Make A Web Browser That Will Open Up A Link?
Jul 31, 2009I'm trying to make a web browser that will open up a link similar to this:

My problem is this: As you can see from the image, Those two boxes will be where the user will enter in a first and last name, and that will be added into the address where x1namex and x2namex are. How can I make Visual Basic make the url and then immediately show it on the web browser (shown to the right of the two input boxes.)?

Jun 15, 2010I Have Read Many other questions similar to this one and i still don't understand. I Made a tabbed web browser in visual basic 2010 and i think its going pretty well. The Only problem is when i go to another website and click on a link,it opens up in another web browser window such as Internet Explorer. Sometimes even on Mozilla Firefox.

When you click a button on Form 2, I want to run a Private Sub that is on Form 1, whilst Form 1 is still open.
The idea is that the data i've entered on Form 2, once I close this form, I can continue working with Form 1 with the updated data without having to close and re-open it.

On this page there is a hyper link called 'Click Here' .. when I click it, it opens another window with things in it.
How can I click this hyper link in vb.net automatically without me clicking on it with the mouse, and how do I open the window in a second web browser ?
We can assume that the first browser is called (WebBroswer1 ) and the second one is called (WebBrower2).
I know how to perform buttons clicks and do raise the 'OnClick' Events, but I don't know how to do it with a hyper links.

I have made a kiosk type software (for my 7 year old daughter so she can only do what I want her to do on one of our computers)
1. I have a toolstripcombobox that will be where she puts in the url's. I need information on keeping the history of where she goes? So when she clicks the arrow to the right it lists all the sites she has been to.
2. Right now, the webbrowser navigates to where the url is (www. vbdotnetforums.com), but when you click a link it dosn't update the textbox with the new url [URL]. It just stays at the first url.... Anyone know how to fix this?
3. Any help being able to add tabs and load the tab with the url like internet explorer?

Dec 18, 2009I have a form with a webbrowser control on it, and I load up a local file in it with some code for a rotating banner (so I can support my app with advertising).The problem I'm having is, it is for example, a banner ad in the small banner sized control, when the user click's it, it loads the new page within the same control, which is way too small.I'd like for any click in the control to load up the link in IE itself, outside of my app. Putting target=_blank so far hasn't helped. Below is the code that I am loading up in my control.

Aug 29, 2009I'm new to visual basic & have learned many new things in such a short period of time from being on the MSDN forums. I have learned particularly in the subject of automating web browsing control using the getattributes etc., but I have tried everything that I have seen in the forums to auto click the "Settings" link in a created gmail account and then have the browser automate the "Forwarding" to another gmail address. I haven't found a solution anywhere to accomplish this.

Mar 27, 2009I have been converting my VB6 programmes to VB 2008, and I am beginning to regret it.According to the books that I am reading on the subject, I can call a second form from the first one. That is, when the first form code has completed, and the final line reads:
frmForm2.Show()
the second form should open and wait for input.This does not happen, the form flashes and then disappears without allowing any input, or button click.I must admit that I preferred being able to start from a module, with a Main() sub, which then read the forms, a la VB6. everything seemed to work fine then.

Feb 4, 2012When I hit the submit button I want the entered data to appear in textboxes on groupForm, but this isn't happening. I have to restart the form or hit the Refresh button for the data to appear.[code]...
I added groupForm.populate() at the end of the latter function for testing purposes, but I know that shouldn't be necessary ("populate" just loops over all items in the ProfitObjects array and calls NewProfitObjectsItem for each one).
Anyway; when I submit the data from the second form, the groupForm doesn't automatically show the new data. I either have to hit the refresh button or restart the form (it calls populate() on form load).
I simply want the new item to appear immediately after Submitting it. And it should, because that's what groupForm.NewProfitObjectsItem() does. And to top it off I added groupForm.populate(). I'm assuming it's not working because it's called from an external form, or because the other form is open/has the focus.
