how to show msgbox on button click event if i have some disabled checkboxes and user forgot to check checkboxes. i m using asp.net Usercontrols How to show alert msgbox if user doesn't select atleast minimun 1 checkbox from asp.net checkboxes. if i have disabled some checkboxes on page load event then after user forgot to check checkboxes and click on button then still msgbox will popup "you haven't select checkboxes". to show msg box on button click event if i have disabled checkboxes and if user haven't select any of the checkbox [Code]
I have to insert text box at button.click event. for this I've been using this code implement it, in ASPX.VB file. below code refecting attached screen shot, which displaying the textbox beside to the delete button. Issue: Example: If we insert any simple text box in ASPX page, then we can take that textbox id and we can play with that in aspx.vb file . in the same way I would like to play with the below code by having the textbox Id. I have a asp grid with a few columns that bind to data. The last column has been converted to a template-field. In this template-field is a button with a modal popup extender attached to it. Hidden inside this field is a modal popup. This modal popup is used to add a new account. it contains 2 text boxes, drop down lists and buttons("Add" and "Cancel"). When "add" is clicked the modal should close after the inserting of the new account in the code behind.
The Problem: I get the popup to display and load the Drop down lists from the cache, without problem. How do I get the button click event to fire in the code behind. I've tried using a JavaScript function that performs a _doPostBack('btnAddAcc','') but it keeps returning the error "JavaScript error: Object expected". I gathered after about 1 hour on Google that it is because "btnAddAcc' is not found because it is actually within the grid-view cell and can't be directly accessed. Using page methods and ajax calls is a last resort as the company has a strict policy against this and only allowes this after a bunch of paperwork.
How to show asp.net validation on button click event if i have 200 checkboxes and some of the checkboxes would be disabled and some are unchecked ... if user doesn't check any of the checkbox then asp.net validation control will display and user will be stay at the same page until they check any of the unchecked checkbox ..

I'm trying to develop a new feature for our vb.net order entry system. At the moment I provide an assisted paypal login which loops through transactions and copies the transactions. My program then looks at this data and copies it into text boxes. The operator then approves and saves the record.

Which is the history page, which allows you to search on the paypal transaction id.Unfortunately you need to click on 'find a transaction' which then uses some javascript to shows the post fields. So the problem is that the fields I need to use are hidden.
I have a set of accordian divs (powered by the prototype library) in an asp.net page. I would like to save the state of the accordian, so when a postback event occurs, the same div is open rather than reloading the page entirely and opening the default div.
My plan was to set a page control value with the ID of the open div using the div's toggler click event function, and then fire a click event after postback calling that same div (using the value of the control holding the div ID) as the target. I'm not sure how to fire a javascript click event from vb.net however, and this sure seems like a lame workaround.

I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.
I want to create a server control that inherits System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button but gives it special capability, now what do i mean? i want my button to be a confiorm button that will work like so:

I believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes.
