Mar 1, 2010Im making this "for" loop to create a animation of 4 pictures.But when i run... i just get a still frame, when i want it to loop threw each picture at 250 intervals in between images. Mar 26, 2012this is my very first posting and I must say I am desperate. I have a VB assignment due in 2 days and I am so lost. I have written a code to draw some graphic, just a basic house, tree, sun etc. I have also written a code to magnify said graphics which were all the specifications of my Assignment 1 part A. Now for Part B I am being asked to extend my program so that: A - My graphic can be drawn using different colour schemes designed by me but chosen by the user B - My graphic or an appropriate part of it can be animated around the picture box if the user chooses to do so. C - Error checking is included.

What I want it to do is to have it return an array of relitive file paths, from the starting direcotry I give the function. Then I will use a loop to cycle though each file in the array to make certain changes.

VS 2010 - Slowing Down Animation Sequence?
Feb 29, 2012I'm trying to animate a game piece by using a picture box where the x,y location is changed as the image changes (cycles through a walk animation sequence). This all works fine, however it's too damn quick. I've tried slowing it down using a simple:
for z=1 to 1000000: next
While this works-ish there must be an easier way to slow down code....is there? On a related matter: Why does picturebox animation look so crap compared to combining images in the paint screen section? My picturebox seems to flicker every few frames.

So I thought that I should find the two X values for the series at the Y value of the point and check if the X value of the point is between them.
VS 2010 - Series Of Sentences Appear Randomly On Screen One After Other
Dec 8, 2011I need a series of sentences appear on my screen one after the other. I want to have the possibility of:
1) adding new sentences (as many as I want);
2) make them appear randomly;
3) control the time until the next sentence appears (or may be go to the next one by press of a button) (for EACH sentence(for short sentences shorter for long longer));
4) terminate the operation any time.
I imagine it like this: I start the program/application/file -> first sentence appears e.g. "I like ice cream" (randomly out of those that are in the body of the program or in the outside text file) -> it stays on the screen for 2 seconds (controllable) -> next sentence appears e.g. "Lisbon is the capital of Portugal" -> 2 seconds (controllable) -> "Apple is a fruit" and so on in a loop randomly choosing the sentences until I terminate the run of the program.
So my question is: What is the script? And what exactly do I have to do to realize that? My VB level is: installed it yesterday, learnt how to create a button and make "WELCOME TO VISUAL BASIC 2010" message appear on my screen, search all over the internet trying to solve my problem but found only how to generate random numbers.
