How do I attach multiple files as e-mail attachments in vb.net? I am trying to use a list box where user will select the file and attach which will appear in a listbox. And also I would like to give the option to delete the attachment also.
What to use for adding multiple attachment to a email. I'm using VB 2010.
First, I have a Form in my company web site to fill a reclamation ..... when you fill and send it, it convert the form into a PDF, save it in the client side "TEMP" and finally get the PDF and send it to a email..... that's perfectly fine. I add to the form the capability of attach multiple files with file upload to the same "TEMP" and displayed in a Grid View to remove or add files and send everything to a email, the attachment capability is working. Everything is working with the PDF not the files(attachments).
There is a way to get the multiple files from the "TEMP" folder and add it to some dynamically variable (array list, attachment collection, list collection, etc.) so all can be send to the email. I already know the way to put it into the email with the PDF.
The problem is to get the files and add it to the dynamic variable and that it work with the email. If the code is need it.
I have this code to attach an image that is saved in my sql database as an attachments (or can be embedded picture) to an email. It is suppose to be a signature for an Outlook email. So I am attaching it to the email. Here is my code. On the line myNewMail.Attachments.Add I get the error "Value does not fall within the expected range."
Globals.EmailSignatureImage.Imagecontent is Byte() I know it has the correct data in it, because I show it in a picturebox correctly.
Dim contenttype As New Net.Mime.ContentType Dim memStream As System.IO.MemoryStream
I have a macro where I send a confirmation e-mail per line out of Excel. I can attach a document with a fixed location (let's say a map stored at c:map.jpg) but I have a problem attaching a document that is specific to the recipient. [code]...
Is the code correct? Or is there a trick what to do with the cell content?
Using asp.net mail... I need to have the file path stored in a field and when I send a mail, it should pick up the file based on the path and send it as an attachment. I work on VisualStudio 2005, C#/VB language and MS-SQL as my backend.
I am using vb.net to display email from outlook express! Everything work fine but when some message has attachment, i can not display message that email has attachment!
Once again I've ran into a (at least for me) weird problem, which I can't figure out.I have a form which allows users to send an email with an attachment and also stores the email in an accessdatabase. When sending an email without an attachment, there is no problem and all is saved to the database.
But when sending an email with an attachment, it produces an error that the database is not found, and therefore nothing is saved to the database.
I'm having an issue where the ContentLength is being set to 0 when I try to use an external function to save a file toa server after I use the same file as an attachment:Dim tempFileColl As HttpFileCollection = Request.FilesDim tempFile As HttpPostedFile = tempFileColl.Get(0)
I'm writing a macro in Excel to connect to a button on an MS Excel 2007spreadsheet. When clicked the button copies some data from the file and uses the data to create a new .txt file. Since the macro is creating the file I can control the file name and storage location. Once created I want to e-mail the text file to a standard e-mail address.
ActiveWorkbook.EnvelopeVisible = True With ActiveSheet.MailEnvelope .Introduction = Range("T22")

I have a function that accepts a string and generates an email attachment based on that string. It works fine for html pages, text documents, and so forth but I can not get it to generate a PDF file.
Code:
Public Sub SendMail _ ( _ ByVal strFrom As String _ [code]......
If I save the file attachment as Whatever.PDF i get the error that it was not encoded properly.I am using datadynamics active reports PDF exporter to generate the PDF
dim pdf as new datadynamics.activereports.export.pdf.pdfexport sendmail("from@", "to@", "test", "test", pdf.tostring, "pdf.pdf")
I think the problem is I am converting the PDF to a string, and then trying to convert it back to a PDF and attach it to the email but I am not 100% sure.

I have created an asp.net form in vb.net that sends an activation email after it is filled out and I was wondering how to attach a file(s) to the activation email sent out after the form is submitted. The function I believe to use after the 'mail.body' portion is: [Code] The portion that is confusing me is what parts above need to be filled in with an actual value. Also, do I need to store the files in a location such as an FTP client or db (at the moment they are on my hard drive).

I have encountered an error whenever I try to run my SendEmail method, the method will actually loop through a folder of files and attach the files to the mail. I am able to send email for "Records", but when the method reaches "Lists", it throws a "NullReferenceException" on the line which I have bold.

I have written a little code to send email using System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient based on examples that I have found online. The code takes e-mail address, subject, body text and even attachment from my form, send the e-mail and sendsme a confirmation.
Initially I had some problems because I was using async but when I reverted to simple send it worked great.
I now have a need to send multiple e-mails (purely legitimate use - newsletters & information updates to registered clients). My solution was to loop through a dataset passing the necessary variables (e-mail address, clients name & personalised body text) to my e-mail routine. It sort of works but I repeatedly get a delivery failure message "The Operation has timed out"
Public Sub emailit(ByVal eto, ByVal efrom, ByVal esubject, ByVal ebody, ByVal ettach) Dim email_to As String Dim email_from As String
