Click A Button In VB And Highlight A Text Box And Copies Content To Clipboard?
Feb 2, 2012
having a button and text box. And when you click the button, the text in the text box highlights and is copied to your clipboard it one quick move. I'm building this code in VB (Microsoft, Visual Basic 2010).
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
[...]
End Sub
application i'm developing in school.I am trying to make the program detect when the user copies new content to the clipboard, when this happens I want the program to check the data type,
I want text content to be written to a text file.Images can be left alone.if a file or folder is copied, i want the location of the copied file and the file name to be written to a text file.
I only really need help in getting the program to detect a clipboard modification, preferably with the AddHandler statement.
Im want to use the right mouse click to copy and paste the data in text boxes to a clipboard. Ive tried looking for examples of this but couldnt find any.
First off, I'm using Visual Basic 2010. I've done pretty well with starting out with some basic things. Copying some codes from tutorials to learn what each code does. But lately I've been venturing into possibilities of ideas in my head, and the recent idea is very simple, but I'm not sure how to approach it.
I have a main form that has options to open up other forms. And in one of those other forms, I want to make it so that you can enter text into a textbox, then click a button to "save" the textbox's content so that anytime the program starts, that previously saved content of the textbox will be the same.
And on top of that, I want to relate the textbox back to the code in the main form.
If I didn't explain that well enough, I'm working on making an extremely basic web-browser (a big jump from what I've been doing), and I added the option under a menustrip to open up Form5 to change the home-page.
I'd like to ask if anyone knows how to properly use the clipboard to take information from a rich text box and send it to the clipboard. You see, if I try the following, which is pulling text from a rich text box, named RichTextBox2:
so i am trying to work out how much content is on the clipboard in the form of an integer. I have tried Dim ClipItems as integer = clipboard.containstext.tostring however this does not work as it is just a boolean value. is there anyway to do this?
I have a VB.Net 2005 project, that has 136 textboxes. I have a button, that when pressed, should copy all of their content to clipboard. In order. Each Textbox has one letter in it.
Is there a way I can implement a loop into it, so for every TextBoxCount or something, it copys it into clipboard?
I have master page in ASP.NET. I have added two asp controls to master page i.e. _EmpDROPDOWN and _findBUTTON.I have one content page. FindEmployee.aspx which shows result list of employees (Gridview) based on the selection made in _EmpDROPDOWN when _FindBUTTON is clicked on Master Page.I dont know how to read Master Page button click evenet in Content page. How to read master page button click event (VB.NET syntax) in Content Page?
I have this problem but I already simplify the code as below:Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click
Label1.Text = "hello" System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) 'MessageBox.Show("hahahaha") Label1.Text = "world" End Sub
What I'm trying to achieve here is, after I click the button, the label1.text should change to hello, and after that to world. But I couldn't achieve that. Instead when I click the button, it just paused for 5 second and displayed world.System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(5000) The code is just a dummy for a loop that I have.
I need to click a radio button for Metric and have "mm" appear on my form beside a box where the user will enter numbers. I have 3 radio buttons, American "in", Metric "mm" and Decimal "dec". I want the "in" or "mm" or "dec" to appear as text on the form beside the boxes where the user will put in the numbers.
I just finished reading Hour 3 in Sams Teach Yourself Visual Basic 2010 and I got a little stuck. url....Is the section I'm on, on exercise 1. I have the form set up with 1 button and 2 textboxes, but I'm not sure how I could make it so when you click the button it sends the text from the first text box to the second text box.
I have one combobox, two buttons (Add and View) and listbox. When I click button Add text from combobox is added to text file. This is code for Add button:
I'm not sure how to even ask for what I need. I have a form with many input fields. Here is what I want to do. When I click on a field I want the contents to highlight and then if any new data is entered it will overwrite the current contents. The way it is now, when I click on a field if there is any data in the field I must first use the delete key or the backspace key to get rid of the current data. If I just type the new data it just inserts it. For example, if the field has "Bob" in it and I want to replace it with "Jack" I have to delete the contents. If I start typeing I may end up with "BobJack", or "BoJackb" or "BJackob" or so on. I want to overwrite the existing data. BobJack
I have textbox "tb1" on my page and I want users to be able to add another if they need to input more data. I have the following [Code]. My problem is that I can only add one text box each time and I also have a search button for the right panel on the page and if this button is clicked the created textbox will disappear.
I want to have the browser to be directed to a certain url upon button click with the text inserted into the textbox place into the url. For example - [URL] No this isn't what I'm trying to do, but it gets the idea through.
I am new to vb 2008, but I know how to automate some html elements. The issuse that I running into is that I cannot get my webbrowser1 to auto-click the "Gmail" button at the top left of the page or the "Show me my account" button on the righthand side of the webpage. Here is the webpage that I'm trying to auto click: url...Can someone please view the html source and give a code sample to click either button so that the page can then go on to the following page?
im creating a high score table. Although i dont know how to write to a text file. What i did first was i created a text file in vb's resources and thats about it.What i want the program to do is:when a user clicks e.g. Button1. then the programs gets the score from textbox1.text (currentscore) and textbox2.text (out of)
then saves it to the text file.I tried the following
Dim oFile As System.IO.File Dim oWrite As System.IO.StreamWriter oWrite.WriteLine(TextBox2.Text("")) EndClass
I'm a noob to the .net world and I was wondering how I would go about creating a rich text box by triggering a click event button. I am trying to shrink the data currently in my form. One way of doing this would be to take away the two rich text boxes I have drag/dropped into the form and just adding a button. When the button is clicked, a rich text box will pop up.
Is there a nice simple way I can validate that text box using an If statement to make sure it follows the rule [#][#]:[#][#] (The #'s are single numbers) and not allow anything but a ':' to separate the pairs?
I want it so when I click a button it takes the text from a texbox and finds the id or name that is stored in a .accdb file. I have already put a datagridview control and setup my connection to the databse. I just need help with the search button code which will pop up all the results in the datagridview control.
Today I installed VB 2008 express and having some older experience with VB at school I tried to translate some algorithm functions to VB. I came across these lines which are very simple.I had one textbox and wanted to show The result is x when i click the button. so, here is the part of the program.
Dim x As Integer Dim y As Integer Dim w As Integer
[code]....
Because I write on paper in pseudo, "The result is", x would be correct and would show The result is x but instead, VB finds error. Does , indicate space here or does it recognise it as something else?
