im making a program where the user inputs a string into textbox 1 so like "Hello goose".And when they press button1, i want text box2 to get the textbox1 input and replace every instance of the letter "e" with the string "%65" and print it out on textbox 2.

I'm trying to make a program (in VB 2008 Express Edition) that will take text (from a textbox) and then switch the letters (say a->f and A->F) and will put the result into a second textbox when I click a button. I've been looking at this for a while and I'm stumped. I'm under the impression that if I use strOpass = strOpass.Replace(":d", "Z") that I should be seeing any numbers that a user inputs the code line there will return a Z. It's not working and I don't understandI've also tried "[0 - 9]" and :z, but the program is still returning the original input.B is not giving me a hard time over that line ( no errors or warnings. ) The other statements work just fine and return a X just like they should. I am having a problem with the if statement that I created in my code. The condition should be:
- Select Both Comboboxes (1&2) to print out a text in TextBox1
- If only One Combobox or No Combobox was selected, an error message appears and Nothing is printed in TextBox1.
The code I wrote did not function as I wanted. It prints out a text after I select Combobox1 which isn't the way it should be. [code]

View 1 RepliesThe file reads in parameters and two of the parameters used to be in Date Format YYYYMMDD but will now permanently be in format YYYY-MM-DD. This change, I believe, is stopping the import of the file from working. I would like to replace the new format YYYY-MM-DD back to YYYYMMDD in the code. If possible I'd also like to see some output so I know that the old format has been replaced with the new format. The code is below. View 4 RepliesI have a program in which I am trying to do the mail merge with the word template that I already have.
I have already setup the datasource for the word template in the word itself and it is pointing to my Employee Table which has all the information for the employee. I have also inserted the merge fields in the document where ever I need them. Now I want to print the document (Letter) with all the merge fields filled in from my application but for only employee whose Name or Number I sent from my program not all the employees I have in the datasource.
Now if I have to do it in Word, we have an option called Find Recipient in Mailings -> Preview Results in which I can set the Name or Number of the employee to get all his information to do the merge but how can I do the same thing from my program.
I can send all the fields values from my code like in the code below but I want to use my datasource to provide values. I have employee's Number I want to provide to the template to find the employee - so all the values are filled based on the employee's Number.
I am using VB at the moment and VB has an annoying feature called "Default Form Instance", which creates a default instance of a form object when you reference the form class instead of form instance.[code]....
