if you delete a category from the table with ID in it then it changes the values of the selectedindex in the listbox which messes up the data that gets displayed. How can i change this so instead of using the selectedindex from the listbox, it takes the ID from the selectedindex?

Feb 5, 2009I've got a question about Listboxes in Visual Basic 2008 Express. I have a fair bit of experience with Office (both 2003 and 2007) and use the listbox in office all the time. The thing I like most about it is the ability to set the number of columns so I can have a string for the user to see and a second column of 0 width that holds my ref number.
So when I needed to do the same thing in VB 2008 Express I grabed the Listbox control and.....hit a brick wall. As far as I can find out from the help files and searching the web the Listbox control only shows one column really. Ok so it might wrap to a second column to save the user having to scroll but its still basically one column. There seems to be no way of having something like in Office.
I know I have no code, but I don't have any code for this. I'm just asking in case I'm missing a control or something obvious. Hell at this point I'm almost tempted to create my own Listbox control that acts the way I need but thought I'd ask before heading down that route.
