I am loading a table from access in my form while clicking on a "load table"button:
Private Sub Button1_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles btnLoadtable.Click
Me.WoodsheetsTableAdapter.Fill(Me.WoodshopDataSet.woodsheets) End Sub
The binding navigator should not be visible so I set the property "Visible" to "No"...
What is the code to include for another button called "Next" to use the functionality which is normally in the bindingnavigator to move to the next item in that table?
Im still working on my scheduling program and Im thinking of how to get it where it dont add my agent until they actually leave for lunch and not just t the time they are "supposed" to. So sine my program sends emails Ive been thinking of making it where the agent replies with #lunch sh250080 and then when my program receives it it adds them to the lunch list.
The basic System.Byte doesn't make me happy, especially when I'm doing network operations that deliver bytes as BigEndian while the System.Byte relies on the System.Bitconverter that's almost always going to process LittleEndian.
So I'm working on a custom Class that contains a basic, underlying System.Byte that I can play with; and I want to give it a Property called Byte so the underlying value can be returned or set. The problem is that Byte is a Visual Basic Keyword, so when I try to name a Property 'Byte' Visual Studio starts throwing Intellisense errors at me.

I am trying to edit (in Visual Basic Express 2008) the source code of MapWindow's CSV to Shapefile plugin url... to read directly from a datagrid view. My datagridview is successfully created with the following code in frmMain:[code]With the help of BackWoodsCoder I was able to add the datagridview column names to the X and Y combo boxes but that's where I get stuck again. The original source code appears to re-read the delimited text file instead of using existing object code.I did try the MapWindow Forum first but have had no response thus far.
I am a brand new user of MS Visual Basic 2005 Express and MS SQL Server 2005 Express. I have familiarized myself with both programs but have one extremely frustrating problem. Once I open SQL Server, I can not establish a database connection from Visual Basic using the Visual Basic Data Source Configuration Wizard (even if I close SQL Server). If I reboot and open Visual Basic first, I can then connect using the Visual Basic Data Source Configuration Wizard. But then I can not switch to SQL Server and open the database (even if I close Visual Basic). Again, I must reboot to open the database in SQL Server.I suspect there is a setting somewhere that needs to be changed, but I can not find it?
create admin form to register, Remove, Edit user accounts in the system connected to Microsoft SQL Server R2 2008 or access database ? any toturial videos or instructuions step by step ?
I am trying to migrate a source code from BASIC to VB.NET 2010
Dim obj(4096) Dim strng As String
obj$ = string$ + ".obj" -> Error: Value of type 'String' cannot be converted to '1-dimensional array of Object'I can get away with this in VB6 but i can't in VB.NET.I can't convert obj using CStr either. ToString won't work because it work on the left side of an assignment.
I have a project where I added visually and successfully a datasource of MySql. I binded a datagridview with a table.
But, how do I change programatically the password, ip or user to connect with the MySql server? Because it can change at any time, so I can let the user change these values.
I'm building an c# app that is designed to replicate and enhance the functionality of an VB6 app developed many years ago. My problem is that one module in the old app does some realy complicated things and trying to replicate this starting from specs would be a big pain for me. Even if this sounds like the best idea.
My question is : is there a way i could keep the old VB module and integrate it into the c# app, so that i wouldn't have to rewrite everything ?
however there is a portion in this code that can be simplified more (the if orelse statements). I know it has something to do with a collections class or an array, but I'm stumped on how to change it.
Function GetLastName(ByVal accountName As String) As String Dim lastName As Dim stringArray As Array = accountName.Split(" ")
im making a friend adder for teenspot and this is what i have. basically you click a button and it adds the person selected on the list, then you have to click it again to add the next one. the thing is i need to know how to loops this so it just keeps moving down the list adding people automatically

In a while loop, I am writing a progressively increasing integer value (between 0 and 100) to the Value attribute of a ProgressBar control, when it disappears from the window in which it resides. I have verified at the time that it disappears that the Min is 0, Max is 100, and Value is a valid integer in range.
How do I disable the background compiler for Visual Basic in Visual Studio 2008?
For my sins, I have to work on a large VB.NET project and it often locks up for 20 seconds at a time whilst doing the very helpful background compilation
I'd rather work blind between compiles and be able to do some work.
I am trying to make a console program in Visual Basic on Visual Studio 2008. I want to ask the user of the program if he wants the premium version or the standard version. If he chooses the premium version, then I want it to say premium in his "receipt" later on and if he chooses standard, then standard in the receipt.
I have Visual Studio 2008 Professional and I'm trying to make it so I can click a button to send the application to the System Tray and then click the icon in the System Tray to make the application come back.
Can anyone provide me a method or sample code to do this?
In the "old days" I was working with Linux to create C/C++ programs (really really BASIC...HA!...programs, just learning to program in the courses as an intro) by creating a text file with the source code that was then fed to the compiler/linker that then spit out the executable binary.
I am very new to Visual Studio Application Development. I'm mostly a DB guy. I used Visual Studio as a Report Designer, not much of an .Net guy though I can understand it. I am now asked to create a .net application and I'm trying to create a "Hello World" starter app. I opened my Visual Studio, click File-New Project and all I see is Business Intelligence Projects and Other Project Types. My step-by-step guide says choose Visual Basic, Windows Forms Application. But I can't see it as an option.
I recently loaded my copy of MS Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition, with Visual Basic, on to my new laptop, one with a Windows 7 operating system. I have a Vista O.S., but I want my program to change the Ip address on mutiple O.S. with one click of a button or possibly on a timer to switch ip addresses every few minutes. How would I do this in VB 2008?
