Asp.net - Set Some Of The ListView InsertItem Data Manually (in Code)?

i have an insertItemTemplate as follows, and all i want to do is to programmatically add all the values myself, without asking the user, of course, the userID, picID and dateTime should not be asked to the user, the comments field of course, i want to ask the user as they are leaving a comment about a picture on the site :).

Basically, I'm working on a VB project, one instance of it at home using VB Studio and one at school with SharpDevelop (portable). However, some of the school computers do not have .NET 4 and therefore I can't run SharpDevelop to make the forms, etc. I would like to know how to edit/make a form via code, in Notepad++. An example of this would be setting up a form with controls such as TextBox, Button and perhaps MenuStrip.

Currently I have a textbox with some words and the program randomly removes five words and inserts 5 textboxes below the main textbox for the user to enter his or her answers. The goal of the program is to help the user memorize the text on the program. They can hit a button and new words can be removed and the original words will return. This is so that user is not entering the same answers over and over again.
What I've done is I have created a Listbox and I want the words that are removed to be listed in the Listbox so that the user will have a wordbank to use and I want it to work so that when the user hits the button for new words then the listbox will replace the old words with the new ones.

I have made changes to the windows form name from "form1" to "applicant_name" after that it shows this error The designer cannot process the code at line 249: Me.name = "applicant_name" The code within the method 'InitializeComponent' is generated by the designer and should not be manually modified. Please remove any changes and try opening the designer again.when i comment it its started working fine can any one suggest me wat to do and why it is comming

I'm new to the world of VB.Net <-> Databases.I'm currently working on an application with SQL Compact 3.5.I realize that data et values on objects from the database but what I want is more custom...Students should have 3 fields for example, tableId, their name and birthYear.1 | John | 20002 | Peter | 1999And so on. What I want is to display their birthday on some label.text = "(" & DBvalue & ")" based on the selection of a listbox (which has tableId's listed as values). You don't have to worry about the update method of that label.text value, I just want a way to retrieve the birthYear value and put it into my label.text together with those extra characters, based on the tableId selected. (which I already have a way to get, so don't worry about that either).

What i am doing is trying to manually increment a data column with a range of my choice. Say i have a range from 1 - 10. Now with my update query i want to update a column with 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 UPDATE TABLE SET Type = [min_range] to [max_range] WHERE Po = 'A' AND Loc = 'F'; WHERE Po = 'A' AND Loc = 'F' will return 10 records but i want type to be 1 - 10 for those records couple of days trying to get this work and i am using VB 2008 .NET.

I have used My.Settings for quite some time now, in both VS2005 and now in 2008, but never noticed this behaviour yet... I must be forgetting something trivial? I create a StringCollection setting and manually enter some data (strings).I write some code to handle this, and I get it to work.
Then, I manually add some new strings (and edit the older ones) in the Settings page, save the project, and run my code again.For some reason, the last changes have not been saved... Whenever I look in the settings page, I see them there, but my code cannot recognize them..

I have a vb-2008 program that contains a (listview) control.

Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

Statements like:

.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString
Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.

I have coded a low-level mouse hook. Each time the user clicks (let's say) the left mouse button, a custom event gets fired which is then handled by a form in my application. On the form is a ListView control with the following columns: Time - Application - Button.
I want that ListView to contain the last 1000 mouseclicks made, so each time the CustomMouseClickEvent gets fired, I check for the itemcount of the ListView, I add an item to the ListView and I resize all three columns. Problem is however that this extremely delays the processing of the mouseclick messages.
I'm wondering if it's possible to raise the CustomMouseClickEvent and then handle it in my application while at the same time the mouseclick message is passed on to the next hook to get processed by the systen?

This one is causing me a lot of frustration, and as far as I can see, it should work. What I have is a form with 9 ListViews (ListView1 through 9), and I want to add items to them.The issue is, I have a routine that sets which ListView to use. Say I have set it for ListView4, it works initially on the first file, but after one line of code. it reverts back to ListView1 for the remaining files. (itmModelItem = lvwModels.Items.Add(ModelName) in AddModel.
