View 1 RepliesI'm not going to post my code for my transparentlistbox class, but here is a link to it.It's been working fine as is, until early this morning when I tried to set a different size.[URl]..For the longest time I placed a normal listbox control on a form and resized that, setting a new public variable of transparentlistbox to the same size/location as the original listbox, setting the visibility of the original to false, and adding the transparentlistbox to the form (me.controls.add).It looked like this:

Now, since I've moved some buttons around on my main form, I resized the original listbox control to be wider (same height though). When I tested, the transparentlistbox (code didn't change still set to original listbox size/location), the size was that of what I had the original listbox set to, before resizing?
So, I commented out all of the custom drawing/paint events/etc I could find for the transparentlistbox and tested, still stuck to the original size. I stepped line by line debugging and verified that transparentlistbox1.size=listbox1.size indeed matched the new resized size (but didn't actually resize)?
Last I did was comment out the transparentlistbox.visible and put back the listbox1.visible and listbox1 does indeed show with the new resized size? I'm not quite sure what to test next?
I've been programming a Fisheye-panel that holds image and make it behave like the icondock in Mac Os X. But now i have a problem. When i add to many item, i want them to shirk, to make room for more, or grow when i remove icons. This is the behavior i get: When i want them to grow, they don't grow at all. When i want them to shrink, they shrink, but leaves lots of empty space (like replacing a photo from a frame with a smaller photo. The image shrink, but not the frame)

I am developing an application for the first time and need guidance.Developement Env: Visual Studio 2005 Pro, Visual Basic 2005 , Windows XPApplication Target: Windows XP & VistaI developed the application under a screen resolution of: 1680 x 1050 pixels. When the application is installed on any computer with lower resolution, my application window does not size properly and many of controls end up "messing up". How can I fix this issue?Also, I have noticed when I resize my application by dragging the bottom right-hand corner the application does not really re-size, it just gets covered. When I change the size of the window with the datagridview it isn`t resizing smoothly.

[code]i want to extend the window width everytime i expand the expander control to the right.when i run the above quoted xaml and expand the expander control after the build, everything works like expected, but as soon as i manually resize the window, the content of the expander control will expand into the existing area to the left. how can i change this behaviour, so that the window will extend its width to the right side and the content will end up in that new area?

The popup window comes by pressing F4 or ALT+DOWN keys in my datagrid which is getting closed if I press the down arrow for the first time, after showing the first value in the combo box as selected. Next time onwards, if I press the F4 key and down arrow, I can move to any item in the popup window and select the item using keyboard and in that case, the popup window is not getting closed till I press the ENTER key or selection using the Mouse. How do i search thru the different CtrNotifySink window to find the one that contain the Yes button so i can send a click to it? I do need to find it before i can send a click, right? because i try just sending it to the main window with sendmessage and nothing happen.I even try sending it directly to the handle found by spy++ of the yes button with bm click but nothing happen?
I have created a custom control that has a few labels and a button on it. In my main program i dyanmically add this control to a stackpanel. When i add the control i add a few events for it by doing th e following:

I have a form containing a date textbox and a submit button and a close window button. The date textbox onblur calls a javascript function which checks for date validation and some other logic and displays some alert messages. The date on the textbox is always selected and onfocus. My problem is when I try to click the close window button with/without changing the date the alert messages from the onblur logic are displaying and I am unable to close the window. I tried using onchange instead of onblur but onchange too works when a control looses focus. it works fine when I donot change the date but when I change the date and hit the close window button it too displays the alert messages and the window does not close. Please suggest me what will be my best option.

This works on most windows except for ones that are customized. Maximizing the window will maximize the window to bounds of the actual screen bounds instead of the panel1 bounds. Code works fine with normal windows but not with this one. (Spotify Window.)

I found a class online that creates drop shadows, shown below. This works well, even with a resize grip, until I maximise the window. Once I maximise the window or change the window state of another window (eg. Visual Studio), I loose the drop shadow and I cannot get it back.

I am busy with a Windows Forms application.The purpose of the application is to convert Excel documents to HTML format so that they can be published to a website.I have most of the code finished and the application is looking really good.I have although encountered a problem. On the Form I have created an Export, File and Edit button.With the edit button I would like the user to be able to select whether they would like to save the 1st,2nd,3rd sheet and so forth.
I would like to create a window/Form within the edit button that would say something like "select excel sheet" along with a save button where the required sheet number could be saved or selected as a standard save procedure everytime.I know that I need to do this with the settings.settings control. I have tried numerous ideas up until now but it continues to baffle me.
I am trying to add a back button on a popup. But I have having issues because I am getting a 403 error. I have also tried Request.UrlReferrer.ToString(). Simply right clicking and selected back works and the client does not want the tool bar with the stnard IE back button on the pop up.
