ASP.NET: Perform A Delete On Listview That's Not Bound By A Control?

I have a ListView and I have set up my Delete Link button. When I clicked Delete however I get "The ListView 'ListView' raised event ItemDeleting which wasn't handled." So I decided to try and implement the DeleteLinkButton_Click() and ListView_ItemDeleted() ... however I can't figure out how to identify which row I've selected for my DeleteLinkButton_Click().
I didn't bind my source through a control instead I used the following method.

I want to know how to perform row delete to datatable which is a datasource to the grid.
In details: I have a datagridview (dg) and its datasource is set to dtItem. User will select some rows in dg and press 'delete' button.
dg.DataSource = dtItem;
I will perform a loop and delete the records. Here is the code eg:

The problem is it didn't delete correctly. If user selects row index 0 and 1 in dg and delete it, it will delete the first one correctly and then finished cuz no more row is selected in next gridviewrow.
I tried google and didn't find what I want. may be because i don't know the correct keywords I should use to search.

I have a bound combo box that choose employee profiles and fill the form controls.
I can edit the selected profile nicely, but how to delete that selected profile?
The combo box is bound to a sql table. When i use the...
cbox_profiles.Items.Remove(cbox_profiles.SelectedValue)it says: "Items collection cannot be modified when the DataSource property is set."
So how can i delete this selected item or any item i want from that bound combo box?

I've been working on this for some time and I'm surprised that no one else has had this problem. I have a databound form with multiple date fields. I cannot delete a date field once it has been populated. I can change the date, but that is about it. Once Clearing the field i cannot lose focus of the textbox or even close the form. I have read one article on this but it does not seem to be working. The below code I have found. how to get the field to allow nulls? This is not an issue with the table not allowing nulls either.

I am creating a simple website using the language of VB.NET, I am having trouble with one part at the moment and could really use some help.
At the moment I have items that are stored in a database, when the homepage loads these items are added to a Gridview which allows the user to select the items they wish to add to their shopping cart. Once an item is selected from the gridview it is added to a collection. That collection is then added to a Session. This is the code I have for completing that task.[code]...

My overall goal is to add fake/unbound items to a listview control (for final HTML Table output reasons). This is a code behind solution. Users will not be adding items as it will be outputted in a rigid table.
I have looked at several examples and while this is easy for a dropdown it is not for listview.
The code below works without error, but my item is not shown on runtime. I think the class is not setting the item fieldname correctly, but I can't figure out the right syntax to fix it.

I'm currently doing a program to search for text in powerpoint files using interop in vb.net 2005. When a user does a search, it will open the powerpoint (.ppt) file and do the search. This is working fine.What I want to achieve next is if the powerpoint file is already opened, I want the program to search for text in the opened powerpoint file (without opening the file again in ReadOnly mode).How can I do that..? I mean, I need to first search the list of opened program to see if the powerpoint file is opened and then i need to somehow cause my program to gain control of the opened powerpoint file before I can do a search right..? How can I do that..?

I have built a webcrawler where I use a webbrowser control for a user to enter a url and perform a search. Once the page is uploaded, my app grabs the HTMl and then with a button click convert it into plain text by using html agility pack (HAP). Finally by clicking a button I store the result inside a sql server database.

[VB 2008 express edition] i am doing a application data grid view bound data from MS access (.mdb) as my dataset. the dataset have 5 tables, each table consist of ID, Items, Rates, And Amount, i face some problem here:
a) cannot delete row from the table, (using binding navigator but error)
b) how can make a opendialog to load the .mdb file dataset table in to the datagridview?
c) how do i save table in the datagridview into the MS Access file ?

I have a very simple app that just opens an SQL table using an OLEDB data adapter and binding that to a DataGridView control.I have a button control that simply calls the update method of the data adapter.I have added code for Update, Insert and Delete for the dataadapters update method to use.The table the I am playing with has 10 columns, and the update is working correctly.When I go to add a row to the datagridview and move off of the added row then click the update button, I get an error stating that there was no value given for one or more parameters.This is actually the case, I checked the insertcommand paratemers and all 10 of them have "Nothing" for the value property.I will provide code if necessary, but what would cause the parameters to not be populated with the values from the datagridview control for the insert?

I have 3 forms, one frmMain - main form, second is frmUserType- childform, and the last frmCreateUserType. In the main form I have a menu item to open my frmUserType, In this form I have a button to open another form which is my frmCreateUserType, In this form I have a button to add records then update the listview in frmUserType. The problem is the listview will not access with my add button control in frmCreateUserType. I tried not to used mdiparent declaration for my frmMain and frmUserType as children and it works, so meaning that the problem is showing my frmUserType as childform?I am using vb.net 2008

I have a form with some textboxes on it. The textboxes show values from a table. I have a binding navigator that lets you step through the records in the table and the textboxes update. What I want, is to have a control, say a listbox, that allows you to select a value which will filter the data behind the controls so that you only have one record.
So, for example, say you have a table of contacts. There are textboxes on your form that show name, phone, address etc. You could then have a listbox that showed a list of all the contacts and you could select one, which would in turn the textboxes. The filtering field could be contactID for example.

I'm using ListView control, with SmallIcons style in VB.NET. Icons are loaded fine, but when I start to scroll ListView down or up from scrollbar (clicking from arrows), rowheight drops to about half from normal in next 20-30 rows below/above upper/bottom row (depends from the scrolling position). After 1-2 seconds, ListView is "refreshed" and scrolling continues normally. When focus in on the ListView and I'm moving up/down with arrow keys or PageUp/PageDown, everything is normal. Any suggestions, what is happening? SmallIcons size is 16 * 16. Is it compulsory to set "Blank icon" with SmallIcon size to all rows, when adding them or what? Wasn't like that in VB6, how is it in VB.NET?

Lets say the table has 3 columns (a,b,c) and 1 row of data.

I want the user to be able to re-arrange the columns (by dragging the column headers) before printing the contents of the table.

Statements like:

.. ListViewX.Columns.Item(2).Text
.. ListViewX.Items(0).SubItems(2).ToString
Give the column-name (c) and cell-contents (3) of the origional table .. not the (3rd) column (b) of the re-arranged table.
How can i get the column-name and cell-contents of the (3rd) column of the re-arranged table?

with more control over changing values in a data bound DataGridView.On form load, all the data is pulled down from the attached database and fills the gridIf I want to change one of the values in the grid, I can put my mouse cursor in the cell, change the entry and save it back to the database.
