I'm still somewhat new to visual basic and programming in general (started teaching myself in December so I could learn how to program), and up till now I've been very successful at troubleshooting my more difficult problems with liberal use of google and forum-browsing. However, this is the first problem I've had that I can't find mentioned anywhere else.In the design view, my form looks perfectly fine. But for some reason—somehow—at runtime the form doesn't line up properly in its window (white space between the border and the grey area where the background begins). I haven't altered the size programmatically, nor have I changed any settings (as far as I know) that weren't changed in other forms as well (this is the only one that's messed up).
I should also mention that I don't have any code that interacts with the form's own design code or events, except for the Load event (where I assign values to three tooltips).

The only clues I've gotten to what may be the issue are that if I try to resize the window with the mouse (at runtime), the pointer gets stuck resizing (it can't "let go" of the window). The other clue is that if I click on the white part itself, I'm able to drag the window around (like I were clicking the bar at the top of the window, that I just realized I don't know the name of, which is kind of embarrassing...). Other than that, everything in the form works as it should (including the three half-buttons).
I have my company's website (Visual Studio / vb / asp.net 4.0) localized in 9 different languages, and they all work great. When you're on, for instance, about.aspx, and you switch to Russian or Swedish, it stays on about.aspx and doesn't add a query-string to the end of the URL; it just changes the page's text to that language. Will the major SEs like Google, Yahoo, etc., consider this duplicate content for SEO purposes and if so, what should I do?
I want to be able to hide the left hand side of the screen and right hand side of the screen at the beginning of the program.
Then when the user presses create new button the left hand side of the screen becomes available so they can create the new item. Then when they press save it comes back to the middle datagrid only.
Then I want to add an event when the double click on the datagrid row (data is programmed in to the datagrid in the code) the right hand side of the screen becomes visible then when the button allocate is pressed the right hand side disappears again just leaving the datagrid.
I would like to have one Window (without child-windows) that can have multiple content-sets.For example: I want to have a set of lables and textboxes to save information for an object (like a person). This person has several sub-items. I want to have a set of lables and textboxes for these sub-items in my mainform too. But I don't want the lables- and textboxes-set of these two objects to be both visible at the same time.
I am currently developing a service using the SharePoint 2010 Client Object Model to programmatically upload Excel worksheets to a Drop Off Library and then set the properties on the file. This process is working well. However, the Drop Off Library is governed by Content Organizer Rules that aren't being applied to the uploaded file. I have examined every property I thought I could have missed: [code] What's most frustrating is that if I edit the document properties using the Web UI and check it back in without making any changes, the file is moved to its final location. What might I have overlooked that is preventing Content Organizer Rules from being applied to newly uploaded files when using SP2010 COM?
i want to delete few lines from a big text file , normally this lines are at the starting of the text file , so it is possible that i can enter the line no from input box and the vb.net can delete that particular line number from the text file ,

I have a question regarding a javascript command. What I am doing is on a asp.net page, a user clicks on a print button which I have another page open up and at the bottom of that page, I put in a simple script command, but I have noticed that my window.close doesn't always work. [Code]

Public Function buildBasicLabel(ByVal labelName As Label, ByVal text As String, ByVal font As Font, ByVal align As Integer) Dim tmpLabel
[Code]....
For some reason, the label is not lining up with the others once I span it. I'm trying to span it to get all the text to show but once I do, it starts pushing it over. I don't see anywhere where I restrict the size so that shouldn't be the issue.
I tried doing all this in the design and it works just fine. Mimicking the designer code doesn't seem to fix it either unless I'm doing something seriously wrong...
Posting images for clarity. NOTE: The borders are just to show the label alignment and the text should read "Flat-Footed AC"
IMAGE 1: Spanning 1 column (doesn't show all text)
IMAGE 2: Spanning 3 columns (still doesn't show text and you can see it's starting to dis-align)
IMAGE 3: Spanning 6 columns (Still doesn't show text and greatly dis-aligned. It should at least show all the text)

I am using this code to draw a line on a form using textboxes as the x and y coordinates. I then click the button with the code below that will draw the line.

I have one main form, and i want to dynamically change it's content, via pressing some buttons.Let's say i have a button "New user" and "Login", and if I press new user, i don't want to make new form + show, i want all labels and buttons of new user to be displayed right in the main form. And if i press login, the main form content to change to some labels and textboxes? All I can now, is just make new forms and show them to the user via .Show() command.
I have a very busy form with 120 textboxes on it. They are all named box1, box2, to box120. this form is a template for 10 other forms. I dont want to create 10 new forms and put all these textboxes on it, so is it possilbe to create a new form; form2, form3, form4 etc...and somehow copy all the content from one form to the other and retain the textbox names. I tried to cut and paste and got some strange errors, then i tried in the solution explorer to copy and past there. I got some odd error about Private components...which i did not understand. As you can imagine with all these forms and 120 textboxes on each to create them is a real effort. Is there not a simpler way?
The form is an About Us form so has nothing on it only a text box and a OK button.

Why won't the button close the form? I'm puzzled, I tried another button just in case with the same result. UPDATE: I set a break point on Me.Close() and it isn't reaching it when I click the button, I created a new button and the same thing happened.
