How Much Content Is On The Clipboard In The Form Of An Integer
May 22, 2012
so i am trying to work out how much content is on the clipboard in the form of an integer. I have tried Dim ClipItems as integer = clipboard.containstext.tostring however this does not work as it is just a boolean value. is there anyway to do this?
I have a VB.Net 2005 project, that has 136 textboxes. I have a button, that when pressed, should copy all of their content to clipboard. In order. Each Textbox has one letter in it.
Is there a way I can implement a loop into it, so for every TextBoxCount or something, it copys it into clipboard?
having a button and text box. And when you click the button, the text in the text box highlights and is copied to your clipboard it one quick move. I'm building this code in VB (Microsoft, Visual Basic 2010).
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click [...] End Sub
application i'm developing in school.I am trying to make the program detect when the user copies new content to the clipboard, when this happens I want the program to check the data type,
I want text content to be written to a text file.Images can be left alone.if a file or folder is copied, i want the location of the copied file and the file name to be written to a text file.
I only really need help in getting the program to detect a clipboard modification, preferably with the AddHandler statement.
I am getting error on the following code Private Sub tot() Dim temp As TimeSpan = TimeSpan.Parse(wetothrs0.Text) wtothrs0.Text = temp.ToString Dim employeeCost As Integer = CInt(temp.TotalHours) wtotcost0.Text = employeeCost * hrate0.Text End Sub wtotcost0.text is a textbox employeecost is integer hrate0.text is integer that is coming from database
I'd like to ask if anyone knows how to properly use the clipboard to take information from a rich text box and send it to the clipboard. You see, if I try the following, which is pulling text from a rich text box, named RichTextBox2:
I am unable to read a pasted datagridviewrow object from the clipboard. All I want to do is, when a user has the entire row selected and copied, I would paste that row into the clipboard as a DataObject. That works just fine but when I attempt to read that DataObject (after the user clicks Paste) the DataGridViewRow that's saved in the clipboard always has a value of Nothing. Here's the code I'm using for Copy and Paste.
I want to include the clipboard from the menu strip of my MDI form, ie Cntrl/C and Cntrl/V. I need a more generic clipboard facility than the examples provided. I want to be able to copy from external programs, like Word, or controls within my program to either a Textbox, RichTextBox or whatever, of which there may be several, on a child form. In VB6 this was so simple, but I'm afraid it is proving frustrating, to say the least, in Visual Studio 2008. I have succeeded in getting data onto the clipboard from an external program, but my problem comes when trying to determine the active control on the child form to where I want to paste the data, so I know how to handle it.
I have one main form, and i want to dynamically change it's content, via pressing some buttons.Let's say i have a button "New user" and "Login", and if I press new user, i don't want to make new form + show, i want all labels and buttons of new user to be displayed right in the main form. And if i press login, the main form content to change to some labels and textboxes? All I can now, is just make new forms and show them to the user via .Show() command.
I have a very busy form with 120 textboxes on it. They are all named box1, box2, to box120. this form is a template for 10 other forms. I dont want to create 10 new forms and put all these textboxes on it, so is it possilbe to create a new form; form2, form3, form4 etc...and somehow copy all the content from one form to the other and retain the textbox names. I tried to cut and paste and got some strange errors, then i tried in the solution explorer to copy and past there. I got some odd error about Private components...which i did not understand. As you can imagine with all these forms and 120 textboxes on each to create them is a real effort. Is there not a simpler way?
I want to import various parts of the webpage by string match. Can some one tell me how I do this as this may also involve HTML. For example consider that I import the headlines from the source of url...
I have all my project finished and have know idea how to do this. I have to get the program to print the invoice and have all the code done in the form but not the print button. i have the printdialog1 and PrintDocument1 on my form and can't get any further. here is the code i have so far in my invoice form.
I have placed the following code on a button where it opens the new mail window with the mail ids . I am wondering if there is a way to send the form contents as the body of the mail.
Sub ContactUsToolStripMenuItem1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e
I have a sample app here I could use a hand with Basically I'm trying to update the TextBlock on the main page using MVVM when the content the frame updates the the property. Please find the code attached below:[URL]..How do i get the button inside the frame to change the variable and update the TextBlock on the parent control?
I am still messing around with Cntrl/Copy and Paste from a menustrip. Paste is working fine. The copy is working to a certain extent. It will copy the complete text field from one control to another. how do I determine what is the selected text only. My code below:
Private Sub CopyToolStripMenuItem_Click(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As EventArgs) Handles CopyToolStripMenuItem.Click Dim activeChild As Form = Me.ActiveMdiChild ' Determine the active child form. Dim activeControl As Control = activeChild.ActiveControl
I'm still somewhat new to visual basic and programming in general (started teaching myself in December so I could learn how to program), and up till now I've been very successful at troubleshooting my more difficult problems with liberal use of google and forum-browsing. However, this is the first problem I've had that I can't find mentioned anywhere else.In the design view, my form looks perfectly fine. But for some reason—somehow—at runtime the form doesn't line up properly in its window (white space between the border and the grey area where the background begins). I haven't altered the size programmatically, nor have I changed any settings (as far as I know) that weren't changed in other forms as well (this is the only one that's messed up).
I should also mention that I don't have any code that interacts with the form's own design code or events, except for the Load event (where I assign values to three tooltips).
Form in design mode Form at runtime
The only clues I've gotten to what may be the issue are that if I try to resize the window with the mouse (at runtime), the pointer gets stuck resizing (it can't "let go" of the window). The other clue is that if I click on the white part itself, I'm able to drag the window around (like I were clicking the bar at the top of the window, that I just realized I don't know the name of, which is kind of embarrassing...). Other than that, everything in the form works as it should (including the three half-buttons).
I have a datagridview on my Form1. Im populating the datagridview with rows from an SQL database, however I need to automatically resize form1 so that its wrapped around the content of datagridview..
1)This is my code.. (below)what i am trying to do here is to insert username and confirmed password into a sql table called login via a pre created form.I have 1 textbox, 2 Maskedtextboxes and a button.
what i would like is if the passwords do not match in both maskedtextboxes for the system to throw out a message saying passwords do not match please try again..which then clears previous content and requires the user to enter details again. once details are correct and system commits the new user details to the table and throws up a confirmation message.
i am putting this article in the right section. Actually i need a way to import all the controls i have in my html file on the vb.net application windows form.Basically i want a way to have a replica of my html page on to the vb.net windows form.in finding a way to read the content of the html file as we read the content of the xml file in vb.net.
I have a .rtf file, where I paste a row copied from excel, It looks fine (all content in each cell is wrapped and multiline). But When I open through VB.Net, i am not seeing the multiline rows which it is in .rtf file. It looks like the content comes out of the box and seams like the text coming out of the cell. Is there any way to display the content of a .rtf file in a Rich Text Box in VB.Net 2008. The below shown code used to get content from .rtf file and put in a Rich Text Box.[code]
I have a question regarding using a TextBox in second form within the same project. Currently I am using two forms. From the main form you can click a button which opens the second form. There, I want to type in an integer value into a textbox and use it for the code in my first form. Here's my
