I am trying to set the proxy username and password. I saw this posting [URL]... and I thought it might be a similar setting for the username/password, such as :
I am consuming a webservice and need to pass username and password using WS-Security. I need to pass the Username/password in the SOAP Header. However, I need to encrypt it using 3DES encryption using the key provided by a vendor. The language I am using is .Net (1.1) (vb.net).
Ok first of all my internet is protected witha a username and password field so when i double click on my webbrowser, a messagebox comes up requesting my username and password. If the username and password are correct it allows me to browze the internet.
Question: Is there a way how i can find this messagebox 's parameters and manage to fill the form without sendkeys? Maybe using api send message
Ok so I can't figure out how to make it so that on my application users cannot just click "submit" without choosing a radio/option button & filling out the username + password field ?? Using VB 08 BTW.
I've been looking at accessing shared folders, read and write, via the network without being prompted by the OS for the username and password.
On this forum, and googling, I can find many things about accessing network shares, but none using code which also passes the username and password required.
What I'm basically looking for is to not have to map a drive on the users computer. Then using code, write or read files from a network share and at the same time pass the username / password required for that network share.
I'm trying to build a web browser using geckofx.I have built it and worked but there's still some improvements to be made. For example I can't bookmark pages and it does not store history. Moreover it can't download files! it can, but don't know how to code that part.
get firefox into my application, i found geckofx Quote:GeckoFX is an open-source component which makes it easy to embed Mozilla Gecko (Firefox) into any .NET Windows Forms application.[URL]..im having real probloms working out how to get it into my application, could someone write me step by step steps on how to get the web browser control onto an aplication? ( VB2008 )also if poss, if you could post a basic form with it on, it would be realy great
I do not know if you guys can help me with this, but I thought it was worth a shot.I am using GeckoFX for my webbrowser in Visual Basic. I was wondering how I can show the download manager my clicking one of my menustrip items?
I'm making a application to use in college to retrieve my calendar and other things in VB.NET. But my college uses a proxy so when I connect my laptop I need to change the internet settings in my web browser to view web pages. how I would send requests via a proxy server in VB.NET? Or is there a piece of software that I can download which tunnels all connections or is there a setting in win7 does this?
I'd like to set the proxy for a web request. However, when I say, for example, request.proxy = "x.x.x.x:xxxxx", it gives me the error "String cannot be converted to webproxy". How can I get around this and actually set the proxy?
The program is for users to submit their username by typing in their username and pressing the submit button. The username may be able to display on the Usernamelabel in form1.(I made the button on form2) I have problems coding to make the text to come out in form2.My code comes out as error.
Here is the code in form2. Public Class Form2
Private Sub Form2_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load
Table2 should be updates from table based on the results... If all results is PASS then the table2 should be updated as pass... if any result is FAIL then the entire case_no should be updates a s fail..
This code was working consistently, but now...This code works on the first pass. Then second pass it just hangs on Code:Dim tcpClient As TcpClient = tcpListener.AcceptTcpClient() for about 2 minutesThen the code will fork for another pass, then fail.....
Just started VB programming this week and have found a wealth of information about what I'm trying to do. Problem is, some of it is more complete than others. Here's what I'm trying to do:In Form1 (my main form), I want to instantiate a class that contains a couple of properties (speed setpoint and position setpoint). When I click a button, I want to pass this data to Form2 and populate two textboxes on Form2 with the properties of this object. I want to manipulate the property values on Form2 and click an OK button which closes the dialog and returns the manipulated data, updating the property values of the object. Here's the algorithm I'm following:1) On Form1, instantiate the class2) On Form1's "Pass Data" button click event handler, instantiate a Form2 object and invoke the ShowDialog method, passing the object as a parameter.
3) On Form2, overload the ShowDialog method to accept the object as a parameter and modify the method so that it returns the manipulated class data.4) On Form2, in the ShowDialog method, populate the textboxes with the class data that was passed in.Here's where I get stuck. If I press the OK button on Form2 (DialogResult.OK), it returns me to Form1, but what hook do I have in Form1 to receive the manipulated class data that the ShowDialog method is returning? Here's an example of what I'm thinking about:
Code: Public Class Form1 Dim clsController1 As New MotionController
[code].....
I'm sure it's probably a very elementary question, but every explanation I've found seems to be incomplete.
Private Function SendEMail(ByVal sendTo As String, ByVal subject As String) As Boolean Try ''# Dim cr As New System.Net.NetworkCredential("me073055", "me271288") ''# Dim pr As New System.Net.WebProxy("172.31.100.25", 3128)
[code]....
I am using the given code to send emails ...i am behind a proxy server..is there any way to give the proxy settings to the smtp client??If not then how do i send emails from behind a proxy server..??These are the settings i need to use to connect to the internet...i need to set this settings in my email client also.
I am using webclient to get and send various information through my vb.net application. All of the code works fine, except that whenever the webclient is used, it seems to lock-up the application (as if its going to crash) but then recovers after it has recieved/send the required data.I have googled around, and apparently i need to set the proxy to null (which is fine because i dont use a proxy anyway) but i dont know how do do this.Could anyone tell me how to set the proxy to null please?
Is it possible to set a WebBrowser control to use a proxy connection without changing all the other browsers also changing to that proxy? To clarify, I have an application that is monitoring a website but refreshing often enough during the day that I'm getting "you've made too many requests, please try again later". I'd like to get around that by using a proxy. Unfortunately not all anonymous proxies can be trusted for secure information like credit card information, so I only want to proxy the webbrowser control and not proxy any other non-application browsers. There is a site that explains quite well how to change the proxy (link not included, not certain on whether link posting allowed) but it changes the global settings on all browsers.I've tried to use 3rd party components (ex IPWorks HTTP control) however that doesn't work well with script-heavy sites that load and update dynamically - it only gets the empty skeleton of the page before being populated from the server DB.
I want to use Proxy with web browser. I got Code which i found some where in vb forums.[code]Its not Working for me.. Please Help me. Random Proxy is added correctly in Listbox.
I am attempting to make a browser. I have it set up to where it can support one proxy. My question, is, How would I make it to where the program would read from a text file, and use those proxies? 1 proxy per line?
I have an application in vb.net which connects to a remote SQL Server. This works fine. But now I have the problem, that my application has to work in a network with a proxy.
My source-code for the sql query is at the moment:
c.ConnectionString = "server=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx;uid=User;pwd=Pass;database=DBName; " c.Open() da.SelectCommand = (New MySqlClient.MySqlCommand("SELECT * FROM Table_S", c)) da.Fill(dt_S)
I've got a vb program that sends an email using SmtpClient. I can't seem to get the message to pass the Proxy server (ccproxy). When sending thru outlook, I set the SMTP server to the Proxy server address, and in the username field I add a #and the SMTP server name following the username. I have tried several differt things here, but to no avail. Here is a sample of how I am trying to send this:
how to use a proxy ?I can use a proxy in vb with a webbrowser or httpwerequest but this not not use the proxy if i open my own browser :/What im wanting is to set a proxy in vb then open my own browser and i will be using the proxy.
