friend if I need a source code which filter a datagridview by two DateTimePicker.
we have:
a database
a table
two DateTimePicker
a DataGridView
and that the filtering process to do so on the field or table column this is the procedure I use to filter dategridview, only with a textbox. and is perfect, but as I modified to work with two DateTimePicker?

View 8 RepliesI have 2 problem, on my "addnew" form i need to filter the datagridview using the datetimepicker(Date) and to sort the "EventDate" column ascending(that column is set as text on my MDB that's why it is sorted alphabetically not by month) and 1 problem on my "em" form when i click on the button("View this Event" ) or double click the selected row in the datagrid the "addnew" form will showup with the selected row in datagridview.
And lastly on the "home" form load when there is a event saved today a msgbox will appear(you have event saved today, do you want to view them) if yes "addnew" form will showup with the selected event in the datagridview.

I have an Access database and I want to view on a datagridview specific rows. For that I used the following :

Cases is the table, OfferDate a field of the table wich is DateTime type.
When I use Between operator I get the following error :The expression contains unsupported operator 'Between'.
I have a dataset along with code for validation. When I use a datagridview and setting the EditMode to OnEnter I get the red exclamations telling me that I have an error when this is needed. This works all good. when I click the save button on the BindingNavigator, the application saves the record even when this validation is showing. How do I filter up this validation code through a datagridview and stop the program saving the data? If you need the code for more information, I will add this to the forum.

I'm trying to accomplish that every time I click + on binding navigator, datetimepicker get the today date. Not only on the form, but on the binding source also.After previewing saved data, the date cell of datagridview is empty.That doesn't happen when I select wished date manually on the form, only when I enter it in code.

View 4 RepliesI don't know what this is called so I've struggled to find an answer from google but I have a vague memory of it from t'old days.I've sub-classed (* see below) about 8 framework controls, overriden some properties and added some functionality into each one.The changes I have made are identical in every case. If I make a change, I have to go through each class and apply the same change there.I was hoping there may be a keyword such as <IncludeSourcefile "common.vb> that I can put into each class.
(* note) I use the term sub-classed but I don't know if that's the correct terminology. I've also seen it used for call-backs. Is sub-classed the correct term to use?
