Get X / Y Value From 'line' Variable And Write Back It
Aug 14, 2010
I have this code trying to print a signature to the printer. The problem is it is printed just at the top left corner. starting at 0,0.I want to print anywhere on the page. It means X, Y value needs to be manipulated. How can I get X,Y value from "line" variable and write back it.[code]
I would like to read an HTML file, search each line to see if it starts with </head>. Then add the centering code after it. That line at destination file should read: </head><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="2" width="760"align="center"><tr><td> After this I don't care to search for anything. Just read from source and write to destination. I know there are programs out there to find/replace text in series of files but I am not allowed to use external programs.
I have a mesurement that could be any random value, just for fun well make that 2440mm i need to divde that by the industry standard of 610mm which comes out at 2440 / 610 = 4
Programicaly written NEWVAL = YVAL / STDVAL
NEWVAL (4) gives me refrence to how many instances I want to append a new line in a txt file I know that I want the first line to say 0,0,0 and the second line to say 0,610,0 the third 0,1220,0 the fourth 0,1830,0 and the last 0,2440,0, though this is easily achived with addition how can I automate vb.net to produce a new write line for each each instace of 610 if the YVAL is user defind.Put in simple terms half would be missing if the YVAL variable is double in length at 4880mm?
I have the following code that I am using to parse out a test file. I am getting variable conversion error in Sub Main() when I assign file = Read(). The return value of Read() is a TextFieldParser type. How do I assign the proper variable type to "file" so I can write the output to a text file?
Function Read() Using MyReader As New FileIO.TextFieldParser("C:UsersColinDesktopParse_Me.txt") Dim currentRow As String
I've already used arrays and a random number to generate a sentence with the pattern KLAC, but I need to write this to a text document and then do it again. I have succeeded to write the first sentence, but the second will not register. This represents essentially everything I've tried. (I haven't included the arrays because they're pretty long.)
repeat: Dim rndNo As New Random() Dim chosen_aword = aword(rndNo.Next(0, aword.Length))
I'm still trying to write a text file using input value from textbox growth line by line...it mean everytime i keep in teh value in text box...it will write into textfile in new line... how to rename my text file by current date?...
I loaded a dataset (just one table) from the database. Then I modified f.e. the rows from 5 to the end and add 4 new rows. Now, I would like to write back the dataset into the database.
I am having a problem with an application that displays data in datagridview depending on a selection from a combo box.The problem occurs when I want to write the data back to the database.
I get the following error:"Update unable to find TableMapping['Product'] or DataTable 'Product'."
Is this because the table in the dataset is filled in a private sub? If so how do I make it public?
I am using MS Access 2003 and vb.net to develop a windows application of inventory management.
I have used datagridview in the form and using FillBytoolstrip option, can filter data using type.
But i have no idea as to how can i update the database to reflect the latest changes in the gridview.
following is the code I have used.
Private Sub BOM_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load Me.PartnoTableAdapter.Fill(Me.HemDatabase1DataSet3.partno) End Sub
Now I need to do is I need to read the file after the line DETECT, ON then if I find T250, T169, T176.....Txxx which ever line start with T. I must read and write that line back in between the line FMAT, 2 and DETECT,ON in my same text file.
I am trying to return a javascript function using response.write in an aspx page. The problem is that the function i am returning has lots of quotes and they are conflicting with the repsonse.write syntax. Here is a sample code:
Response.Write(" If hello.StartsWith("H", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase) OrElse hello.StartsWith("W", System.StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase) Then")
This is giving me a problem as the quotes inside are cutting off the response early. Is there a better way to do this?
What's the simplest way to pass a variable back and forth between 2 forms?Let's say I have form1 and form2. Form2 has textbox2 and button2. When button2 is pressed I need the text in textbox2 to display in textbox1 on form1.
I'm writing on a texthandler-project for Vista.(Compiler : Visual Studio 2010-vb)My code must write a string back to file after trimming. I have 4 list boxes and I am trying to write the contents to a .txt file to load back into the list boxes. I am having trouble with the code to write all the contents into the file. Should I make a file for every list box individually? Or just one file? Here is the code I have so far...
Private Sub SaveButton_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles SaveButton.Click Dim FileString As String = "F:Microsoft Visual Studio 2010Advanced VBVB Auto
I am building a simple proxy in server vb.NET and so far it has been successful, but then whenever i receive data from the internet and write it back to my browser's network stream using NetworkStream.Write the received data tends to come up slowly to my browser due to reasons i do not know of. But when I chain my application to another Proxy/listener on my local computer (e.g Privoxy), data seems to come up very fast to my browser. If anyone has an answer to this I would really love to know.btw here is the part of my code {subroutine} that receives data and forwards to my browser.
Public Sub ForwardRequest(ByVal Client As TcpClient, ByVal ClientMessage As String) Dim Browser As TcpClient = Client Dim BrowserStream As NetworkStream = Browser.GetStream

Label1.BackColor = Color.Red is working but I wanted to do this with variable value
I have thios code that will load a php file (text file) into a sting via streamreader then its supposed to find and replace a portion of the text and write the changes back out to the file via streamwriter. I put my code together and after running it look at the file and it's unchanged. After looking closer it appears the problem is the find & replace operation I am doing on the string. Here is my code:
I'm having a bit of a play with .NET CF 3.5 and I'm going insane trying to figure out how to write a line of text to a file...I've seen the System.IO.StreamWriter function but I dont know if thats what I want, or if its relevant to what I'm trying to do.
