I tried using this code I got from MSDN, but it doesn't do anything. What I am trying to do is have the user click the "Purchase" button in my app that will open a web browser to the web page on our site where they can purchase the application after their demo period has expired. If this is not the correct code?

I have a project that will add the conents of a .txt file to a listbox but how would I make the program to open a browse for file dialog when a user click a button and then add the file to something to be read from like:

I am new to vb 2008, but I know how to automate some html elements. The issuse that I running into is that I cannot get my webbrowser1 to auto-click the "Gmail" button at the top left of the page or the "Show me my account" button on the righthand side of the webpage. I'm deploying a VB.Net app (VS 2010 Pro) that requiers the user click a command button to open IE to a financial WEB site and download informaion from the site. The app works fine in every detail when installed on the development computer. But, on the target computer when the command button is clicked an unhandled exception occurs which says: System.IO. FileNotFoundException:File Not found.My code behind the button is Shell("C:Program Files (x86)Internet Exploreriexplore.exe www,fidelity.com",AppWinStyle.NormalFocus)
This works fine on the development computer. Do I need a way to code this as a relative path? If so,can you tell me how this is done?Throughout the app I have written relative paths to needed files using paths like (Open(Environment. GEtFolderPath (Environment. SpecialFoldder.Desktop) + "File Name). They all work fine when deployed.

I have a vb.net application that uses Flash movies (AxShockwaveFlashObjects.AxShockwaveFlash). I have buttons in the flash movie. When they first start using the application, they can single click on the buttons in the flash movie and button responds accordingly. But after a while (and I haven't been able to pin-point an exact thing that changes it or my issue would be solved), the user has to double-click on the button in the flash movie for them to work.

I have a button on my form where I'm showing a ContextMenu when the user left clicks on it, I'm actually using MouseUp right now to show it.What I would like to have happen is the user click on the button, the button stays pressed while the ContextMenu shows, it returns to normal when the ContextMenu closes (Either a menu item was selected, the user hits the escape key or they click/tab to somewhere else). Also I'd like to position the ContextMenu in the lower left corner if the menu opens down or the top left corner if it opens up. So the left edge of the ContextMenu is flush with the left edge of the button.Moreso the button staying pressed until the ContextMenu is closed.
Edit: I'm also ok with this being it's own control inheriting the FW's Button that used the assigned ContextMenu as well.

I believe there wont be any diff if user clicks the button on the form and the click event is fired OR if we call the button click event / function in the code. Because in one my project, this does make diff. If I click the button on the form, the App works great but same button if I click it thru the form code, the whole process crashes. This happens in Vista / VB.net.

I have managed to automate the following page: https://post.craigslist.org/atl/S/msg/none/x and even click the "Continue" button, but I noticed that my vb 2008 program is creating an infinite loop and tries to click "Continue" buttons on following pages. I only want my program to click the continue button once, fill out more data on the next page and then click another continue button on a later page. But I need the following code to end on the first page before I can continue coding for the following pages so that the web browser doesn't go crazy.Here is the code that I am using and not sure if this is called an infinite loop, but that is what it seems to be doing:

So I've made a program in VB 2010, and it has three comboboxes and a button to view. Now lets say my first combobox is "Type of website". The options are "search engines", "social networking" and "news". The second combobox values would depend on what the first combobox value is selected, like if it was "news" the options would be "technology", "uk", "us", and "world".
The third combobox would then use the values in the first and second comboboxes to give even more values, for example if it was "news" and "technology" the values would be "engadget" etc. Then the view button would open the selected website in an internet browser. How would I code this?

I created a project with a data entry form. I now added the project to a solution containg other projects. Now from a "Menu form with a button" in one of the projects in the solution, I tried to display the data entry form with the click event of the button on the Menu form and it is not displaying the data entry form. Please could you help to show me how to go about it; such that when I click the button on the Menu form I could display the data entry form?
