I know this: lblmessage.text = "5" and to assign it another value lblmessage.text = lblmessage.text + "4". This just puts them next to each other, but how can I get them to show up underneath each other?

Feb 29, 2012I have an application in VB.Net that displays the results of a math operation to a listbox. For example I have the 12345 + 12345 = 24690. What I'm trying to do is to have the first 2 numbers (12345 and 12345) copied to 2 different textboxes when listbox item is selected. Here's the code I have so far:

During runtime it only works with index 1 when it gets selected. I have 10 records being displayed (0 to 9). None of other indexes are being shown at the textboxes.

Apr 24, 2011I am experiencing aproblem in my VB.NET App. The salary form is a databound form in my app to a linq data source. There are several text boxes to enter and calculate different salary fields. e.g. Basic Salary, Budgetary Allowance and Adjusted Basic Salary...
all the above three controls are bound to the datasource. now on the Leave events of the Basic Salary and Budgetary Allowance there is a function to calculate Adjusted basic salary.
The problem is i dont see the calculated amount in the adjusted basic salary but i see only the underlying data in the database instead of the programmatically calculated amount.

Nov 17, 2010I am trying to assign a dataset to the TAG property of a textbox control in my application. The code seems to do the assignment without any error but I cant see the property TAG name or the assigned value using quickwatch etc. etc. The TAG property name does show in the design window.
Is this property useable in my version (academic 2002 version 7.0) or does the TAG and any assigned value it holds not show in quickwatch. I can only find 1 reference which seems to suggest the TAG property is not supported in early versions, but would prefer a definitive answer.

but reading it from the label and setting the font to the textbox, is the problem i am facing. i know the code does not read the font as it is displayed in the label's text, so it might be possible to just get the font name in one label, and font size in another, just by locating those two. this i have an idea how to do, just do not know how... if you have a solution on how to locate these two, and add them separately.. getting the font to the label this way, does not show the option of the selection for the font style.. i have tried using my.settings to do so, problem there as well.. basically, i want to be able to save the font selected, and next time the app loads, it loads with those those settings.

How?Actually, this project is the admin will assign the authority to a manager, and the manager will get the password to log in. Note: The value is a secrete key (label visible = false) so I cannot place the value in a txt or xml.
