I am making a program that gets files and folders off the internet.I want to make a window simular to a windows explorer window only these would get the files online.My problem is href tags for each one of the nodes and then get the files into the listview control. [code] I can get one node but after that I can't figure out how to get the other nodes to work.

View 14 RepliesI am creating a form with the resources which I am creating a programming with languages. I have created three resources which the one that are ZH-CH (Chinese), el-GR (Greece) and en-US (English-United States). I have also built some texts in the resources so I have debugged the program. Everything seen to be is fine, but I find that some weird stuff in the project bin folder. I found that the program has created three folders (ZH-CH, el-GR and en-US) with the dll file in each folder (Project1.resources.dll), I have renamed each dll files name with each different name and I have moved them in the bin folder, so I have deleted three folders. I ran the program again and they have created the new same folders with the same name where it was.
I want to use the same dll files that I have renamed (like each of these: English.dll, Greek.dll and Chinese.dll) without placing them in the resources folder. Id find it so impossible to avoid the program by creating these new folders with the same dll files name without using the files that I have renamed them and placed in the project bin folder. do to find out where the information in VB.Net application that are making the program to create the folders with the same dll files name (project1.resources.dll)?
I could not figure out the key to installing folders/subfolders/.rtf files during deployment/installation. The key here is to 'add' folders and subfolders to the project in solution explorer, then adding existing item (.text (.rtf files in my case) files) then selecting the .rtf file in solution explorer.go to its properties and under 'Build Action' select 'Content' (very Important!). Then under 'Copy to Output' select 'Copy if newer'!Then in code to access these files you use the following code:

i have a audio program that will play some mp3 files from a folder. but the audio files together take up about 1 gb. it is possible to let my program download the files from the internet after it is installed on a computer. to a specific folder..?

Problem is now I have been asked to make the same program start from the second line of the text files to get rid of headers. I am currently using StreamReader to do this but not sure how to make the reader "line feed" before it reads the data. Any help would be much appriciated. Current code below..

I've been looking for a way to do this for like two days now, and no luck.
What I want to do is get into the temporary internet files, find a certain file....
(^^^ I can do that just fine (using specialfolders, etc) ^^^)
and get the internet address associated with it.

Have built a project and associated it with a Setup&Deployment Project. The S&D project needs to contain 2 main folders (under User's Desktop) with various formats of files (xmls, txts, dlls) inside them and several subfolders. How can i copy/import these 2 folders and there sub-files/folders into my s&d project?
When adding them in the usual way, they are copied and defined a source path onto the current pc. You can understand what errors this might create when an another targeted pc does not contain those files to the exact location. Is there any way to copy them locally or somehow import them?
I'm currently working on an application that allows users to select picture files and then categorize them into folders. Now I'm having two issues that are probably simple to fix but I only have a year of experience with vb so I just don't know how to fix them. The first and biggest issue is that once the user has selected and categorized a file, I want the program to select the next file in the folder that the first file was moved from. This way the number of clicks required is minimized. However I have no clue what I would need to do in order to accomplish this. Also, my other problem is that I want to be able to find the indexof a quotation mark but whenever I put it in the parameter it just reads it as a quote.

VB users i have vb2010 express and fancy having a go at making a simple over internet chat application but i am a beginner at all this.all i have at min is a form with

and now from that i am lost as i never done anything with networks.
I've got everything ready to go except for genre selection. I have a combo box added to the bottom of the player at the bottom of the program with a list of different genres. My question is, how do I get the radio to load one of the genres when clicked?The guide that I followed said that I can add a button to change stations and add this line to the button's code to make it change to that station.

You select a folder and click go and it does the job but it only does the files within that folder. What I want to do is also delete all the files in all the sub folders. [code]....

i am making a program to open multiple .exe files. However, i want to make it on a disk, but every computer the drive letter for the dvd drive is different. Is there a way to do a wild card? [code]however this might take a while to search. Is there a fast way of doing this?

at I do not know the number of or the names of the folders, they can be different in different cases, I only have the root path.how I can display folder contents in VB.net and the code worked but couldn't figure out how to create the arrays and display only folders within folders starting with "ad_".

When I try to access the folder "System Volume Information" and other system files I get the errorAccess to the path 'H:System Volume Information' is denied.
