I am making a picture viewer in vb.net. When I click a button to show images from a listview it does not work without the msgbox! I included code

The timer interval is set to 5000(5 seconds), but every time when the timer is ticking the msgbox appears on screen but the in the file msg.txt is writting once. So, The timer check if that unic is different from unic1, and if is different shows up a msg box, and it's writting the new line in msg.txt, but on next timer tick, even if the unic and unic1 are equals the msgbox shows up anyway, but it's more interesting because it doesn't write again in file, only shows up the msgbox. I don't understand this.

At the part that is actually is suppose to show the msgbox it goes back to the previous subroutine at the else statement and runs again but this time it displays. I have never seen this before.

i made a picture box and the fowling event when my program runs:

I'm doing a project in which I have 5 radio buttons. I want each of them to show me a different image when I click on them... My guess is that I have to usea Picture Box. How do I make them work together?
PS: When I click on another radio button I want the other one to disappear and show me the new one.
Just playing around with VB and have made a program for playing "pairs". The program displays lots of face down cards, then the user can click on them to reveal their face and try to find pairs. This is done by hiding or showing the "card reverse" picture
If the user finds a pair, the cards should stay face up, however if they do not match, they should be returned to facing down.
The pictures need to be loaded dynamically through an array...

But because of how many buttons I need I was wondering if it was possible to show the picture in a message, all the pictures are funny motivational posters from photobucket so I want the player to be able to read the dialog. I've already tried doing
