Assign A Value From A Listbox To A Textbox?

I have an application in VB.Net that displays the results of a math operation to a listbox. For example I have the 12345 + 12345 = 24690. What I'm trying to do is to have the first 2 numbers (12345 and 12345) copied to 2 different textboxes when listbox item is selected. Here's the code I have so far:

During runtime it only works with index 1 when it gets selected. I have 10 records being displayed (0 to 9). None of other indexes are being shown at the textboxes.

Trying to learn VB 2005. So my questions might tend to use the logic from VBA/VB6.
So, my question is, is it possible to assign indexes on the listbox/combobox? What I have is an ID and a Description from a table and would like to display it on listbox/combobox to allow user to choose from by looking for required description. When selected the ID will be used to search for other information related to this ID.
I manage to display the description but how to assign the IDs?

It appears that I cannot assign the selectedindex for a databound listbox if it has no parent, but I can do so if I have populated the list "manually" from the same datatable. In my code example, the "if" line toggles between loading a list via data binding and loading a list "manually" (both use the same data table). In each case I attempt to set the selected index afterwards. With manual loading, the selected index is set; with data binding, an error is thrown (which can be avoided by assigning the listbox a parent, but the "manual" equivalent doesn't need this). Is this a bug?

I am experiencing aproblem in my VB.NET App. The salary form is a databound form in my app to a linq data source. There are several text boxes to enter and calculate different salary fields. e.g. Basic Salary, Budgetary Allowance and Adjusted Basic Salary...
all the above three controls are bound to the datasource. now on the Leave events of the Basic Salary and Budgetary Allowance there is a function to calculate Adjusted basic salary.
The problem is i dont see the calculated amount in the adjusted basic salary but i see only the underlying data in the database instead of the programmatically calculated amount.

I am trying to assign a dataset to the TAG property of a textbox control in my application. The code seems to do the assignment without any error but I cant see the property TAG name or the assigned value using quickwatch etc. etc. The TAG property name does show in the design window.
Is this property useable in my version (academic 2002 version 7.0) or does the TAG and any assigned value it holds not show in quickwatch. I can only find 1 reference which seems to suggest the TAG property is not supported in early versions, but would prefer a definitive answer.

How to get the textbox value on code-behind after the textbox value assigned on a modal-box? [code]Rows(i).Cells(0) is the first column on the Gridview, it is "ID". Admin assigns the authority and get a new form to the new assign in with vb.net & access. I am not sure about this,I need a way to do the new form assigned? How?Actually, this project is the admin will assign the authority to a manager, and the manager will get the password to log in. Then, the manager once log in and will get a form to set the rooms who is going to use and date, etc, this is multi-manager to handle the room setting jobs.But, I think, I got stuck, I am not sure how to do the new form, HOW DO YOU ASSIGN THIS NEW FORM FOR EACH NEW MANAGER?????? I'm currently pulling in records from a text file into a textbox control (see code below). I want to get more control over this by adding multiple columns and want the ability to select 1 line or multi-line and "delete selected". I believe this should then be a listbox but can't figure out how to convert my code to work with a list box.

I currently have a massive list of names and want to narrow it down via a filter from a listbox. I honestly am new enough that a datagridview is beyond me and something I want to tackle eventually, but this is the last thing I need to roll out the project and just want to finish it.So I am running the contents of the textbox through an if statement and populating a new LB based on the results:

I did bind the list box, the bind table contains prod_id, prod_name
on the list box task,i made the displayed member is prod_name, the value member is prod_name and the selected value is set to none
what i would like to happen is, when the user clicks on the value(product name) in the listbox
