I can update, insert and delete all from the database and the listview is updated accordingly. However, I cannnot for the life of me get it to remove a row from the database based on the selected index of the listview!!!I suppose I could use a DataGridView but then I would need to add a datasource wouldn't I?

Nov 26, 2011I'm trying to delete a record from an access database using the command object in vb.net 2010 express but can't seem to get anywhere.If I run the code below, I get no errors but nothing happens. The connection opens fine but the db does not update.the table has only two columns.The variable strCrit is so that I can build the sql string with exclamation marks, When I debug.print the sqlupdate string it seems to read fine.the routine is called from a form with a button.

Nov 15, 2011I have a form to manage student. When I add, the data appear on ListView and TreeView at the same time and the same data. Everything works perfectly.
But one proble about Delete button. I choose the line from the ListView and Delete it. The ListView delete the item perfectly. But I don't know how to delete the item on ListView and automatically delete the item on the TreeView.
Note: When you insert the data to ListView and TreeView. When you fill the information into the textbox. Remember after that choose class on TreeView and Click BUTTON ADD.

Jun 6, 2011I have a small application which has a MS Access as backend, and the front end is developed using VB.Net 2008. When I click on the listview item and then click delete button to delete a particula list and its content on the database, it is giving me the error as "No value given for one or more required parameters". My access database have a Primary key as the first character of the firstname combined with the first 2 characters of the lastname. It does not have a Anutonumber fiels. My code for the delete button is as follows: the code was working fine on a MS Access that has a Primary Key as the AutoNumber being generated.

Clear Item
A menu (not a form) just like when you do a right click on your mouse.

This works fine except for one thing! after I click OK to the msgbox prompt, the record highlights normally and I click on the next record, and I get an Argument out of range exception error message, where I expected to just get another message with the next record number.
