Dynamically Create Another PictureBox On The Form While The Program Runs (to The Left Of The Static One)?
Aug 12, 2011
I've created a form with a PictureBox on it and would like to dynamically create another PictureBox on the form while the program runs (to the left of the static one). I've written this code:
Dim temp As PictureBox
temp = New PictureBox
temp.Image = StaticPictureBox.Image
temp.Visible = True
[code]....
When I run this code I can detect that the temp PictureBox does get created. However, it is not rendered onto the form. It seems like it's there but is invisible.
why the pictuebox go outside the form when I give it a picturebox.left=me. width-picturebox.width?it has to be in the form border I don't understand How this happen
I've been looking for a way to create a launch sequence that runs the program while simultaneously minimizing the IDE to the tray.I've been unable to find even a discussion on such.
what I would like to do is create a program that runs in the task bar next to the time. What I want this to do is listen for the key stroke combo of CTRL-ALT-T no matter what program they are in. When they hit this key stroke I want the program to do is hide the task bar on the bottom of the screen. you know how you can change the hight to two rows one row and so on but you can also drag it down so it has no rows and can't see it. Then when they hit CTRL-ALT-T it will then display the task bar with what ever the hight wa set to. Just don't know what direction to go to do this.
I am adding some picture boxes to the form dynamically, I want to give the users an option to remove the picture box, say by right clicking on it and selecting Remove. Or by some other way, as it is available in Microsoft Word, where the user can simply press Delete to remove the picture.
I need to create a small program that runs in the taskbar to monitor browser urls for particular words.We are using it at work to catch people going to certain banned websites in the work place.Right now it works if i hand code each banned site into the code directly and run with a timer:[code]This works perfectly. Problem now is the Admins want direct access to add/remove different sites to the list.There is no way I am giving them access directly to my code (a bad day comes to mind).So I am attaching a small database with a small table to the server and allowing them to add URLS there. I am stuck in how to use this data though.I have tried pulling up the database column into a listbox but can not configure the code to check each line in listbox to compare to each browser window.
I also tried listed the items in a one column datagrid and try to loop through each row to compare each window.I need each browser window to be compared to a list of items and trigger events if a match is found.If your wondering why I am building this, our IS security people are all or nothing. Either no Net or Full Access.Also our people are a bit to smart to be tracked through history or simple blocking methods.
I'm running VB2008 on Windows 7; I've written out a ver simple piece of code:
Option Explicit On Module
[code]....
When I run or debug the code, it asks for the First Number and then just completes the running of the program without asking for the second number and uses some random number. The console.readline() doesn't work either, the console window just disappears.
I want to create labels in my page dynamicly, for example the user will choose in a textbox the number of labels, and I will display the number of this label with .text = "XYZ".
I once heard about a software that could dynamically run dotnet instructions (C#, if I remember well) on its command line, e.g when entering 1==1, the output would be true.I don't remember the name of this soft, and sometimes one just wants to know the result of a given instruction, without having to create a new program, compiling it and run it...
I would happily take the challenge to make a soft like this on my own later, but for now on I'd just like to find this soft.Does anyone know its name, or another app which would achieve the same result? (Don't tell me PowerShell, I'm searching for something more handy.
EDIT For those who use Visual Studio and who didn't know (I just learnt about it), you can also use the Immediate Window. It even allows you to get intellisense in some cases.
I want to create a form dynamically.I have a section on the form that has 3 combobox and 2 buttons. What I want is when the user clicks on the '+' button it add another 3 combobox and 2 buttons below the first, and so on and so on. Also when the user clicks the '-' button I want to remove the row of 3 combobox etc.
I have a program I'm working on that, for one of the features, allows the user to drag an image from a picturebox, into the main form space, anywhere they want. [code]...
When trying to drag the image from the CurrentTilePicBox, the very moment I move the mouse while dragging the cursor becomes a circle with a cross and won't drag and drop into the new picturebox.
My report is an image in a picturebox. I want it so if the user clicks on it it will zoom larger --- while the picturebox remains the same size. That's important. The examples I've found for picturebox zooming cause the picturebox to get bigger and smaller. I need it to be like an Access report. Click on the report and it gets bigger. Click again and it goes back to the full image. Of cours when you're zoomed in, the perimeter of the report is not visible. So I'd like to be able to drag the image as well so the unseen portions can be seen.
Using the code below I can create multiple pictureboxes dynamically on a form. What I can't figure out how to do is determine when the user selects one by clicking on it. If I use mousedown events I have to hard code in the subroutine the name of the picturebox, which I don't know until the user selects it.
Private Sub AddNewPictureToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object,
Private Sub Form1_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles Me.MouseDown Dim pb As New PictureBox pb.Location = e.Location[code]....
It does that you click on something in the form then it will create a Picturebox.Okay what I want more is this:
1. It should only can be made one picture box every 32x32 like this:
If you dont know what I mean then just forgot it but please try.
2. When I right click on the mouse the Picturebox should be deleted.
i would like to ask if how do i create a column of picturebox.. something like a thumbnail, with a specified number of columns inside a form.. the number of picturebox depends on a variable.. has anyone done this?something likeimage1 image2 image3image4 image5 image6
Form 1. I have 1 picturebox with image how to make when they move the mouse to the picturebox to show in right or left a new window (to read from form2) and when they moveout the mouse from the picturebox auto to close the window
Hello I want to create a windows form application program that can create games something like Gamemaker or Klik & Play (butt less advanced) with D&D "Drag and Drop" events and actions.
I want to create an application that once installed (this will be distributed software, so there is no point running code that injects stuff into the registry and creates the the auto startup stuff after the install) , runs on start up on windows for all users, and creates a system tray icon. The following is Visual Basic code that creates a registry key entry, is this the way to go?[code]...
Currently i only managed to implement the google map(static) into my application,but i want to replace it with a dynamic map. Is there any website or example for me to refer? I tried reading up google API website, but i still dont get it.
I have a module with generic constants, subs and functions.I would like to be able to use the module in multiple projects in one solution.I also want it to work like the class System.Math, where you do not need to declare and instance of the class before you can reference it.[code]I want to be able to call ClassLibrary1.MyGenerics.Half() just like I can call System.Math.Abs()
I know when I draw to the form and add controls I get a flicker effect.If I draw to a picturebox on the form and add controls will the picturebox flicker?
My name is Orens Xhagolli and I am a between Beginner-Intermediate level. I am trying to create a little game with nice-looking and good options in Visual Basic.net. A good game needs to run in full screen. (Because the new directX is not suitable for my age (13) I don't want to use it and beacuse its a bit difficult to use it.) I read a few answers in MSDN forums but the full screen there doesn't take the entire screen ( The taskbar is visible ).
I got a problem here. How can I let the program run in background when I click the minimize button on the right up corner?While it is running in background, I also wish there will be a small icon shown in the system tray.
I would like to generate a static URL based on a few parameters.The page serve the file for downloading is called CertificateDownload.aspx ,I am generating the download link in Report.aspx.These 2 files reside on the same physical folder.I do not like the replace method ,but I could not think of another way of doing it.How can I improve my code or what is a better way of doing it.
I need the absolute url to be displayed as text in the web browser.[code]...
