Get Data From A DataNavigateUrlFields In A New Page?

i have a gridview with something like 10 columns...but i only show 4 of them.... in wich reads from a sqldatasource and fill the gridview, put some delete and edit commands..then i add column which is a hyperlinkfield and then when i create a new aspx and name him UserProfile...and add some labels.The main objective is find a way to use the data from the gridview and fill the userProfile in a new page...this is the admin.ascx that have the gridview....

In my ASP.NET Web Forms I would like to get the DataNavigateUrlFields from the HyperLinkField control.
In order to get the control I use the following code in the RowDataBound event:

I am creating a notes software. This is just a simple application that will show the data from the database which are Notes_Title, Due_Date, Priority. I display the data with datagridview. I also added a checkbox for each row to the datagridview to mark as check if the Notes_title is already done. In displaying the data, I need to display only a 5 data in a row.So, I create a another CLASS that will only show 5 rows per page. But the PROBLEM is, if I mark the checkbox as check in the first page then if I turn it to the next page the checkbox in the first page that mark as check will be uncheck if I turn it back to the first page. The mark check in the checkbox will mark as uncheck if I turn the page. How can I make it mark as check even if I turn the pages? And How can I save the data row as done if I check

I have more than 30,000 rows in a table. It takes a lot of time to load all the data in the gridview. So I want to display 100 rows at a time. When I click next page button, another 100 rows should be displayed. When I click previous page button, previous 100 rows should be displayed. If I type page 5 in a text box, then I want to jump over to the 5th lot of rows.
I also want to display how many pages there will be. Can we implement this concept in vb.net [winform] gridview. I am using database PostgreSQL.

For some reason when the user click on the submit button and he re-fresh the page the same data get's uploaded again to my SQL Server 2005 database. I do not what this to happen... I am making use of a SQL Data Source!

What I am trying tot achieve is the following:User inputs data in one form that saves to the dataset table no problems. On an edit screen I want the current data saved to appear in this page within all the relevant fields but when saving I want this data to add to the dataset table as an additional line of data so the transaction records are kept.I want to add a new datarow regardless of it saving one change or all 7 changes that are possble.
e.g. Line 1 - user inputs 7 cells of data Line 2 - user amends 2 cells of data Line 3 - user amends 1 cell of data an so on. Unfortunately the terminology for certain items above may not be correct as I am still new to this programming and still on a massive learning curve.At the moment I do not have the code for what I am trying to achieve as I really dont know where to start with it.I am currently able to save the data and have it appear in the "edit" panel however only the cells changed are saved an it overwirtes the initial input.

I have a master page which contains everything that inherits it within a form. A page inheriting from it needs to run some javascript to act on a text field on a page. However, I can't seem to reference that text field through the javascript, since the form begins on the master page. The following line will come up bogus: document.form1.txtFindUser.value = blah.responseText; This is because form1 is defined on the master page, while txtFindUser is on the current page.

Does anyone know why a Page_Load would be called twice on a page when requesting an aspx page?I am using .Net 2.0 with the new .net 1.1 compilation model installed. Whenever I request a page, the Page_Load on the aspx page appears to be called twice, so does the Page_Load on and user controls added to that page.

The thing is i have a Master page and a Content Page. I have a LoadComplete in Content Page and a PreRender in Master Page. The problem is one of my htmlcontrols on content page i change on the LoadComplete event server side of the content page. I also have some code for disabling controls on the Master Page PreRender event. For some reason all controls on the aspx side go through the Master Page prerender except the ones that i change on the LoadComplete side. How can i make sure the entire content page loads and then the Master Page PreRender event is called, making all the controls go through that event.

I've ported a page from classic ASP to ASP.net. Part of what happens in this page is that a collection of custom types is generated and then displayed via Response.Write() commands. I'd like to get the business logic separated out into a code behind file (and maybe move this all into a user control), but I can't seem to figure out how I'd actually display the collection once it's been generated. I have a simple VB.NET 2008 app that users to edit fields in the database. Simple enough as a first "real" project in .NET, right?For one table, I am currently using a DataGridView so it can be edited straight up. However, instead of offering the user the entire table, I'd like to group the data by the 'CompanyNumber' column and use a navigator to page through. In other words, I'd like the DataGridView to show me all the lines related to one company, then click the "next" arrow to show the next company, etc.

How would I go about transfering data within textboxes on 1 page, to the same textboxes, but on another new page.
Basically, I already have coding that caluclates distance time, price per litre of petrol (it's a bus firm company application), and put's it into textboxes within a group box on my page. Basically I just want a bit of coding which will transfer this info, to different texboxes, but on a different new page, the idea is that I can then do fresh coding on that page without it interfering the coding on the current page.

New to VB.net, and trying to re-factor an 'old-skool' ASP page where all the page logic is happening on the .aspx page itself, to code-behind. Basically, I have a button that has a state, either on or off. If on, I set a hidden field to 1, if off, I set it to 0 (the default when a user visits the page).The goal is to simply change the message I am sending to the user.[code]The above code produces the following effect: when I click the button, setting the state to 1 and the page reloads, in Page_Load, I am getting zero results from the If dlList.Items.Count > 0 Then check, and thus am showing the 'No results' message, but the actual asp:DataList on the MyPage.aspx page is returning results... and then if I click the button again, setting it back to 0, in Page_Load, the datalist is now returning results, so I set the text to 'Results', but again, the control on the MyPage.aspx page behaves correctly, and shows no results, as expected. Now keep in mind that the above works perfectly in terms of checking the number of results if I move the If dlList.Items.Count > 0 Then page logic out of Page_Load and back to the MyPage.aspx file, it all works fine (i.e. results when state = 1, none when state = 0)

Using Access I created a few Data Access Pages. These web pages, once opened, work fine to manipulate data as intended, but they keep generating annoying warning messages.There are two messages that pop up every time the web page is accessed. Before the page opens the first message that pops up states: "This website uses a data provider that may be unsafe. If you trust the website, click OK, otherwise click cancel."After pressing OK on the first, the second message pops up and states:"This website is using your identity to access a data source. If you trust the website, click OK, otherwise click cancel."After pressing OK on both messages the page functionality works just fine.I've tried adding password protection to the database and even signing the project with a digital certificate, but I still get the warning messages. This would be fine except there are multiple end users for the access pages and I am trying to avoid the additional confusion this will create, especially since IT has restricted many of the users from editing the internet options.

I've been trying this for 2 days.In ASP.NET and VB.NET I've page1.aspx and page2.aspI would like when I press button1 in page1.aspx to trigger button1.click event and open a page2.aspx in a new window and send to it data.All this can easly be done if no new window, by Server.Transfer or Response.Redirect.But unfortunately they don't have an option to open a new window.[code]....
