I need to draw a'wave form' in a panel inVB.net, the wave form will be updated once every one second. the problem is the screen blinking whenever it is updated. how can I solve this problem? the paint event code as below.

How can I draw a frame or groupbox or panel whose style effect is 'Raised' (See attachment). In most of the cases when we set the Frame or Panel borderstyle to 3D, the style effect is 'Sunken'. But I want it to be 'Raised'. This is possible if you add the reference- Microsoft Forms 2.0 Object Library, choose Microsoft Forms 2.0 Frame from 'Choose Toolbox Items' and set its SpecialEffect property to Raised. But that is a COM component and I want it to be done through core .Net framework components.

View 1 RepliesI'm planning on using the Smart Device Framework 2.3 to use the signature control panel in a Windows Mobile 5 application using the compact framework 3.5.
The control has the option to save the signature as either a byte array of points, or as a bitmap. Now seeing as I want to store the signature in a sql compact database, I guess the byte array is going to be better. The trouble is, I'm not sure how to render that in a full WinForms application after I've transferred it back to the desktop.
I need to show the signature on a report, so it would need to be an image I could link/embed into the report.

I have 2 panels on the form butttt for panel one i want to slide height and panel 2 i want it to slide width.
I need to center the red panel in the middle of the dark grey panel, when you resize the form the red panel should be in the middle, and the red panel can't be resize, anyone have a code or property to do this?

In the IterationForm, I have values being calculated and displayed as and when an operation is being performed.
In the panel it shows only the blank form. I need to have those values displayed as well.
I have tried using MDI parent with my menustrip1, same thing, that is the form being displayed without the values.
I want to add a MDI parent form to a panel on a base form, the problem is that i must set the toplevel = false when add the parent form to the base form, but if i set its toplevel to false i can't set isMDIParent parameter to true. how can i fix this conflict?

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to draw a 400x400 px image to a 400x400 form that I made. What I'm doing is:
Graphics.DrawImage Method (Image, 0, 0, 400, 400) 0, 0, 400, 400, ...
But when I run the form, the image seems to stretch slightly upon the y-axis, the x-axis seems to be working correctly.
This was what I was doing before (stretching the old smaller images to fit the size)
... (Image, 0, 0, 264, 231) 0, 0, 400, 400, ...
or something like that. Now that I'm trying to do it the correct way, I can't seem to get it to work properly.
Edit: I wonder if using a simpler verson of Graphics.DrawImage would work?

View 3 RepliesI want to move cursor with visual basic and it seems I found way how to do that. It is possible even click with Visual Basic whereever on screen. But I cannot check out where on the screen the click was done and so I want to draw two short crossing lines on that point as marker where Visual Basic clicked on screen. If it is possible to move cursor to that position and show it then it is as good as drawing marker.

On Form1 we have: TextBox1 TreeView1 - holds list of customers, is located near the bottom of the form, not visible from the start. Now, when I start typing text in TextBox1 (i need to filter customers), TreeView1 appears and suggest for example 30 customers matching the searched text. I want the program to show the treeview and draw it also outside of the Form1 boundaries.

I want to draw shapes on a form but cant for the life of me get it to work - no errors but no actual shapes are being drawn. So I have created a method called drawFace which is run when a new instance of the object is created. This method has the following code in it

It doesn't cause any errors, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Also tried adding a picture box to the stage and ammending the code as such
