I want to load some HTML into a webBrowser control, then operate a particular bit of code when it has finished loading. The code operates fine as long as I pause to wait for it to finish loading. If I just run the code without pausing, it sometimes messes up the display. webBrowser.Document Completed doesn't run after Document.write.I don't want to use webBrowser.DocumentText = "..." because that makes an annoying click sound every time it refreshes. A lot of people are annoyed by this. There are countless threads asking how to turn off the click, and using .write seems to be the only solution that doesn't require hacking the registry.

I want to load for instance the helloworld.html and delete the sentence "Hello World!" and reload the new one which should be only white. Therefore all the nodes:
<p>Hello World!</p>
<p></p>

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to get a local HTML file to display within a WebBrowser in a VB.NET program. I'm using the code below, however it doesn't seem to work, and I can't figure out why:[code]The first method produces the error "" in the Debug console when I go to run it. If I try it with out the @, I get an empty white page. If I change the address, however ,so I know its a broken URL, I get a 404 message, which makes it seem like it's finding the file but not rendering it?The second method does the same as the first except no error is produced, its like its finding the text but doing nothing.

I'm trying to open up an html file (with explorer) and navigate to a specific anchor location. The user should just see the file open up at the anchor's position. It's a local html document, not on the web, if that makes any difference. How can I do this in Visual Basic 2008?
So far I've been opening html files with Process.Start(filename) or Shell(filename, "explorer.exe", etc), but that doesn't seem to work with the additional html anchor tag (#anchorname) at the end of the file name. Also I've looked at webbrowser control, but as near I can tell that is more for editing html files.

View 4 RepliesWe are using a web browser to show a pdf file located in a folder on the network. The code looks like this:
System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser.Navigate(New Uri("\hostpath ofile.pdf"))
This works fine, but now I have to use a specific user to access this file and I don't know how to include the user name, password and domain in the URI. Is it posible to add user credentials to the URI? Can I use another variant of Navigate method to accomplish this?
