Export/save Data From Datagrid/datatable To Excel In VB 2008 Express Edition?

I'm using the 2008 express edition. Now, I created an application that will allow the user to choose transaction in the combobox.text and input its price and quantity using an textbox.text. When the user click button1, it will be push in the datagrid/datable I created. And when the user click the button2, it must be save to excel file. The only thing I need is how to save the data from datagrid/datatable to excel. This is my code.

i'm using visual basic 2008 express edition and having a problem in saving the data i've added in datagrid to excel. i use inputbox to add data into the datagrid. when i click the save button, the data from the datagrid must be save to excel. this is the code i get from some forum and i already edited it but it only saves the last data/row i inputted.

This code works well however when data is exported to excel in one field some values are wrong. Instead for example populating 16-12-19 it populates 43815, 01-03-99 it populates 36220. Again, if the sort code is like 20-72-68 or 60-01-22 it is populated the same way, which is correct. If the value is a date lookalike then this problem appears, but if not then the exact value as displayed on the grid is shown in excel.
I inserted the code (highlighted in red) to set all the fields as text values. Right, it is exported and when excel spreadsheet is opened the field property is text, but the problem still exists. Why doesn't excel display it as it is displayed on the datagrid and database, instead of changing it even when set text.

I am working with Vb.net and this code below works fine. However, when I review the data exported to excel I have a problem with one particular field i.e., sort code. Sort code in the database is in the format 00-00-00. Therefore if it is 12-11-09 or 11-01-66, a look alike of a valid date it is disaplyed as 12/11/2009 and 11/01/1966 in excel after the export. Excel thinks its a date which is incorrect. I expect it to show 12-11-09 and 11-01-66.

In my application I want the user to enter information that can be stored in BOTH an SQL database and and Excel spreadsheet. I tried research but can't find the code to include or import Excel
into my project.I've seen examples like:

but VB doesn't recognize it as a shared namespace. Is it possible to load a spreadsheet into a VB project with express edition?

I'm just using the default SQL Server Express in my vb 2008 express edition as my database server for my database operation. When I tried to update the records on my table I got a runtime error which indicates the error on this line 'myCommand.ExecuteNonQuery()'and it highlights a yellow background on it. The runtime error says "SqlException was unhandled: An expression of non-boolean type specified in a context where a condition is expected, near 'Number'. ".

I have a database ms access 2003 and using vb 2008 created an application.Now, I have the database name as CompanyINFO. and in that i have a table as primary.all i wanted to do is to have a button to export.when the user clicks it. the whole table should be exported as a excel file and should be saved on the desktop as CompanyINFO_Primary_mmdd.I tried various type but was not even close to what is required.

I work for a somewhat large company.There are about 160 Windows XP Pro users. We are still using Microsoft Office 2000 for the most part.We have upgraded some users to Office 2003. We are not using Microsoft Exchange.I have to export every users' Outlook 2000 or Outlook 2003 Contacts into an Excel or CSV file every 6 months as a way of backing the Outlook Address Contacts.Currently I am doing this by physically going to every pc and manually exporting the contacts.This is a large pain.I am trying to find out if I can use or create a Visual Basic 2008 Express program or script that will export the contacts from Outlook and save it as an Excel or CSV file.The name of the file should be the same as the computers net name.It should be saved in the same location, on the network, each time.I am new to programming and new to VB 2008 Express.I do not know or have any code to start with.
