May 23, 2009I am C# developer and now I am involved in some large, already in production, project that is written in Visual Basic.NET.I am trying hard not to write in C# and use some automatic conversion tool to Visual Basic.NET. I want to be able to read and write fluently in Visual Basic.NET QUICKLY. I can write and read VB.NET but it is not so easy like writing and reading C#.

I'm having trouble getting the reset button to work to clear the text fields because the required field validators and regular expression validators are blocking any code in the reset button's click event from occurring. how to get the validators to not activate when the reset button is clicked? One method I tried was to set the enabled property of all the validators to false in the reset button's code block but no luck.

Finally, in vb6 did not need the database linked to software to generate reports because it filled from a listview as the connection to the database do it for DAO ("C: ProSoft Billiard Data.mdb"). Now the question is as I can if I have to file a report so the connection in my software? is a bit urgent as I have to give and software and I need to do the reports.

Feb 16, 2011I am trying save a value from an input tag in some HTML source code. The tag looks like so:

I have the page source in a variable (pageSourceCode), and need to work out some regex to get the value (3 in this example). I have this so far: [Code] Which works fine most of the time, however this code is used to process source code from multiple sites (that use the same platform), and sometimes there are other attributes included in the input tag, or they are in a different order, eg:
<input class="someclass" type="hidden" value="3" name="user_status" />
I just dont understand regex enough to cope with these situations.

I downloaded them at home, unzipped, and tried to check, but every one shows Table of Contents or Index and cannot find the .htm documents for the topic. The same thing happened in my office. However, these projects work correctly in our classroom
lab and do display the .htm files.

I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. I haven't found a solution anywhere to accomplish this.

Jan 10, 2012This may sound really stupid but I have to ask cause I'm not finding this answer anywhere.I have an application where the user will need to sign up for a new user account on the website [URL]..However when I am using Firefox's plug-in Firebug to view html I am getting something totally different than when I just right click on the site and view the page source.
What I am trying to do is to get the captcha from the website and display it in a picturebox on the application so the user can view the captcha, solve the captcha and then the app post is back to the service for a response.

I have written a code to draw some graphic, just a basic house, tree, sun etc. I have also written a code to magnify said graphics which were all the specifications of my Assignment 1 part A. Now for Part B I am being asked to extend my program so that: A - My graphic can be drawn using different colour schemes designed by me but chosen by the user B - My graphic or an appropriate part of it can be animated around the picture box if the user chooses to do so. Feb 9, 2012Im working on a bulk email sending app and have a page with a multiline textbox which I am wanting to use as a way of allowing a user to enter the email body text.
I need to format the text within my textbox to HTML, most importantly I need to format linebreaks to HTML, however I cant seem to do this.
The method everyone seems to say to use is:

But this just does nothing. My Textbox looks like this:
