Display Different Files Like Doc, Xls, Html, Jpg, Jpeg, Gif, Png, Mp3 Etc In A VB Application?

i m trying to display (read only) above mentioned files in vb application. i am trying to build an vb application which can open variety of different files but getting struck?what references, imports will have to be made?
How can we open PDF, Word file, Excel file, Jpeg file, Tif files within a VB.Net Application? I tried process.start command unfortunately it opens another Adobe Reader window to open the file. I want all these files to open within a VB.Net application.
I know how to open local .msg files in webbrowser in html format.The problem is when the .msg has embedded pictures, the only thing that appears is a blank space ("picture not found") where it is supposed to be.If I open the .msg file in Outlook, I see the images correctly, but in my program I can't see embedded pictures.
My students did a tutorial in HTML Help Workshop to add Help files to a VB 2008 Windows application. They zipped the files and uploaded them to our class web site.
I downloaded them at home, unzipped, and tried to check, but every one shows Table of Contents or Index and cannot find the .htm documents for the topic. The same thing happened in my office. However, these projects work correctly in our classroom lab and do display the .htm files.

I want to develop an application which can Write, Save, Read text files(or html files) What I want the application to do is. When I open my application I can write stuffs and then it will save it to my hosting/server. Then, the application will read the text which I already save.. I am making a html application and would like to make an ftp as a folder for the html you are writing, similar to that of visual basic's solution explorer. eg. images wont show from the index location, basicaly something allong the slines of a local ftp / solution explorer is needed desparatley.

I need to print HTML files to specific printers. A search turned up nothing useful. It seems that the WebBrowser control only allows printing to the default printer. Does anyone know of a way to print HTML files & be able to specify the printer?
I have a set of files of various format like pdf,txt,tiff,jpg.I need to render it within the form and highlight the certain keywords.Initially i tried to convert all files to pdf and then render it( using itext for vb.net).Now my colleague advised me to render them as html or images, saying it might make the process easier.

I'm trying to open up an html file (with explorer) and navigate to a specific anchor location. The user should just see the file open up at the anchor's position. It's a local html document, not on the web, if that makes any difference. How can I do this in Visual Basic 2008?
So far I've been opening html files with Process.Start(filename) or Shell(filename, "explorer.exe", etc), but that doesn't seem to work with the additional html anchor tag (#anchorname) at the end of the file name. Also I've looked at webbrowser control, but as near I can tell that is more for editing html files.
I have a very specifically designed table in a .aspx page. I have an <asp:SqlDataSource> tag that works fine with a DetailsView. I have tried DetailsView, ListView, Gridview etc. and cannot obtain the desired design. Is it possible to execute a Stored Procedure and have the individual results displayed in the individual cells of a web page table? This seems like it should be simple but it apparently is not.
