I'm trying to create a shortcut for my program that sends the user to the world map of a website with the press of a button, but it isn't working. Here's my code:

I have been using this as a short cut to log into many things as it saves me time and I have previously set up code to log into a website and launch the program but now it does not work because the site has changed.
What i use was Invoke to press the login button but the problem now is that there is no "id" for the object i wish to be clicking. Let me explain..
Here is the code i have:

Somebody told me TextBox_KeyPress or KeyDown but i want it differently.
For example I'm working on my Word file and i pressed "ESC" key program send a msgbox(You Pressed ESC Key).

I need to create a program that sends & receives data via rs232. I have done it many times in VB6 with easy.
Why is so hard in vs2008?
I managed to send (or so I think). Because I can see the LEDs flashing on my board connected to the pc. But I do not get any response back from the board.
The reason I do it in vs2008, is because I need the program to run on a PDA. But to understand how rs232 works in vs2008, I just created a simple program for the pc to talk to my board.
for example, I send:
SerialPort1.Write(Chr(2) & "I" & Chr(3)) and I expect back (into a textbox), a hex string 25 characters long.
The board also send data to rs232 sometimes, without me requesting it.

I have an app that I'm using Form2 to display informaitonal messages without having the user to press the OK button. I DIM form2 as a new form as a global and then add a lable to it on the fly and then control it's appearance with a timer. This all works great providing the main form is being displayed however I can't make Form2 show up if the main form is minimized or hidden. I can get around this a bit by keeping the main form maximized but change it's Opacity to zero but once I do that I have no idea how to return the Opacity back to normal when I do want to see the form. Anyone have any ideas on how to make Form2 display if the main from is minimzed or how to control the Opacity of the main form so I can return things to normal? I was thinking that there might be something I could do with hovering over or clicking on the icon in the taskbar but I don't know what that event might be.

I am making this little tool for this online game i play (league of legends some of you might know it) Basically I made a small program which consists of 4 buttons and when you click button it starts timer and beeps once it reaches 0. Thats fine. Problem is I have to go out of game to click the button to start the countdown.My question is. While the program is running in background is there a way to press the button by assigning specific key on keyboard ? for example if I press F5 it will start the Bluebtn when i press F6 it will start Redbtn while I am in game.

But everytime i press a button to connect my program to the database i keep getting this error message Cannot open database "Northwind" requested by the login. The login failed. i've created a hangman game (Fully working) but since you can only "play" with one phrase (10 letters) it gets boring fast. Basic the current game works by on form load i define the slots (10 string which each hold a letter) and give them there letter. then the user type in a text box and if the textbox = any of the slots then the lbl repasenting that slots changes its text from "_" to the letter.
Anyway what I would like the button to do is when the user presses the start button a random number is generated. The program then looks into a textfile and based on which number is generated it takes a certain line (10 characters per line in a phrase) , moves them into the slots and the game starts. Is that possible to code or it too complicated. The textfile will be in the applications folder (words.txt).

But im having problems on how to know if the cursor is on the textbox or datagrid.For example, If I clicked the textbox, and i clicked f1, Customer List Form should appear. No problem with this. I am very very new to VB.NET and would like to ask a simple question. I want to create a vb.net program and allow visitors to a website to download this program. However, I prefer not to have visitors download a zip folder. I would like to have a program that just gives a prompt to save in a selected folder, once the saved file is selected it prompts the person to download, and then when finished prompts the person to run the program. The reason is twofold:
1. I don't like the extra step involved with unzipping the file. and 2. I don't like the visitors having to look for the "main" file program within the new downloaded folder. So is there any way to have just one file for others to download without having it in a zip folder?
