i have a form called booking with a datagridv called D1 first of all i placed a contextmenustrip on the form booking and named it contextbookingheader and add some items to it but i want the contextbookingheader only in column(0) or column(1) not on all the columnheaders how to do that?

I have a couple of TextBoxes on a Form and also a RichTextBox control which is associated with a ContextMenu1. Now, while my MouseCursor still blinks friendly in one of my TextBox controls, I right-click the RichTextBox and get surely my ContextMenu1. However, this ContextMenu won't do me any good unless I first left-click my RichTextBox in order to set my cursor in there and then right-click again to open the ContextMenu. View 1 RepliesMy problem is I have a data grid in Visual Basic, it works fine but as the columns extend past the width of the window I needed a scroll bar. This is where the problem arose. When a column past the 4th is clicked the scrollbar will shift to give it focus. As there are check boxes here they are constantly clicked and when they are the scroll bar shifts but the button isn't checked and must be clicked again. I was hoping there was a way to disable this Auto focus so clicking a column will not cause the scrollbar to move.

Is there a more efficient/easier way changing the backcolor of a control when it has focus and lost focus? Let's say I've got 10 text boxes. Right now I would have 20 different events...10 for Enter event and 10 for Leave event. Of course, entering would change the back color to "green" and leaving would change it back to "white".

View 1 RepliesI have two forms in an application. One is he background and then I show another keypad form called with the show() method (not showDialog) because I need to perform some validations on btn click.
The kepad has 10 buttons and an Enter Button. The problem is that the form keeps loosing focus (I checked this with a messagebox which keeps poping up once for focus=true and again for focus=false, it continuously keeps losing and gaining focus) so it does not process any keypress events untill i click somewhere on the form. I tried using me.focus() in form load event but to no avail. The forms TopMost property is also set to true.

View 3 RepliesI have a textbox on a form that when it loses focus it updates other text boxes on the form. But before it updates the other textboxes I check the input value in the textbox lostfocus event if it is undesired I return focus to the the textbox and alert the the user with a msgbox. However where my problem is, is that when the cancel button is clicked I don't care what the input in the textbox is because the changes are being canceled but if the value is undesired the it keeps returning focus to the textbox instead of canceling the changes. Is there a way to see what control was clicked on before or in the lost focus event? Can't seem to figure it out tried enter and leave events but no luck!

View 2 RepliesI've done a lot of work to customize the template for ContextMenu in my app, and it worked great as a "right-click" popup window.To my enormous surprise, when I wanted to add the same ContextMenu to a button to work as a kind of "drop-down" menu, it reverted back to the default template. It is really, really, weird, considering it's the exact same control I'm using, and when I right-click the button the template is the one I customized, but when I left-click it(and open it with ContextMenu.IsOpen = True) it uses the default template? I'm pretty baffled right now, and hope that this isn't one of the (many) quirks with WPF that will require me to write hundreds of lines of XML code to fix something that shouldn't even be an issue in the first place.

I'm actually trying to help another member over at CG with this problem, on this thread url...And I'm clueless as to what to try anymore.The thing is, we're trying to add a Context Menu on a Menustrip. If you were to right click on any menu on the System's Start menu, you'd see, that you can right click any menu item, and do whatever with it.I have sourced some code, and eventually got a sample worked out - the problem is, it only works with top level menus, not submenus.[code]If you were to run this code, you'd see that only right clicking Testing ( the top menu ) works. Can anyone see any reason why this doesn't work with Submenu items

I'm wanting to add a menu to my project that is going to be dual controllable (touch screen and physical buttons). For when it is being used with only buttons, i need a way to 'scroll' through the items in a ContextMenu. I've tried using SendKeys to send up and down keys but this did nothing and i've also tried using 'GetNextItem' but this also did nothing.
