Edit CSV To Shapefile Source Code To Read From Datagridview
Nov 10, 2009
I am trying to edit (in Visual Basic Express 2008) the source code of MapWindow's CSV to Shapefile plugin url... to read directly from a datagrid view. My datagridview is successfully created with the following code in frmMain:[code]With the help of BackWoodsCoder I was able to add the datagridview column names to the X and Y combo boxes but that's where I get stuck again. The original source code appears to re-read the delimited text file instead of using existing object code.I did try the MapWindow Forum first but have had no response thus far.
I downloaded some visual basic 2008 Source Code from a site and when i edit it or delete something it still shows up in program when debuging and playing the program, even when i delete it in code it still shows up how can i stop this
I am trying to read product caracteristics from the source code of my supplier web page and store in my database. The code i created is just to show me the characteristics in a messagebox then i will store them in my DB. But i get an error in the If atrname.Count <> atrvalue.Count Then since values did not match titles count.[code]...
I am looking for sample code that will allow me to read, write and edit records to a local MS Access DB using VB9.For my project, the datagrid and other controls are not an option.I have looked everywhere and cannot find any code examples.I assume it should be straight forward, but with all the changes in VB9 its tough.
i try to read the source code of a web page but i have problem. When i use View Source from IE or FireFox i see all the code of the page.I try to take the code into a txt file with .NET 2005 Visual Basic because i have to read 900 pages.
the code i use
Dim myPageInfoPageURL As String Dim myPageInfoPageResult As String Dim myPageInfoPageHTTPWRQ As HttpWebRequest
I need to get some parts of the source code (mainly product characteristics) from the web site and insert in my database:I need to get some parts of the source code in my db, which are the product characteristics and the it contains its value
Example of what i need is : </div> <div class="clear"></div>
I want to read a specific line from an html source code. Im storing the source into a string file and i want to read the line X.So im using this method that i found on net

So hi! I got this here problem:I'm trying to create a new shapefile for a GIS program I'm helping on and I got to this part where I need to create a new file:
If chkDifference.Checked = True Then chkDifference.Checked = False Dim SaveFileDialog1 As New SaveFileDialog Dim diffStream As System.IO.FileStream
With SaveFileDialog1 ' LOLZ I discovered that VB.NET has a SAVE and OPEN control now. Arigato Gozaimasu Sir Marlon!
[Code]...
Problem is when I got to the dialog box I wasn't able to create a new file. This is an important part as I need to alter the shapes and clone the original file's attributes. I'm here for almost 3 hours with no success....
I don't know what this is called so I've struggled to find an answer from google but I have a vague memory of it from t'old days.I've sub-classed (* see below) about 8 framework controls, overriden some properties and added some functionality into each one.The changes I have made are identical in every case. If I make a change, I have to go through each class and apply the same change there.I was hoping there may be a keyword such as <IncludeSourcefile "common.vb> that I can put into each class.
(* note) I use the term sub-classed but I don't know if that's the correct terminology. I've also seen it used for call-backs. Is sub-classed the correct term to use?
Way to space out the source code of a web page, having each tag on one line, without having to search for each tag ending and then making a new line after.
I need to be able to take numbers from multiple textboxes and input them into certain cells in Excel. Also need to do the opposite (Read numbers from Excel and put them into textboxes.)
I've got a csv text file "test.txt" in the following format with one record per line in the following format: Builder,Bob,B,99HappyStreet,Springtime,4
I've read them into an array and in design use the first two to populate a listbox and then use a selected index to fill text boxes and some list boxes.
How do I write the changes made in the text fields back to the position in the file where it was? It has me stumped although I'm sure there is a SelectedIndex option that can work.
I've considered having all the new/changed data saved as a new record and then just deleting the 'old' entry but my delete code gives me a selectedindex-1 index out of range exception error that I'm working on as well. I am sure both problems are related.[cod]e...

I am trying to get the webpage source code using HttpWebRequest instead of using ebbrowser. So i can use it as a string and use regular expression on that string.I have googled "HttpWebRequest" but all i found was this code which isnt working or i dont know how to use it.
VB 1. Public Shared Function GetPageAsString(ByVal address As Uri) As String Dim request As HttpWebRequest
I am trying to build a form that has a button on it that will open up a 2nd form that allows me to view and edit the connection string. I believe the connection string is also called app.config, and can see that in the Solution Explorer for the project. All I have managed to do is drag a button onto my main form and relabel it. I have no idea how to create code to access the connection string.
- Read a CSV file into an array - Get this visible in a list box, so the values can be: - Sorted - Edited - Deleted - Added - Finally save these manipulated values back to the text file
I want to connect data from any folder in my computer. After user click browse button it appear any location for access database folder. After that user click connect button and but i have facing connection problem.

I'm trying to "convert" an Access DB to a stand alone application. I have under estimated the differences between VBA and VB. Although I have many questions, I'll focus on this topic first.
The Access DB collects and maintains SNMP traps from a radio station. I import CSV files from a remote Unix server via FTP, parse the text line-by-line, and add to a table as a new record. So far, I can parse the text and add to a dataset but I want to write directly to the data source. I also need error handling that will trap errors for duplicate records. There is a Reconcile function that ensures that all lines in the CSV files are added to the table before the files are permanently deleted. Here's what I have so far:
Public Class clsRnm Private msTrapTable As String Private moTrap As clsRnmTrap
