Event Handling - Got It Working In C# But Can't Get It To Work In VB?
Nov 16, 2009I need to create event handler for Outlook event 'item send'. This is to capture the event before email get actually sent. I could generate this event handler in C# within seconds but having problem to do it in VB. Any translation online

Set Event To Work On Every Panel In Form?
Nov 8, 2011i'm not a pro with vbnet and could use a little help on this personnal project. I'm a bit confounded about how to proceed. I'm creating some kind of gameboard for a figurine game a friend create. In the background of my form, I have a panel which is called gridPanel, create by 100x100 square in tile background format.

VS 2010 SQL Query Will Not Work In Startup Event
Dec 16, 2011I'm checking if the application needs to update before the user starts the software. But, they have to enter a few items of data and then press enter. When they do, if an update is available, the application closes, my update app runs and then the new version is opened. I want to just update when the application is loading, so they don't have to waste time entering data if the application is just going to close anyway. But when I run the block of code to check for updates, I get an SqlException.

Autocomplete Collection Doesnt Work With Key Press Event?
Jul 2, 2010In Key Press Event i have put the logic of search in textbox, when i press enter key it will take the values from textbox and brings the data in DataGrid.In another event of GotFocus there is an logic of autocompletestring collection from Table. If i type a in that textbox it will shows all the suggested string in that.
If i comment the logic of GotFocus Event for textbox for autocomplete suggestion then only then Key Press events work else its not working. I dont know why its happening.

I haven't gotten into any problems so far but my question to you are the following1) Is it possible for me to make an event/action that will allow it to work with the script that is php? Jul 31, 2010I've read thru Iceplug's tutorial on control arrays and got it working. I tried to add a new event by basically copying his click event code and calling it a doubleclick event. I used the proper addhandler and assigned the correct name to my sub. I have the click event changing the background color to blue and the doubleclick event changing the background color to green. The background color does not change to green. Why?

Jul 20, 2010I'm trying to validate a few things in a form I'm building. It has a datagrid with clients info (taken from an access database) and a few textboxes where the user can type some search criteria. The thing is that those same textboxes are used to add new clients to the database and to modify a client's information if one from the datagrid is selected, so I made it that the buttons to insert and modify clients are disabled on load and thenevery time the text on a textbox changes ("TextChanged" event) they become enabled. So far so good. But then I wanted to make it so when a client from the datagrid is selected both buttons become disabled again until the text on a textbox changes (to make sure they're adding a different client and not the same one that was
selected).
I tried using the CellClick event from the datagrid to disable the buttons, but since every time a client is selected from the datagrid the info is shown on the textboxes, this triggers the TextChanged event too, and the buttons become available.So, is there a way I can tell the TextChanged event not to be triggered when the CellClick event occurs?
PerformClick() Doesn't Work - How To Make It Work
Feb 2, 2011I have an application that requires data be entered, and after entering, a button is clicked to process that data. Clicking the button works just as it should--the data is processed properly. In constructing a test module, I provide a set of data values, followed by:
btnWhatever.PerformClick()
Nothing happens. I have used this syntax for years, and it has always worked flawlessly. I have triple checked everything else and isolated the problem to the failure of the PerformClick(). The PerformClick() is in a test subroutine that does nothing but fill textboxes and labels with default data, then calls the PerformClick() on the button to begin processing. Again, the button works fine, the data is entered as it should be, but the PerformClick() does not fire the click event.

Aug 21, 2009I have a form that works on my local Machine I created into. I have Office 2007 on this machine. I created the Form with the Excel 12 Reference. I move the Entire conetence of the Project folder to my work computer. Which has Office 2003. Do I need to recreate the form with the Excel 11 reference. I could not get the form to work on work computer. IT has a com error. I am acessing the EXE for the debug folder w/in the Bin Folder.

Sep 20, 2010Starting from my understanding about Background worker control, I understands that the background worker runs the code in its "DoWork" method in a seperate thread, while ProgressChanged and RunWorkerCompleted events are executed on the main thread.In my senerio, I report the progress and under an specail condition my application displays a message box to the user in "ProgressChanged" method using MessageBox.Show(). and in "Run Worker Completed" event the application finalize some work. There the sequence is important, suppose that the message is of Yes or No type and finalization depends on it. Now when i run my application, the background worker triggers "ProgressChanged", but as soon as backgroundWorker's cancelAsync() is called the program leaves the current "ProgressChanged" method and executes "RunWorkerCompleted" code first.How can i make sure that the "Run Worker Completed" code executes only after the completion of ProgressChanged method.

I tried to run this application with DB on another computer it's system is seven and MSA2007 and work very well. then I run it on pc it's system XP and MSA2003. it showed this error
