I am programming in VB9 WPF and Blend 3. I was working on a program in Blend 3; I can work on all my forms and everything runs fine in Blend, but when I opened it in VS the WFP forms would not display (I have five of them in my program and they all have the same problem in Visual Studio.), but I can run the program in VS, see the forms in run mode, and work on the code behind with no problem. I can't determine what is causing the WPF forms error in VS. It appears I have a "ResourceDictionary_4 error, but I cannot locate that dictionary in either Visual Studio or Blend. I even tried searching my entire computer and can't find any trace of it. Are there any ideas as to how do I solve this problem? The error messages I am getting are:

i have this line of code to catch an exception if a letter is inputed, or if it is out of rang as a number, but I have added WHEN to avoid catching numberical data. Form1 is a mdi container. It has a bunch of forms that can load inside of it as mdi children. If I close each open form inside the form1, and then click the red X at the top right, application exits fine.If I click the red X without closing the forms inside I get: An unhandled exception of type 'System.CannotUnloadAppDomainException' occurred in mscorlib.dll

View 3 RepliesI have a large project where we have 2-3 dll projects that are converted from VB6 to VB.NET. We have fixed all the issues that caused compilation errors, and most of obvious issues in running, so now we have basically a program up and running. The exe is created from scratch in VB.NET, using a lot of functionality from the converted dll's (including GUI forms). What I wonder is when I run the program in debug mode, I get a bunch of warnings in the "Immediate Window" saying:

...and some of other type (but most of them in Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll).I was wondering if this is common in projects converted from VB6, or if it is caused by bad design in our code...
I've seen some other responses about this and they talk about interfaces but I'm pretty sure you can do this with classes and base classes but I can't this to work.[code]....When it tries to convert whatever Activator.CreateInstance(t) returns to the base class of type Behavior I'm getting invalid cast exception. That type should be of CharacterController which is defined as a child of Behavior so why wouldn't it let me cast that?

Comment out either the 'Dim ... TOKEN_PRIVILEGES' line in the module or the 'Public Shared ... TOKEN_PRIVILEGES' at the end of the class, and the problem will stop occurring.Visual Studio 2008 as well as 2010 does it.
