I am new to vb 2008, but I know how to automate some html elements. The issuse that I running into is that I cannot get my webbrowser1 to auto-click the "Gmail" button at the top left of the page or the "Show me my account" button on the righthand side of the webpage. Here is the webpage that I'm trying to auto click: url...Can someone please view the html source and give a code sample to click either button so that the page can then go on to the following page?

Working with dynamic button. So if i have 5 buttons created dynamicly, i can get alot of information from the button click of that button. You click a button on this app, it will show the name of the button.
But now I want, lets say button 4 to click at 4:45 pm today. Normally I would do something like compare a string to "4:45", and when true, then button 4.Perform_Click.
But button 4 is dynamic, so how do I call that button in my code. How can I address it. I know it will be there when the program is running, I just don't know how to get to it in code.
Now I do have the button names in a database, so I can get the name that I want from there. Just not sure how to tell it, "Do a perform click on button 4" The code below is my test bed, so If you click the main button, it will create a button, and a timer. Click the button that was created, and it will show the button name.

I'm currently trying to teach myself VB. I'm trying to automate a web-browser to go to a certain website. I wish to place the script on my desktop. But I keep getting syntax error 800A03EA. Here's my code.

I want to code some thing up that logs you into a site and automatically posts to it.
I heard you need to use httpwebrequest but I've seen literally almost every tutorial on the subject and I am still super lost.
Also, is it possible to automate the built in web browser? I coded a semi-automatic program in the past but I want something automated.

I have managed to automate the following page: https://post.craigslist.org/atl/S/msg/none/x and even click the "Continue" button, but I noticed that my vb 2008 program is creating an infinite loop and tries to click "Continue" buttons on following pages. I only want my program to click the continue button once, fill out more data on the next page and then click another continue button on a later page. But I need the following code to end on the first page before I can continue coding for the following pages so that the web browser doesn't go crazy.Here is the code that I am using and not sure if this is called an infinite loop, but that is what it seems to be doing:

what I'm trying to do is setup my browser so that when I click an input field like a username, password, etc I would have a screen pop up where I can assign the "id" or "name" of the tag to a variable. I tried using this code I got from MSDN, but it doesn't do anything. What I am trying to do is have the user click the "Purchase" button in my app that will open a web browser to the web page on our site where they can purchase the application after their demo period has expired. I'm new to visual basic & have learned many new things in such a short period of time from being on the MSDN forums. I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. I haven't found a solution anywhere to accomplish this.

I was just wondering how I could send commands to a tabbed browser. Such as navigation. I know of webbrowser1.navigate, but that will not work with the tabbed browser. I would also like to use an commands to automatically login. But I am not sure how I could do that in a tabbed browser either. Webbrowser1.document.getelementbyid does not work for this.

I am trying to automate a process I do with a bank with vb.net. Basically I need to open a website and navigate through it (Automatically through the program obviously), enter a batch ID and enter a file path and name. For some reason when I get to the part where I need to enter the file name and path, it simply will not populate the text. I have attached a word document with screenshots and code. The only difference I can see, is that in the bank website's code the the input type for the file text is "FILE" rather than "TEXT" as it is for the batch id...

- Load MS Access Database (Done)
- Load an MS Access form (Done)
- Take dates from Main.VB and populate 2 fields in MS Access form (done)
- Load another MS Access form called Stage_2 (Done)
- Load a file name into a filed in the Stage_2 form (Done)
- Do a click event in MS Access linked to a button called Pre_Stage_copy on Stage_2 form (How do I do these?)

I have a hidden web browser, two text boxes, and a button. I can add the login information to the forms on the web page, but how do I login? Heres my code so far

there is an image in the webbrowser, that I want to click.I do not want it to hog the mouse though. I want the program to be silent, and therefore I dont think I can use the clicking feature with X,Ys.Is it possible, without disturbing the real mouse, to click that Rectangle? The image is always in the same place, I just don't want to use the actual mouse, so the person can do something else while it runs?
