Apr 29, 2009i would like to click on any of the taskbar options that are loaded and have a msgbox show with the app name and app directory . maybe even what file is loaded in that app.

May 25, 2010The ContextMenuStrip tied to the ListView control. However, the right click option (edit)appear where ever i click on the ListView area, this gives me exceptional error because the implementation of edit can only cope with a selected row. I only want it to appear when on a selected row (blue highlighted row). How can i do it?

Nov 14, 2009I am writing a vb application and i want it to run in the background and also appear int the taskbar ie no window will be opened. The main function of the application is to get data from an external database and send it to excel so it does not need to open a window just to run in the background and also appear in the task bar with options for connecting or disconnecting from the database.
I also want to know if its possible to send the data from vb application to a particular file in excel?

Good.When that happens, some code of mine executes and will generate a list of options.Then a menu appears where the mouse right-clicked, made up of these options.When the user clicks on one of these options, the menu is deleted and some code is run given the option index as parameter.How can I tell when the user right clicks? I can see an event handler for "click", but that includes left clicks.How do I create one of these menus? I mean, go ahead and right click something. That's the kind of menu I'm looking for.

The timer interval is set to 5000(5 seconds), but every time when the timer is ticking the msgbox appears on screen but the in the file msg.txt is writting once. So, The timer check if that unic is different from unic1, and if is different shows up a msg box, and it's writting the new line in msg.txt, but on next timer tick, even if the unic and unic1 are equals the msgbox shows up anyway, but it's more interesting because it doesn't write again in file, only shows up the msgbox. I don't understand this.

Oct 25, 2009I have a small project that may be a big one - I'm really not sure. I want to add some right-click options in windows to certain file types. I don't want to change the default program for these file type - I just want to add some right-click options.
For example - I have a program that will convert .3GP movies to Quicktime movies. I do not want to change the default player for .3gp movies - I want user to be able to right-click on the movie and offer them an option to convert it to Quicktime.

Task : I need to provide all the Export options (Export Type as well as Export Destination).
Suppose if I click Export button on CrystalReportViewer, it shows save-as dialog window. There we have only format types but there is no type of destination like Application or DISK or Exchange Folder or MAPI).
In the crystal report, if you select File---Export----Export Report, then we can get Export Window (It has both Format as well as Destination). Like I need the same export window whenever i click Export button on CrsytalReportViewer.
In my Older application, I was using VB6 and Crystal XI, But it was showing Format and Destination. Format : (all for ex, RPT,PDF,XLS,XML,CSV,......) Destination : (all like Application,DISK,Exchange Folder,MAPI)

Aug 23, 2010I'm working on one desktop application and need to recognize if/when user clicks on the application icon in taskbar(when application is running). So, it's about app. icon in taskbar to systry. You know application is running, user open a few more applications(word, email client ...) and then when he wants to work again with application he'll click on the aaplication icon in taskbar. I need to catch that click and do some stuff in the app.

It has one Menustrip control docking on top of the form and StatusStrip docking on bottom of the scrren. When User click on any menu item it opens new form or if already opened, show it. My application allow to open multiple child forms opened at same time and all forms StartPosition is set to CenterScreen. My problem is becuase all forms are in cetenr it ovelaps each other and user wouldn't know which form(menu option) is opend. I would like to see all opened forms in different tabs (like in windows taskbar) in bottom of MDI parent form.
